Cormac's POV:
Meredith walk's into the kitchen wearing my t-shirt and drying off her hair with a towel. I watch her walk in admiring everything about her... the way she was scrunching her hair, the way my shirt sat perfectly on her, her smile, her eyes, everything. "What?" Meredith asks bitting her bottom lip. I look down at the ground shaking my head as I start to walk to her. I place my hands on her hips looking down at her eyes. "You're beautiful you know that?" She blushes at my comment as my lips lick with hers. A moan escapes her lips as she pulls away "Cormac I just took a shower..." Meredith says looking in my eyes as I smile. "Mhm... you know babe... I could use a-" I get interrupted by the door bell. "Fuck!" I says out loud still holding Meredith close. "Wh-what?" She questions.
"Uh the boys... my sister is- shit." I explain. "I can sneak out the back door if you want... or I-I-" Meredith was trying so hard to be polite but I knew she wanted to stay and I wanted her to stay. "No! No, just uh... you had a long night and didn't want to wake up the kids going home late so you came here." I say making up a fake scenario. Meredith laughs "okay. Don't worry it'll be fine." I kiss her once more before running to the door sliding on my feet before I grab the door knob. I open the door to see my sister standing with her arms crossed, Austin in her right and Liam on her left. "Hey guys! How was aunties? Were you good?" I ask as they walk in the house "hi dad." Liam says looking at his phone as he walks up the stairs "hey daddy! Auntie was good." Austin says following his brother. "Were they good?" I ask looking at my sister as Meredith walks up next to me. "Mhm- why don't you have a shirt on and excuse me for being so disrespectful but who is that?" She ask. I look at Mer then back at my sister "I never wear a shirt unless I have to, you know this and she's a... a- Meredith is a good friend why?" I knew my words hurt Meredith to hear, they hurt me to say. "Because she's in you house... it's really early, has your clothes on and wet hair..." my sister explains I sigh. "Hi I'm Meredith, Cormac and I work at grey Sloan together." Mer says holding her hand out for my sister to shake. "I'm Rory, nice to meet you Meredith." My sister says shaking her hand. "Cormac and I had work really late last night, I didn't want to wake up my sisters or kids so I just crashed here." Meredith explains as my sister nods "oh, well text me later Mac." Rory says walking back to her car. I close the door as Meredith wraps her hand around my arm leaning her head on it. "Thank you." I say looking down at her "mhm... when are- do when do you want to tell the kids?" Meredith questions.
Meredith's POV:
I knew Cormac wanted to wait to tell his kids, sister, and family about our relationship. I wanted to wait to tell my kids but I want a little bit of an idea. "I'm not trying to push you... I-I just. I was just wondering." I elaborate. Cormac looks down at me because he is much taller than I am. "Mer... I- not yet. I- soon I think but not yet." He replies. I let go of his arm and move so I'm standing in front of him. "Okay. I don't want to- well. Cormac I- i want to tell my kids I'm seeing someone but I don't have to tell them it's you. You don't have to meet them or anything but I think at least Zola deserves to know..." I say looking in his eyes. He nods "I get that... it's harder with me because my kids are so much older and remember their mom-" Cormac says looking behind me as I turn to see what he's looking at "so if I did take that step with someone I would have to talk to them about it. Their feeling, what they need, want, think. It would be a whole thing you know?" Cormac explains in a hypothetical way because Austin was standing next to me. "I get that. What you do affects them." I reply.
Austin is just standing next to me with his hands in the pocket of his deep purple sweatshirt. "What's up lad?" Cormac asks looking at him. "Dad... who's that?" Austin asks I smile. "This is Meredith, you can call her doctor grey. I work with her." Cormac replies. He was adorable with kids even though his kids are older. "Hi Doctor Grey!" Austin says looking at me "hi Austin." I respond. "She knows my name." Austin whispers to Cormac. I laugh and kneel down so I'm eye level with him. "I do know your name, I know your brothers name too. Dad tells me about you." I say. Austin looks at me confused but almost excited. "Are you and daddy going to kiss?" I look at Cormac who is leaning against the wall with his arms crossed watching me then back at Austin "no buddy, daddy and I are just friends. We're not going to kiss but I'll probably hug him." I reply Austin looks at me then steps closer cupping his hands around his mouth as he steps to the side of me by my ear "can you kiss him? I think it would make him happy." He whispers then walks away. I smile as I stand up looking at Cormac who was now leaning on the wall with his hands by his sides. "Just friends huh? No kisses? Okay... I see how it is." He says making me laugh. "Just friends, no kisses, no hugs now." I tease him. "That is not fair." He replies.
"You did it to yourself." I say walking into the kitchen. Cormac walks up behind me wrapping his arms around me to my stomach. "Stai bene con la mia camicia" Cormac whispers in my ear making my breath hitch. He said 'you look good in my shirt' in Italian because he knew if his kids were around they didn't know how to translate. Cormac spins me around so I'm looking at him "Solo nella tua maglietta? non ho sempre un bell'aspetto?" (Just in your shirt? I don't look good all the time?) I ask looking him in the eye. He knew I was teasing him and that I didn't really mean it. Cormac looks around the room before leaning down locking his lips with mine quickly. I bite my bottom lip as he pulls away "okay... I thought we weren't doing that." I say as Cormac pushes me back making my back lightly hit the counter. "Me too but I couldn't wait." He replies. We stand there for a minute just looking at each other "The boys will see babe..." I whisper he sighs and backs up some "I know." He responds I laugh pushing myself up to sit on the counter. Cormac walks to the fridge then to the pantry then back to the fridge before walking to the bottom of the stairs "are you guys hungry?" He yells up to the boys. "Sure!" They yell back which bothers me a little bit because sure is not a response to his question but I don't say anything. Cormac walks in stopping in the door way when he sees me on the counter. I giggle as he walks closer "sure isn't an answer to the question I asked." He says looking at me. "I know." I reply. Cormac places his hands on the outsides of my thighs looking at me. I was taller then him now so he has to look up. "This is different." He says. I laugh then look down at him as he tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear "I want to kiss you so bad right now." He says and his hand caresses my cheek. "Do it." I say barley loud enough for him to hear. Cormac goes on his tippy toes to try to reach me as I start to laugh. "Hold on." I say he makes a pouty face "I can't reach you." I hop off the counter "now you can." I reply he smiles as out lips lock together.
Cormac pulls away from the kiss as I lay my head on his shoulder. I look past us to see Liam standing in the doorway of the kitchen "fuck." I say understand my breath. "Dad! Did you just- oh my god!"
