Good Never Last's

Cormac's POV:

I look at Meredith as she takes a step away from me. "Liam! Liam wait please-" he slams his door shut in the middle of my sentence. "Cormac..." Meredith says. "What!" I yell turning around. Meredith looks at me raising her eyebrow. "Mer- Meredith I- I'm sorry." I say as Meredith walks up the stairs. "Hey come back." I call to her. She walks into my bedroom and comes back in her clothes from the night before. "Maggie's on her way to pick me up." She says without making eye contact with me. "I'm sorry for snapping at you. I-I was frustrated." I say watching her walk over to the door leaning on the wall beside it. "Mhm." She hums. "Babe." I say. She had her firsts before me but never had one like this.. at least that we talked about. I had an attitude with her and i knew she didn't deserve it. "Hayes." Meredith replies. I look at her as she scrolls on her phone. "Mer." I say obviously sad. "Stop saying my name if you're not going to finish your sentence." Meredith says. I walk over to her standing in front of her. I knew she saw me and wanted to look at me but was trying so hard not to. "I'm sorry. Please stay." I say in a whisper knowing my accent gets deeper. She bites her bottom lip making me get butterflies "Mer... I can see you." I continue to whisper. "Mhm." She hums slowly letting her lip go. I gently place my hand on her cheek tracing her jawline to her chin. I lift her head up with my finger so she's looking at me. Her eyes look sad but caring and almost pleading. "I'm sorry." I say making sure my accent was extremely deep. Meredith doesn't say anything she just looks at me. I take my hand off her face and can tell she wanted it back. Her sage green eyes lock with mine as a car beeps it's horn. "Maggie's here to get me." She says simply. "Meredith." I say firmer "Hayes." She replies matching my tone. "Please." I say placing my hands on my sweatpants pockets. "Thanks for last night." She say turning around grabbing the door knob. "Babe!" I say looking at her. "Cormac you are fine, I am going home. Good bye." Meredith says. I look at her as a lump forms in my throat the thought of me making her upset kills me. She walks over to me placing her hand on my cheek leaning closer to me. She kisses me soft then pulls away placing her head on mine. "Good bye." She repeats herself walking out of my house.

Meredith's POV:

"What happened?" Maggie says the second I step in the car. "His kids saw us kiss... then he yelled at me like I was a child." I reply looking at her. Maggie takes her eyes off the road for a split moment looking at me then back at the road "Meredith... remember when Andrew saw Zola that night after you guys hung out in your room?" Maggie asks me. I hesitate to answer knowing where she was going with this conversation "Mhm." I reply "remember how you were upset that you didn't talk to the kids first?" She asks. I look at her "yes..." I say "that's Cormac. It's harder for him. His kids remember their mom... Ellis and Bailey don't. They feel like he's cheating." Maggie explains. Maggie was very smart and always saw things from a different perspective than me. "Shit." I say under my breath. "I think you need to talk with him." Maggie says looking at me. "K great can you please keep your eyes on the road I don't particularly want to die today." I say looking at her. "Calm down your not going to die..."

Cormac's POV:

I walk upstairs and stand outside of Liam's room. I go to knock on the door but stop right before I do. I take a deep breathe then knock on the door. "Liam I'm coming in." I say before opening the door. I walk in to see Liam laying on his bed looking at the ceiling. "Liam... I want to talk with you." I say sitting down in his gaming chair. "I don't want to talk to you." Liam replies I sigh. "That's fine but I'm talking to you." I say. I was having this conversation with him weather he liked it or not. "Liam mom died two years ago... When she died she told me it was okay to date other people." I say as Liam turns to look at me. "She told me to go be happy. Lad I love you boys more than anyone. I love mom more than anyone but it's time I start dating again." Liam just looks at me. "You saw Doctor Grey and I, and that confused you maybe you were even mad. It's my fault. I should have talked to you guys and how you felt before I did that. Liam are you okay?" I ask looking him in the eye. He looks at me as a tear rolls down his face. "I miss mom and don't want you to forget her. What if you love Doctor grey more than mom? What if you forget about her?" Liam asks worried. I shake my head no "I will never forget mom. I won't ever love someone more. Liam mom is my one true love you can't replace that, you get second best but you don't get one again. I love you boys and mom way more than anything in the world and I will never replace any of you." I say as Liam nods. "I want you to be happy dad. Just- just don't forget mom." Liam say wiping a tear away from his face. "Okay. I'm sorry about earlier." I say looking at him. "Actually dad I'm sorry because I heard you and Doctor grey and I think I started something... I like her so I'm sorry." Liam says. I smile and stand up walking over to him. "You're fine... you deserved to act like that." I say messing up his hair with my hand."

Meredith's POV:

"Want me to turn around?" Maggie asks looking at me instead of the road again. "No I want you to keep your fucking eye on the road." I reply. She rolls her eyes and turns her head back. "I'll call him later, and see him tomorrow it's fine." I say. Maggie turns her head to look at me "Maggie!" I scream. The sound of car alarms, plastic crunching, people screaming and groaning take up the air. The airbag hits my face as I fly forward.
