The rest of the week went by agonizingly slow. My dad and I barely talked and he spent most of the time drinking. It was definitely going better than I expected. No major fights happened other than the job one. We bickered, and Dad would try to bring up the job. I ignored him. I hadn't heard from Cas at all.
By Wednesday Dad was leaving. Finally.
On Thursday, I came home to an empty house. Sam was with Jess again. I was expecting it so I stopped and picked up fast food. I ate in silence. Soon after, my phone was ringing. It was a rare occurrence so I scurried to find it. The screen showed a new number.
"Hello?"
"Hmm... Yes. Hey. Hello?" I heard.
"Yeah... Who is this?
"It's Castiel. I don't know how to use a cell phone. Am I doing it right?"
I laughed. "Yeah you're doing it right. Why'd you call?"
"I'm not entirely sure. I guess I was just bored."
"Okay. So what do you want me to do about it?"
"I don't know, but not what we did the other night. I did not feel well afterwards."
"Ha yeah. We can do that. I'll be picking you up soon. Where are you?"
"Okay. I'm in my motel room. I don't know the name. It's walking distance to Harvelle's."
"Okay well then, go there and I'll pick you up."
"Okay."
I hung up and grabbed my keys.
'Why am I going to pick up this random guy who I met not even a week ago?' I thought to myself. I couldn't even picture anything but a trench coat and black hair no never really looked at him. The drive to Harvelle's seemed to take forever. When I pulled up I saw him sitting on the bench outside. I honked. He got up and came to the car. He stood next to car with a look. He seemed like he didn't know what to do or how to get in.
"Pull the handle." I yelled.
Eventually we got him in the car.
"Dude, how do you not know how to get in a car?"
"I've never used one. I've never had to. My powers allowed me to transport wherever I want with in seconds."
'Right the Angel thing.' I thought. It was hard to wrap my head around this. He was a fricking Angel. Or, used to be.
Before pulling out I looked at Castiel. I looked at him for the first time. He had slight stubble. His jaw was very defined. Just barely, I could see the most vibrant color blue ever. I felt like I could swim in them forever. He turned to look at me and I kept looking into his eyes.
"Dean. Dean. We can now." He said trying to get my attention.
"Oh yeah."
