Night Shift

Meredith's POV:
*alive 2 hours later*

"Babe." I say waking Cormac up. He turns and looks at me with a smile. His eyes barley open. "Hm?" He hums. "Wh-what happened?" I ask. He chuckles a little as he adjusts his hand holding mine. "You got in a car accident." Cormac says brushing my hair out of my face lightly. "No, I know." I say in pain. "You had a pole- a pole going through your body." Cormac says looking at me. I don't say anything I just look at his deep blue eyes. "It hurts." Cormac looks at me making a sad face "I know." He says rubbing his thumb on my hand. "Can i have a hug?" I ask looking at him. "Bailey said if I touch anything but your hand you'll die." Cormac says. I smile as he does "Bailey wasn't being serious. She wanted to scare you." I reply.  I am in pain. Everything hurts and all I want is Cormac. I want him to hold me, cuddle with me, kiss me. I want him. "If I get in trouble for this... I- I-" he says looking at me "just hug me babe." I interrupted him. He doesn't move or talk. He just looks at me as I make a pouty face. "You're killing me babe." He says as he tucks my hair behind my ear. I bat my eyes at him as he turns the other way. "Babe!" He yells but in a whisper tone which makes me smile. "Mm?" I reply knowing it would drive him crazy. He turns his head to look back at me. "What time is it?" He asks reaching for his phone. "Meredith it's two in the morning. You need to get some sleep." He continues

"hug and kiss first then I'll go back to sleep." I say as Bailey walks in to check my vital signs again. They usually send in a nurse to do that but Bailey said she wanted to be the one doing my stuff. "No! He is not allowed to kiss or hug you." Bailey whispers. I look at her as she walks to the side of my bed that Cormac wasn't on. "And he's right you need sleep or you'll be here for ever. Mer the you need sleep to heal." She continues "I just want to kiss and hug my boyfriend." I reply. Bailey sighs "one kiss and one hug then back to sleep! Got it?" She replies. I smile and nod. "Let me finish this first." She continues to press buttons on my iv machine. "Your boy is asleep." Bailey whispers tilting her head towards Cormac. "I know." I whisper.

Cormac's POV:

"No im not." I say with my eyes closed. "I'd love to be but I'm not." I continue moving my head so it's facing them keeping my eyes closed. "Babe you don't have to stay with me. You can go home." Meredith says soft. Bailey chuckles knowing that what she was saying was complete bullshit. "Mer I'm not leaving." I say. "Okay, I'm good for now. One kiss, one hug and to bed. Got it?" Bailey says continuing to stay quiet. "Mhm." I say keeping my eyes closed. Bailey walks out of the room. "Babe..." Meredith whispers. "Hm?" I hum. "I-I- Never mind." She says. I open my eyes making a confused face she just looks at me. I lean over the edge of the chair I'm in putting my hand on her cheek leaning into her as my lips lock with hers. My tongue enters her mouth slowly making her moan lightly. I pull away from her resting my head on her forehead keeping my hand in her face.

"You we're going to say it." I say pulling completely away from her.
"Say what?" She replies. I knew she knew what I was talking about. She feels it and so do I but we are both scared. I lightly laugh "you know what." I reply. The room is dark the only light is behind me from the hall lights peeking through the blinds. "That you're amazing? I was going to say you're amazing and I wouldn't ever want anything more. Thanks for staying with me babe." She says. I shake my head and lean over to her to kiss her again as the door opens "I said one kiss." Bailey whisper yells tapping her foot on the ground. Meredith and I are close out lips barely touching as I look in her eyes. "Baciami."Meredith whispers. Our lips lock again as Bailey yells making us both smile. My lips open on Merediths I slip my tongue into her mouth making her gasp as she closes her lips around mine. "Get your tongue out of her throat!" Bailey says. I push my tongue deeper in Meredith mouth. A moan escapes her lips as they dance with mine. "Do not make me pull you off of her Hayes" Bailey says walking closer. I lean my head on Merediths shoulder as Bailey walks up next to me. "Enough. You are worse than Joey and his girlfriend." Bailey says. Meredith smiles as I turn my head on her shoulder.

"Thank you for taking the boys." I say looking at Bailey who nods. "Wait, Ben has all four boys?" Meredith asks. "Yeah his sister is at the house so he has some help but it's two in the morning so everyone including you should be sleeping." Bailey answers. "Can he lay with me?" Meredith asks. I smile "if you promise to be careful and sleep." Bailey says it goes quiet for a minute "I don't want to hear from you unless something is wrong until I come back at six, got it?" Bailey continues as she walks out of the room.

*morning*

Meredith's POV:
I wake up at 5;46 the sun was peeking through the blinds. Cormac's head was on my chest and he was laying next to me. I put my hand on the back of his head. "Morning baby." I whisper to Cormac. He doesn't wake up or move. I know is early and he was up late with me so I don't try again. He wraps his arm around me resting it on my stomach, making me gasp in pain. He instantly moves it as Bailey walks in. My eyes are closed and I'm looking up at the ceiling biting my lip so I don't yell at him. "What did you do? Why are you making that 'please don't yell at me' face my kids make?" Bailey asks. Cormac moves his arm again placing it on one of my wounds. "Babe!" I yell pushing him. "That's what you did." Bailey says as I take a deep breath full of pain. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to." He says I nod my head because I couldn't speak. "Meredith I'm sorry." He repeats himself. "Mhm." I say as Bailey snaps globes on her hands. "Mer I'm going to look at your belly now..." she says.

"No. Uh mh. I need a second." I say. Cormac carefully stands up and walks over to the wall facing it. "Okay." I say looking at Bailey. "Cor come here, I'm not mad it just hurt." I say. He shakes his head no. "Come here please." I say again. He turns around wiping a tear off his cheek. "Are you crying?" I ask holding my hand out for him. "You can move?" He asks "you can move your hands and arms?" Bailey says. I nod "y-yeah? Why?" I ask in return. Cormac smiles as he starts to cry again "you got a good one Grey. Cry's just because he saw you in pain." Bailey says walking to the trash to throw away her gloves. "Mm I guess I did." I say placing my hand in Cormac's face wiping a tear off his cheek. "Your incisions look good I'm keeping you here for five more days then you will have pt for... how ever long they say." Bailey says I nod at her. "Thank you Bailey." I reply she smiles. "Grey don't die on us. You know the signs of infection and sepsis. Cormac you know them too." I look at her and nod. "Before you ask-"

Bailey says as Jo walks in the room. "Hey, Mer how you feeling?" She asks. "Not good." I answer grabbing Cormac's hand. "I'm sorry." Jo says walking into the room more. "No sex even when you leave at all of any kind. Right now no kissing hugging touching don't do that eye thing you do to each other." Bailey says his jaw drops. "You're actually dating? I thought that was just a stunt to get deluca to stop flirting with you... i mean I saw you kiss but damn! You guys are like really-" she says Bailey walks out of the room. I look at Cormac not responding to Jo. Cormac's blue eyes lock with my green ones as he rubs his thumb on the back of my hand. He leans close to me kissing me. "Oh my god you two look like a couple who are about to be parents like if Mer was pregnant!" Jo says making both Cormac and I smile with our lips still together. I slip my tongue in his mouth making him gasp a little. He fingers run through my hair as out tongues dance together. A soft moan escapes my lips as Cormac pulls away a he looks around for Jo to see she wasn't in the room any more. "Why'd you stop?" I ask he looks me in the eyes "because it would have gone too far." He says as he looks down at his hands then back up at me "Meredith I- I"

Idk how I feel about this story anymore I think the car crash ruined it and I want to start a new only happy one. Would y'all read?
