*sorry if all my updates are getting annoying, I got snowed in and there's nothing else to do. And did ya notice the new cover? And OMG GUYS I WOKE UP WITH 217 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!*
We landed with a loud thump. It was pitch black for a few seconds then, a soft glow enveloped the room. As my eyes adjusted a noticed a hallway off to my left. I went to take a step and realized the the Doctor was still holding me. He doesn't even realize he still has me, he's looking around too much. I cleared my throat loudly enough to make him jump. His head snapped towards me and I looked down at his arm, which was around my back. He let go quickly, his face turning slightly pink.
"Sorry..." He mumbled. After noticing the hallway, he brought out his sonic and scanned the whole area. Suddenly, a doorway appeared in one of the walls. A huge grin lit up his face, making me smile back uncontrollably.
"There's always a secret door!" He practically shouted and ran through the doorway. I tried to catch up but, new body.
"Why are we running?!" I yelled to him.
"Because I always run!" He glanced back at me and chuckled. "Plus, I wanted to see you run in your new body!" I realized that at first I really had had a hard time running, but now, it was a lot easier and I hadn't tripped in awhile. I wonder if I could go faster than him? The thought caused me to speed up and I quickly closed the gap between us so we were side by side. He looked down at me while doing this cute confused thing with his eyebrow, causing me to giggle. He looked forward again and I saw the corner of his mouth turn up slightly.
Suddenly, the hallway opened up into a big room and the Doctor put out his arm to stop me. The room was filled people and Cybermen. They were shoving the humans into chamber things, by we were far enough away that I couldn't hear the screams I knew were there. I started to feel a little sick by it went away when I saw the Doctor looking at me worriedly.
"I'm fine it's just... overwhelming, you know?" He nodded then looked gravely at the people being herded.
"The tunnel we used is probably only for the Cybermen, so they didn't expect us. They'll notice us soon- I've got a plan." He concluded. "We need to find a way to transmit this-" he held up the sonic "- to all the Cybermen. It will destroy all the inhibitors, saving the rest of the people." I looked at him, shocked.
"But, won't that kill them? Isn't there any way to save them?" He smiled sadly down at me and shook his head. I nodded.
"Wouldn't that thing over there do it? I mean, its probably what they're using to control them." The only problem was that it was being guarded by around eight Cybermen. The Doctor gave me the sonic.
"I will distract them while you transmit this. Just point, push the button, and think." Then he ran over and disappeared into the herd of people being upgraded. My hearts pounded from fear, I wasn't sure for who, though. All of a sudden all the Cybermen rushed over to where the Doctor was yelling things about them "upgrading the Doctor". My stomach dropped. When all of them were away from the transmitter, I rushed over and pointed the sonic at the machine. After making sure I was pushing the button, I thought. Transmit to all of the Cybermen. Suddenly the sound of the sonic came from everywhere, deafening everything else, but not before I heard the Doctor cry out in pain.
