Secret's Fade Away

Cormac's POV:
I heard Meredith say no to Emily and while that's technically true I don't know if I want it to be.

"Meredith..." I say before walking out of the room. I was late for my surgery but Jo was assisting. "You have a surgery. Go. Bailey will kill you." Meredith says looking at me. I don't move and she can tell I'm hesitant. Meredith walk's over to me pulling further away from everyone. "What's wrong?" She asks messing with my collar and tie. "I-I need to talk to you later." I reply. Meredith looks worried, but beautiful. I gently place my hand on her cheek rubbing my thumb against it. "I love you." I whisper. Meredith smiles "I love you more." She replies. I roll my eyes kissing her "impossible." I say as I pull away. "Bailey's going to kill you." Meredith places her hand on my chest. "I know... it's worth it." Meredith shakes her head pushing me lightly. "Go please."

Meredith's POV:
I walk into the house placing my bag on the ground by the door, sliding my sneakers off and hanging up my keys. "Mommy!" Ellis and Austin yell running over to me. I had a really long day and just want to go to bed. "Hey babies." I say as excited as I can. "Hey mommy." Cormac says walking towards me. "Hi." I reply as he kisses me. "Okay, okay let mommy walk in the door. Go play." Cormac looks at the kids saying this. "Mommy hold me." Austin says. I take a deep breath bending down to pick him up. "Fuck a baby. We have five kids... I don't need anymore." I say walking into the kitchen behind Cormac. He had on grey sweatpants and a t-shirt that shows all his muscles. He was hot and to be honest if there wasn't kids around I would have made a baby right then and there. "Ok" Cormac replies. He said it with almost no emotion, he had no eye contact and didn't seem phased. "I made dinner, Zola, Bailey, and Liam lunch. Ellis and Austin already have clothes out for tomorrow and everyone's rooms are cleaned. Dinner will be ready in five." Cormac says walking to the stove. What the hell is wrong with him? I'm not mad but I'm definitely confused. I put Austin down to play with Ellis.

I walk up behind Cormac wrapping my arms around his waist, laying my head on his back. He sighs lightly. "Thank you." I whisper. "For.." Cormac questions as if he didn't just list everything he did. "Everything... you pretty much took care of my kids and I never asked you to. Thank you." I was starting to get an attitude and Cormac could tell. "Babe... you should expect that from me. We're a... a family now." He replies. I was surprised at what he said. "Cormac..." he turns around hugging me back. "Meredith?" I sink into his hug relaxing at his touch.

Cormac's POV:
Everyone is in bed which means i have time to talk to Meredith.

"Babe." I say as she walks in. I'm sitting on the edge of the bed with my legs hanging off. Meredith sits down on my lap looking at me. I bite my lip "you were very cute holding that baby today." I. Meredith giggles "says you... you should have seen the way you smiled." I tuck Meredith's hair behind her ear. "Kiss me." I whisper Meredith giggles before leaning closer to me her lips brushing up against mine. I sigh practically begging for her. Meredith closes the space between our lips immediately sticking her tongue in my mouth. She moans into my mouth as out tongues twist together. She pulls away "no sex." She says getting off my lap. "Babe- why?" I question. "Not in the mood." She replies walking into the bathroom. What the hell is she talking about?

Meredith's POV:
I know something Cormac doesn't and it's killing me to not tell him. I want to tell everyone but at the same time I want and need to keep it a secret. I know Cormac won't be happy to hear this at first. I have to make sure I'm right... one last time before I talk to him about it.

I walk back into our bedroom in shorts and Cormac's hoodie. I walk over to him obviously upset. He looks at me worried and sighs. "What happened?" He asks. I shake my head unable to form any words. I've been through this before. I know how it feels. I-I just never thought I'd have to do it again. Cormac stands up wrapping his arms around me hugging me. Tears stream down my face as I pull away. I know Cormac is confused but I can't say it. I cannot say the words because if I do I will cry even more.

Me:
Bailey, can I come over or something please?

Bailey:
What's wrong grey?

Me:
I-I just need someone to sit with. I know you hate talking about personal stuff but I need someone.

Bailey:
Come over.

"I-I-I'm going to help Bailey with something. I'll see you at work tomorrow." I say walking downstairs. Cormac doesn't push or question me. "Hey..." he says grabbing my wrist. "I love you, so much Meredith... if I hurt you I'm sorry." He says I look at him faking a smile. "I love you." I reply as my voice cracks. He nods letting go of me.

Bailey's POV:
Meredith has never in her life asked to come to my house. She knows I don't do personal crap. "Ben, Meredith grey is coming over... she said she needs help." I say looking at him as he sits on the couch. He nods "okay. Let me know if you need anything." He replies. I walk back into the kitchen waiting for her.

After ten minutes I hear someone knock on the door. I walk to open it. As I open the door I see Meredith crying. Her face red, hood on, tears running down her face as she stands in the rain. "Grey what happened?" I ask moving to the side so she can come in. She looks at me as she cries harder. "Ba-Bailey."
