SCHOOL (3 DAYS LATER)

For the next few days Soobin hung around with Yeonjun and his friends, slowly getting closer to them. Yeonjun really enjoyed him being around, he wasn't always open to new people but after seeing what the boy had gone through he admired him and began to enjoy his company more each day.
It was now Thursday. Soobin met up with his new friends as they headed to study hall. Study hall only happened twice a week but it's a nice opportunity to talk to each other. Normally teachers wouldn't be present but today Mr Hwang was in the room. That was the first of differences that day.
The atmosphere was different in the room. No one was talking and a few people were missing. The group noticed that instantly they entered the room and took their seats in silence.
"Now I'm not usually here but we have some announcements" Mr Hwang said with a monotone, everyone in the room getting an odd feeling about the whole thing.
"Firstly, all students must remain in this room during study hall, the principal does not want you all wandering around during these times. There is a reason for this" he explained.
It was commonly known that people wandered the halls during this period but now it's become an issue for some reason. It was weird to them. Why twas there a sudden change?
It used to be quite relaxed during a class like this but now it seemed tense and strict.
"Honestly that's quite important. Don't leave this room when you're not supposed to..." Mr Hwang trailed off. The air in the room thickened, everyone was on edge anticipating what would come next.
"Fellow classmates, Kang Hyejin and Kim Hyunsoo, died on Monday evening on school grounds," he said looking at the empty desk where they would have sat.
Soobin was panicked, it normally would have gone unnoticed for a while longer but it didn't worry him too much. He knew that no one he needed to worry about would know. He twiddled his soft blue hair to calm himself as the teacher continued.
Murmurs flew through the room but were soon silenced by Mr Hwang.
"The cause is unknown, just be wary, it's the first school death we've had in a while so don't worry too much" he said, closing his notebook. "Please continue the lesson as before," Mr Hwang instructed before anyone could say a word, clearly the school didn't want to be asked questions about any of this.
So many deaths had happened before and every time no results or blame came from it. It wasn't because the school wasn't trying, no definitely not, Soobin was just always one step ahead.
He left the room in complete silence but soon enough everyone was engrossed in conversation. Soobin wasn't nervous anymore, he had gone away with it many times before.
"Idiots" Soobin muttered under his breath as he approached his friends as the classroom seemed to come alive again, his assigned seat still much behind them.
"What was that Binnie?" Kai asked in a cute voice.
Now Soobin was panicking. A nickname and being asked what he just said. There was no way in hell he would tell them what he said so he sat down silently with a blank expression plastered on his face.
"If you're worrying about the deaths, don't, we're here for you" Taehyun said comforting Soobin.
Little did Taehyun know the mentions of the deaths didn't bring comfort to Soobin at all. It bought more stress. Yeonjun noticed Soobin's immediate distress at the mention and quickly changed the conversation. "Let's not talk about that, it isn't particularly a nice topic" he said before softening his serious tone and expression to smile at Soobin warmly, his soft brown eyes glossy.
'That could have gone very wrong' Soobin thought. It felt like he was being eaten alive by his thoughts but it didn't last long. He had already gotten away with it.
TIME SKIP- LUNCHTIME
Finally it was lunchtime at BH Highschool. The group of boys were sitting in the cafeteria, eating peacefully as they spoke to each other about almost anything they could think of.
The room was a sea of people talking and eating, practically everyone on campus was there afterall. The quiet kids sat alone doing schoolwork while groups of girls were gossiping and applying excessive amounts of makeup. The talk of the two dead girls fired around the cafeteria like a cold in the winter. People were scared for sure but not worrying because no two school deaths happened anywhere near each other.
The boys' conversations were small and varied in topics but it never crossed the two dead girls. It didn't bother them much. Soobin, the murderer himself, was also unbothered. It clearly disinterested them all. Being friends with them also lowered the chances of him getting caught.
No one would dare accuse one of Yeonjun's friends, no one would think he would befriend a murderer with him being one of the kindest people around. Well he had befriended the murderer, but he doesn't know that he has.
"How was dance Kai?" Soobin asked as he chewed on his straw.
"Normally it would be alright but Mr Yeonjun over here decided for us to do a sexy duo instead of contemporary. I should have chosen another partner while I could" Kai whined, hitting Yeonjun on the arm.
"Last I checked you secretly liked it Kai" Taehyun accused earning a light smack on the head from the youngest.
"This is the bitch we call the diamond maknae. Keep your hands to yourself" Taehyun said, pushing Kai's hands away in slight annoyance.
"Ya Taehyun" Kai yelled in frustration.
"It's hyung for you little one" Beomgyu teased, brushing his smooth brown hair out of his eyes.
The group wasn't strict with honorifics but if it could be used to tease another as it was always funny. Kai laughed at his hyungs sarcastically before going back to eating, tearing up his bread violently making the others stare lovingly at their feisty maknae.
'So this is what friendship is' Soobin thought.
It was nice to have found a friend but Soobin still wasn't satisfied. He wanted Yeonjun for himself. He didn't need the three extra people of Taehyun, Beomgyu and Kai on the side.
It was frustrating but satisfactory...

And thats another chapter posted! There is more plot development soon I just wanted to write a little fun scene of them all together so you could see the dynamics of their friendship.
