It's been four days since I last saw Meredith she got to go home today but is going to stay at my house.

I can't pick Mer up till twelve because they have to run a few more labs but I have to pick a few things up before I get her so I need to get up and get ready.

(Time jump 4 hours)

Meredith's POV
"Knock knock... I come barring a gift." Cormac says standing in the doorway of my room. I am facing away from him looking out the window at the sunrise. I turn around to see Cormac in dark tighter jeans a t-shirt and new leather jacket, I instantly get butterflies. I bite my bottom lip as he walks over to me holding flowers in his left hand with his right hand in his jacket pocket. "Hey." He says with a smile. I slowly let my lip go "hey." I reply soft. He leans a little closer to me "hai detto che volevi un bacio ..." he whispers (you said you wanted a kiss.) close enough to me I can feel his breath hit my skin sending shockwaves down my spine. It's been days since I've seen Cormac never mind kissed him and I missed it so much. "Mhm." I reply unable to form words. He chuckles as he backs up. "Doctor Grey, that is not how we ask for things." He says teasing me as Jo walks in. I narrow my eyes at him before turning my attention to Jo.

"You can go home or to his house. Bailey says no sex, kissing, hugging, holding anything more than ten pounds, no hugging your kids or letting them jump on you. You cannot drive, run, jump, skip- basically just slowly walk and don't enjoy yourself." Jo says making me smile a little "thank you jo." I reply. "Mhm." She says as Bailey walks in. "Jo-" Bailey and jo start arguing about a patient in the corner of the room. I look back at cormac who was very clearly staring at me.

"hey ... fissare non è gentile." (Hey staring isn't kind) I say as he jumps in the air a little. I raise my eyebrow at him with a seductive smile. Cormac chuckles "si dottore grigio." I look him up and down as he say my name in Italian. I love it when he does that, when he says things in Italian that I can't. He makes it so sexy. "I love it when you do that." I say looking at cormac holding my hands out for him to hold. "Damnit! I was hoping you were saying 'I love you' but you didn't." Jo says as Cormac takes my hands. I smile "no... I didn't." I reply. Cormac smiles at me just looking into my eyes. "Okay... do you love him?" Jo asks. Bailey slaps her arm as I roll my eyes. "What? I need to know." She says. "Jo what you need is to look up what the word need means." I say.

Bailey walks over next to my bed. Cormac is sitting on the edge of it by my thighs which I could tell Bailey was not to fond of. "You can leave but I don't want you home by yourself at all got it?" Bailey says I nod. "Let me see your incision." She continues. I let go of Cormac's hands gripping my shirt and pulling it up. Cormac places one hand in my thigh and the other in the other side of my legs. "Okay. No shower the stitches need to heal more first, no bath, swimming, sex of any kind, you know it all. Driving, jumping, skipping." Bailey says before getting cut off by jo "again I say walk slow and don't enjoy yourself." Jo says as she walks out of the room.

Cormac's POV:
Meredith is sitting next to me in the passengers seat gripping her arm rest. Seeing her in pain hurt me. I look at her the road then her again. "You okay?" I ask concerned. She shakes her head no. "Want me to pull over?" I ask. She doesn't say anything so i take that as a yes. I put my blinker on slowly moving the car to the side of the road. Meredith let's her head hit the head rest as she visibly becomes calmer. I place my hand on her knee for comfort. "The last time-" Meredith gasps in the middle of her sentence and it all hit me, she wasn't hurt. "The last time I was in a car I almost died. This- this is hard." She says with her eyes closed. "Babe... we can wait as long as you need." I say looking at her as she shakes her head. "Go." She replies. I nod which she can't see because her eyes are closed. "D-don't move your hand though. I- I- I need you." She continues I chuckle "can I move it a little? I can't drive if it's on you knee." I protest. Meredith turns her head leaving it on the head rest to look at me. "Yes. Just keep it on me. It makes me feel safe." She responds making me smile. It's nice knowing I'm the reason Meredith grey feels safe. "We're almost home okay?" I say looking at Mer as I pull up to a red light. She nods "mm" she hums in response "did you say home? Did you say were almost home?" She questions I get nervous but happy that she noticed "I did... it's easier than saying to my house" I answer. "It's green." She says changing the subject.
