AUTHOR POV
Soobin stirred the next morning to find Yeonjun no longer by his side. He was initially confused but when he heard noises from downstairs he realised he was probably just doing something.
Slowly but surely, Soobin made his way downstairs, his body aching slightly with every move. And there he was, Yeonjun in the living room, pacing around rather quickly.
"Hyung?" Soobin asked sleepily, sitting on the sofa. Yeonjun turned around, he looked as if he had been caught doing something.
"Why'd you get up so early? You must be sore" Yeonjun asked, turning around and placing a glass of water and some painkillers in front of Soobin.
"Not sure" Soobin replied, drinking down the medication he was giving as soon as he could.
Yeonjun looked stressed.
"Is everything okay?" Soobin asked, confused by the change in mood.
"Yeah, I'm just worrying, I was in the hospital with my father yesterday so of course it was a bit of a shock," Yeonjun explained, his face easing as he did so.
"Wait really? I'm so sorry" Soobin apologised, feeling 'bad' for what happened.
In the end he didn't want Yeonjun to care for anyone other than him so it doesn't really matter what happened to anyone around him.
"Don't apologise Soobin" Yeonjun assured, sitting down beside him, laying his head on Soobin's marked chest.
"I just worry when I don't have to, thanks for being here with me" Yeonjun said gratefully with a smile on his face.
"You're so cute" Soobin blurted, fiddling with Yeonjun's pink hair.
"Ya" Yeonjun exclaimed, clearly embarrassed.
Soobin laughed a little before shutting down again just like the night before.
He would experience a nice time, a joke or something and then his mood would fall as he began to think. It was as if he was no longer built for happiness.
"Did you visit your dad for long?" Soobin asked.
"Only a little," Yeonjun replied honestly. He really wasn't there for long.
"Go and visit him today Junnie" Soobin said, hoping Yeonjun would take his idea so he could deal with himself.
"Hmmm I don't know," Yeonjun pondered. His parents wanted him to leave yesterday to go and see Soobin but he couldn't help but feel slightly bad.
"I can tell you feel bad for not staying longer, I see that look in your eyes" Soobin remarked, really trying to be convincing.
"What will you do all day then?" Yeonjun asked, clearly half going with the idea.
"I can see Beomgyu, Taehyun and Kai" Soobin responded, not really knowing if he would. It might help him too but of course he would do things other than that.
"Hmmm and you're okay with me going?" Yeonjun asked. "Of course I am, go and see your dad" Soobin assured.
"I really do love you Soobin" Yeonjun smiled as he left a kiss on Soobin's temple. "You really do understand me," Yeonjun added before leaving the room to get himself together.
Soobin sat back into the sofa, his face fallen completely blank.
He didn't know why his mood kept crashing. Nothing could exactly explain it but he knew how to make it better, he just had to wait for Yeonjun to leave.
It took about 15 minutes for Yeonjun to come back downstairs. His hair was neatly brushed and face flawless as per usual.
"And you're sure you're fine?" Yeonjun asked as he stood in the doorway ready to leave.
