AUTHOR POV
Beomgyu and Soobin returned from the bathroom, Taehyun quickly locked eyes with Beomgyu and shook his head harshly.
Beomgyu looked confused but something had definitely spooked him.
"Oh Yeonjun" Soobin smiled as he took out his ringing phone.
"You guys wanna hear?" Soobin asked.
None of the trio showed an answer but Soobin proceeded to answer, placing the phone on speaker.
"Hi Junnie," Soobin said, a large smile on his face.
It was a genuine smile and the three boys could see that. It curled up at the corners and squinted his eyes. It was weird that only Yeonjun could get him to smile like that.
"Soobin, you okay?" Yeonjun asked, his voice crackling through the speaker.
"All good here, how was your father?" Soobin asked, twiddling his hair like a little highschool girl.
"We're both fine, he told me I shouldn't have gone back because he was fine but it was nice to see him. I'm actually outside the door, are you guys not in?" Yeonjun said.
"Oh, we're in the garden. We'll come through now" Soobin said, skipping inside happily, leaving the others outside.
They all stood up and exchanged a look of confusion.
"We gotta go," Beomgyu whispered.
"We know," Taehyun whispered back.
"How do you know?" Beomgyu asked, suddenly confused.
"That's a story for when we get home" Kai said, quickly gesturing for them to go inside.
Slowly but surely the three came into the house, walking towards the door to see Yeonjun and Soobin smiling as they talked.
"Sorry to interrupt, we have to leave" Taehun said, just wanting to leave.
"That's a shame, thanks for being here with Soobin for me, i'll catch up with you in school tomorrow" Yeonjun smiled, his dimples poking through.
Taehyun nodded and stepped closer to Yeonjun, shooting him a questionable glare before looking away.
Yeonjun looked at him in confusion and cocked his head. Taehyun looked up and mouthed the words 'be careful'.
Yeonjun looked confused. He didn't think there was a reason to be careful. Perhaps he misread his lips.
Soobin took no notice of the interaction, clearly too caught up in his head as he smiled from cheek to cheek.
The trio got their shoes on and were just about to leave when Soobin stopped them.
"Beomgyu, Kai, Taehyun!" Soobin called, a sickly smile on his face.
The three turned around, their muscles tense.
"Thank you for being with me! I loved it" Soobin smiled as his arm rested on Yeonjun's shoulder.
Fake
It was obvious Soobin evidently didn't love them being there and he was lying. Yeonjun wouldn't have known this but the three boys that had been stuck at his side all day definitely recognised the blatant lie.
"Aha, no problem" Beomgyu said before ushering them all out of the house and down the drive and away from the house.
At TaeGyuKai's house
The three swear they had never left a place faster.
As they flopped down in their room the three didn't even feel as if they could rest. All their minds were running at lightning speed over and over again with their different observations.
