KAI AND TAEHYUN'S HOUSE

They got back to Kai and Taehyun's house decently fast, remaining silent the whole time. They were now sitting in the living room huddled near each other between blankets and pillows to warm up from the frosty winter outside.
Soobin was still on edge and irritated by the attack made on him and the others knew it. They could sense it.
"That was quite something Soobin," Kai stated, admiring his confidence in standing up for himself.
It's true that none of the group thought he would be mean but from the view of the students it was obvious that Soobin was picked on a lot, that's why they can understand why it riled him up so easily. They can't say they completely understand him, they were far from truly understanding but as his friends could see why he acted that way.
"I've never done anything like that before" Soobin replied, shying down.
Now that was what they expected to hear.
"He deserved to get yelled at so I wouldn't feel guilty or anything," Beomgyu said comforting Soobin in a soft tone.
"You know I've never seen something quite like that, and accusing you as a murderer, he's got some guts" Yeonjun said with slight anger in his tone that the others picked up on immediately.
"Hyung, why are you angry?" Soobin asked, worriedly.
Did Yeonjun figure out that he was the murderer that fast?
"I said that I wouldn't let anything like that happen again but it did, right in front of my eyes at that'' Yeonjun's voice started to break down, his eyes filled with guilt. "You still get hurt and it's not fair. I'm so sorr-" Yeonjun was cut off by a hug from Soobin.
He melted into the hug with his small tears dripping from his eyes leaving little wet spots on Soobin's shirt.
"Don't don't even try apologising, he was hard to deal with on the spot" Soobin assured the older as he ran his hand over the boy's head.
Soobin could hear his quiet sobs as he held the boy close to him. Yeonjun wrapped his arms around Soobin tightly as if he were to never let go, making Soobin's heart rate increase the closer he got.
Soobin had never had a friend. He never knew the feeling of affection, it didn't make him feel anything though. The only thing making Soobin feel happy was Yeonjun getting closer and closer with every passing day.
Why did Yeonjun feel so bad?
Soobin didn't quite understand. Soobin himself had never felt guilt or apologetic so Yeonjun's reaction was unknown to him.
That kid was an easy talk to Soobin. Of course Yeonjun wouldn't know that though.
Then it dawned on him. 'They don't know that I'm the murderer, they don't know what I've done, they don't know that everything that boy said was true' he thought, finally coming to a conclusion. It relieved him that they were clueless and hoped it would stay that way. Forever. Or at least in Yeonjun's situation.
The other three
"K-drama night?" Kai asked, he had always had a short attention span like the one of a child. The boys let out a light laugh at the younger's antics, he was always a good mood lifter.
"Why not, I've got nothing to do," Soobin said with a soft smile. They all agreed to a night of watching dramas together and proceeded to the kitchen to grab snacks before sinking into a long evening.
Finally the outro for the final episode of 'True Beauty' played. (Pretend that the series is shorter so they can watch it in one night)
"How could she just leave him like that?!" Kai cried at the TV in distress.
"Woah there Hyukai calm thyself" Taehyun said, giving Kai a strong stare.
"Just because you were a team Suho doesn't mean tha-'' Kai trailed off when he saw everyone watching them.
"Ok you little weirdos enough of that. What time is it by the way?" Beomgyu asked. They had been watching the drama for quite a while and didn't pay attention nor realise the time. They were so engrossed in what was happening that they simply lost track of time.
"11:30" Soobin read from his phone.
"We started this at 4. HOW THE FUCK IS IT 11:30?!" Kai laughed at their own stupidity.
"At Least it's Friday tomorrow," Soobin added, implying that they wouldn't get much sleep.
"Sleepover?" Yeonjun asked. He was completely shattered.
"Sure, let's do that, I'll go and get you guys some pyjamas," Kai said, skipping out of the room happily.
"Why is he so awake?" Taehyun asked grumpily.
"The devil himself is tired then?" Yeonjun laughed, referring to Tae.
"And the devil himself will end you," Taehyun said, pouncing on Yeonjun as he tickled him mercilessly, making Yeonjun squirm under him as he laughed. Beomgyu looked at Soobin, clearly concerned before laughing at the pair rolling around on the floor. '
"What have I walked in on?!" Kai asked, witnessing everything.
"Uhhh," Soobin laughed.
"I ended Yeonjun's shit" Taehyun said proudly holding Yeonjun to the floor.
'This is what friendship should be?' Soobin thought as he watched the pair tease and laugh together. It really was just an outside concept to him. He didn't see the need for any of it.
