After that exhausting mission, I was about to go to the hideout when my phone lighted up. Nakalagay iyon sa headboard kaya napansin ko agad. There was a chat message.

I parked my car in front of an establishment. Even though driving is a child's play for me, I'm too exhausted to multi-task.

Mina~
Don't go to the hideout. Sa SH ka dumeretso. I'll be waiting.

I sighed. I don't usually follow orders from people, I am the one giving it to them. But Mina is different.

Let's just say that there is something in her that makes me obey what she commands. Hindi sa may gusto ako sa kaniya, pero parang ganoon na din.

Ginawa ko nga ang sinabi niya. I drove to Simmons Hospital. Nakita ko si Mina na malapit sa entrance ng ospital. I parked my car and walked to her.

"What's the problem?" tanong ko.

"'Wag ka nang magtanong at sumama ka nalang," she answered. Tumalikod na siya at pumasok sa ospital.

Mukhang alam ko na ang gusto niyang mangyari. Nagpatay-malisya nalang ako dahil wala din naman akong magagawa. She would insist it, anyways.

Pumasok kami sa isang room. It's a room for confined patients. Wait, maybe this is too much?

"What are you planning to do?" I asked though I know the answer.

"I saw how that irritating girl fought you," she answered. Halata nga ang iritasyon sa mukha niya. "You have been thrown to a window, which is not a normal scene to see. Kailangan patingnan natin ang katawan mo, baka may internal injuries kang natamo."

"I'm fine," giit ko. I'm not the type to go to hospitals just to be checked up. "Sanay na ako–"

"Sanay ka pero ako hindi," she wears a very serious face. "Whether you will let the doctor check you up or I'll hate you."

I smirked. "Your hatred towards me could disappear. But my pride wouldn't be the same if a doctor would check me up."

"Don't you know that pride is one of the seven deadly sins?" nagsalubong na ang kilay niya. Not a good sign for sure. "Bakit ba big deal sa 'yo ang pagpapacheck-up?"

"Because I'm Zero," simpleng tugon ko. "I don't need doctors to check me up. I'm the Ghost Alpha, no one can inflict serious injury to me."

"'Wag ka nang magyabang at sumunod ka nalang," may pagbabanta na sa tono niya. "Kung hindi ka susunod, hindi mo magugustuhan kung ano ang gagawin ko."

"I'm supposed to be the one giving command, not the one to be ordered around."

Hindi na niya pinansin ang sinabi ko dahil bumukas ang pinto ng kwarto. There I saw a familiar man wearing a white coat and a stethoscope hanging from his shoulders.

"Hello, Mr. Hermes," bati niya. "Long time no see. How's my son?"

"He's fine, Dr. Mel," I answered politely. "Too serious as usual."

Dr. Mel chuckled. "That's a given." he smiled before putting his stethoscope to his ears.

Meet Dr. Mello Simmons, the father of Marsh Simmons. He's the head doctor at the same time the CEO of Simmons Hospital. Unlike Marsh, Dr. Mel is the jolly type of person. He's friendly to the people around him. He preferred to be called Dr. Mel instead of Dr. Simmons or Dr. Mello. Mas nakakabata daw kasi kung ganoon. Although he's just in his early 30s.

When I met their family, I thought Marsh would be a doctor to follow his father's steps. But I was wrong. Ayaw niyang mag-doktor dahil ayaw niyang humawak ng buhay ng isang tao.
