I layed in my bed thinking back to my less than "manly" display at Harvelle's last night.
I sat down in the corner of the place like usual. I watched the television in front of me when a Victoria's Secret commercial came on. I didn't understand what it was advertising, but I did notice the wings. Seeing the fake wings was enough to make me cry about my now crappy life.
I decided I couldn't dwell on it and went into the bathroom.I had no plans today just like every other day. I put on my trench coat and decided to walk around town a little bit. Soon I was joined by Gabriel. He startled me a little when he just popped up.
"Hey Castiel. How's life as a human?" He smiled at me mockingly.
I grunted and continued to walk.
"Okay well then... So as I told you last time I visited, heaven needs help. You said no, I know, I know. I also know the reason why... And well, I went up to the top and got a bit of a new deal for you." He tried explaining.
"No. My answer is no."
"Oh come on, you didn't even hear me out!"
"Fine, do tell."
"Well. What if you got your grace back just for the duration of your help? Then you can go back to your stinky human life. Kay?"
I walked silently thinking about.
"No. I do want my grace back but I'm sick of following blindly. I'm also scared that if I said yes, I would never return. And right now, I can't have that, and you don't want that." I tried using the last sentence as a threat but I don't think it worked.
"Why not?"
"Because." And with that, Gabriel was gone and a piece of paper manifested into the palm of my hand. All it said was 'Think about it' I read it once and it dissolved into thin air.
