I don't know what happened. I just freaked out and left. We were so close. He smelt so good. Then, I zapped out of there. I found myself standing behind Gabriel.
"Hello, Cassie. Back so soon?"
"Yes. Now do as I asked. I want to be human again."
"Why?" Gabriel whined. "Being an Angel is so fun!"
"You have no responsibilities Gabriel. You don't know what I went through, doubting like I was. You don't understand what I realized."
"But humans are stinky and boring. It's fun to play with them like dolls, don't you think? I mean, you're playing Dean pretty well. The way you had him leaning in for a kiss. Wow. I didn't think you could pull a prank like that, let alone have a sense of humor! Funny stuff!"
"No! It's not like that! I care for Dean. I really do. I just freaked out. I think it will help if I'm human."
"Whatever. Just leave." As soon as Gabriel said that, I was standing in the middle of an empty highway.
"Gabriel!" I yelled. "This isn't funny!"
I tried going to Dean's house, but my power was gone. I let out a sigh. At least I was human again, but where was I? My stomach let out a growl. 'Middle of nowhere and I'm starving. What a great prank, Gabriel!' I thought. I started walking in some direction until I came across a road sign fifteen minutes later. I was only a couple towns over from Dean. Food and lodge was a mile away, as the sign said. I started walking until I entered the nearest town. I then remembered I didn't have money for anything. I patted my trench coat pockets just to be sure. I found three crumpled dollar bills that Dean had given me for a vending machine. Only three. I went into the Gas'n'sip nearby and searched the shelves for something cheap to eat. I found a large bag of veggie chips that were on sale and purchased them. As soon as I had the receipt in hand, I opened the chips eating fast.
"Dude, chill. They aren't going anywhere." The boy behind the counter commented. I nodded to him and exited. It was only two in the after noon so I continued on with my journey trying to pass through as many towns as I could before it got dark. My feet hurt, I was hungry still and my heart was heavy but the thought of Dean and our near kiss pushed me on. A few times, people would stop at the side of the road and offer a ride. I gratefully accepted. It was starting to get dark and I could see the glow of a town in the distance.

A half hour later I stood at the edge of town not sure how to get to Dean's. I started to wander until the area became familiar. A gigantic sign towered in the air telling the time. 9:27. I found the road Harvelle's Roadhouse was on and made my way to Dean's from there.
I stood on the door step about to knock when I heard laughs from inside. I waited to see what I could hear. Dean laughed followed by a more feminine voice.
"I'm sorry but you need to get out of here before my brother gets home!" I heard through the door. A second later, the door swung open hitting me I the face. I heard a women scream before passing out.

I woke up in a bed with something on my forehead and something in my nose. With out getting up, I looked around at what I could. I was laying in the guest bedroom. On the nightstand there was a note saying "aspirin" and a glass of water next to it. I slowly sat up and grabbed the little pills swallowing all of them at once. My head hurt like crazy. A washcloth fell off of my forehead. It was warm and wet. Swinging my feet over the side of the bed, I slowly stood up allowing the dizziness to go away. I entered the living room and found Dean and Sam on the couch. Beer bottles scattered around Dean. I coughed getting their attention.
"Cas! You're up! Are you okay? Does anything hurt?" Dean stood up coming towards me.
"My head."
"I put aspirin on the nightstand."
"I know. Thanks."
"Hey, Lisa is so sorry she hit you like that, but what were you doing standing so close to the door and not coming in?"
"I heard voices and I didn't want to disturb. Who's Lisa?" My voice cracked halfway through. I felt like crying.
"Uh, hey you need to lay down. I'll take you to the bedroom. Come on." Dean turned me around and left Sam standing in the living room.
"Who is Lisa?" I choked out again.
"I don't know exactly. I met her at a bar today and we uh... Did stuff."
My heart shattered into a million pieces when he said that. Dean must have heard it break, because he wrapped his arms around me.
"Don't." I squeaked.
"Cas. I'm sorry. I know we had that moment earlier today. It was amazing. But then, you just disappeared. I thought you ran away, so I went to the bar to blow steam... Where did you go anyways?"
I didn't want to talk. I wanted to lay down and sleep for a million years. I top of that, I was still starving.
"I went to Heaven. I'm human, Dean. I'm not an Angel anymore. Then, Gabriel placed me eight towns over in the middle of a highway."
"Oh my god. You must be starving. Let me make you a sandwich or soup, better yet. Lay down, I'll be right back."
I lied down and waited for my soup. When Dean came back in carrying a tray, he started to laugh.
"What?"
"You've still got tissue up your nose."
I remembered the thing up my nose and pulled it out. Dry blood caked the tip of it.
"You got a pretty bad nose bleed when you got hit. It stopped shortly after but Sam plugged it up just to be sure. Sorry about that."
"No it's fine. Thank you actually."
Dean sat down next to me placing the tray over my lap.
"Are you mad that I uh... Immediately picked up a chick when you left? I mean I was pretty angry at your sudden disappearance, and that's how I coped I guess."
"It hurts a little bit, but I understand."
We sat in silence while I enjoyed the soup. It was clam chowder and it was delicious.
"Cas?"
"Yeah?"
"What's happening between us?"
"I don't know. I've known you for approximately three months now and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have feelings for you. However, I don't understand the feelings. I understand how love for God feels, but this feels different."
"Without making it complicated, like you just did... Cas, before you, I was strictly chicks. Is it getting hot in here. I think it is. I should open a window."
He tried changing the subject but I stopped him.
"The windows can wait."
"I'm not good with chick flick moments. I'm sorry. But uh, back to it I guess... Cas, you've changed my outlook on who I like. You changed it by becoming the person I liked. Like, I really like-like you, and you're not a chick so it kind of blows my mind."
"Would you like it more if I were a women?" I asked.
"I don't know. I don't think so. It's more, about your personality I guess. Your adorable, confused looks are a plus. I don't think it would be the same if you were in another body. And that trench coat. Not a women in this world can pull it off like you do."
I finished my clam chowder with out saying a word. Without thinking about it, I layed my head on Dean's shoulder. In return, Dean placed his head on mine. Soon enough, I was drifting off to sleep.
