The silence was deafening. The air was thick with tension and awkwardness. I don't know why. Dean drove at least 2o miles over the speed limit. It felt so familiar.

When we arrived in town, Dean pulled into the same motel we had previously been to. Tomorrow night was the full moon and Dean explained that we were going to stalk the werewolf until then. We crowded into a booth at a local diner. Sam and Dean ate while I sat silently. Dean's burger smelt delicious. Why was it all so familiar?
We headed back to the motel and Sam and Dean fell asleep eventually. I sat alone in an uncomfortable chair and had the television muted in front of me. At one in the morning I heard one bed let out a series of squeaks and looked to see Dean climbing out of bed. He headed to the bathroom and exited shortly after. He stood by his bed noticing me and the television.
"What'ya watchin?" He asked. His voice was deep and sleepy. It sent a shiver down my spine.
"That doctor show you like so much."
"Ha, yeah. Good show. Well, good night again." And laid back down on his stomach and put his hands beneath the pillow.

When his breathing became smooth and long I decided there was someone I needed to talk to. In the blink of an eye, I stood behind Gabriel.
"Hello, Gabriel." I said getting his attention.
"Castiel. What's up?" He turned towards me with a sucker hanging out of his mouth.
"Nothing it's just... I'll be back in two days. When I return, I don't want my Grace anymore."
"Okay. No problem. But why in two days? Is it because of that hunt you're going on with Sam and Dean?"
"So you've been watching me?"
"Yes I've been watching you. No trusts you, Castiel. There's not a minute gone by that I haven't had my eye on you. Good thing too. If it were anyone else stalking you, you would be half way around the world with no memory of anything at all."
"Why?"
"Because of the Winchesters. You aren't aware of this, and no one will talk to about it really, but those boys are bad news. Had we known that you would end up in contact with them, we would have you living in Australia. My favorite continent personally."
"Why? How are they bad? They are innocent boys who just so happen to know about the supernatural beings of the world. Now, they know about Angels actually, because of me."
"Cas... I can't tell you about them. I really can't. But, know that an Angel hasn't taken a vessel on Earth in 2,000 years. Not until they were born. That's all I can tell you. I'm sorry bro. You should probably get back to 'em now. They're waking up." I wanted to ask more, but then Gabriel disappeared.
I too took my leave.

When I returned to the motel room, I noticed it was significantly lighter due to light shining through the window. Dean must have been in the bathroom and Sam stood by the mini fridge looking at a book. I coughed, and Sam looked up startled.
"Ah, Castiel. You're back. Where'd you go?" Sam asked.
"Nowhere."
"Well obviously you went somewhere."
"No. Not really."
Dean came out of the bathroom just then. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and hurried over to his bag and grabbed his clothes.
"Forgot them." he mumbled.
I checked out his body, trying not to get noticed. He was still wet. His muscles were well defined. They were large as well. Soon he was back in the bathroom shutting the door.
