Dean took me bowling. It was a very hard concept to grasp. Dean was very good at it. We enjoyed a couple beers, but didn't stay long. Teenagers started to show up later. We headed out and decided on Harvelle's. On the way there Dean started talking.
"So, the whole Angel thing? I didn't know those existed. I knew about the other things. The evil things roaming our world."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yes, and I've hunted a few before. I always thought there was just evil roaming the world without any good to help us. Everywhere I looked there was evil. Why didn't you guys help us?"
"We did but, we did it in secret. Very few people know of our presence on earth. The evil things. They know. It's easy to tell for them. Just like it's easy for us to tell that they're there. We don't worry ourselves to much about exterminating. We know hunters are able to take care of it. If anything gets out of hand is when we interfere."
"Why don't you help us? Why is there evil in the world?"
"Well, Lucifer, one of my brothers..."
"Yeah, yeah, I know the story. But why can't you stop him?"
"I don't know."
"Oh"
We sat in silence driving to Harvelle's. I remembered when we first bumped into each other. I thought he was beautiful. His eyes. I swore I had seen his big, bright, green eyes before. They were so familiar and comforting. I could have swore.
