'Liiii, wait up!!!'

The figure who had been called 'Li' flinched before continuing to walk away from the road and through the gates of a beautiful and grand school. Upon closer observation, the small 5'4 figure was a girl of small stature with thin, black hair up to her waist and skin like milk. Her side bangs covered her eyes but she didn't mind as she walked through the front doors, eyes closed and earbuds in.

'WAITTTEUU!' came a much louder scream from the same voice.

This time, the small girl had heard it. She turned around to meet the eyes of a pretty Korean girl. Standing at 5'6, this girl has a head full of nicely bleached hair with her roots slightly showing. With large sparkly eyes and a perfect nose, she was the perfect picture of a girl.

'Why did you leave so early~~~?' whined the stunning girl, who was currently the center of attention, causing a blockage in the hallways.

I was late. The hell you mean early?

The girl pouted.

'Ok, Ok! Aish, you should've at least called me when you left! I ran around our neighborhood trying to find you and now I smell Mrs Suzumeda's cat!' she confessed before ranting about something or the other.

The smaller figure raised her eyebrow.

I did. I left you a note.

But, judging from the amount of sweat on the blonde's forehead, it indicated anything otherwise. The girl with hair the colour of the night pulled out a napkin and tucked it into the pocket of the girl's blazer before proceeding to walk to her homeroom on the second level.

It's ice-cold outside. How did that idiot even manage to work up a sweat?

When the distracted blonde finally noticed her friend's disappearance, she had ran off towards their shared homeroom where they both sat down in their typical seats. Li had walked to the chair next to the window in the second furthest row from the back and set down her bag. The Korean girl had followed suite and took the seat behind the girl, the furthest seat in the back row.

Of course she sat there.

After dropping her bag onto her desk, she marched up to the other girl's desk and slammed her hands down.

'Uwaee?!? Arghhhhh' the girl whined before making a bunch of inhumane noises that turned heads from some of her classmates.

The raven-haired lifted her eyes to meet those light brown orbs of the pretty Korean girl. Now that the girl wasn't staring downwards, you could finally make out the features of this girl. Li had large black eyes the colour of her hair along with a small button nose. Although she didn't mean for her stare to appear how they appear, the Korean definitely backed down and started looking sadder.

Does she want me to apologise?

But upon looking at Li's small, delicate face, the blonde turned around and stuck out her lip.

Do you want me to apologise?

Taking in a deep breath, the girl took out her earbuds and brushed her slightly wavy side bangs out of her face.

'Soo-ah. I'm sorry'

At this rare but familiar sound, the taller girl 'Soo-ah' turned her head back to her.

'Wait, really?'

'Come on!!! I can tell just from looking at you that you did not mean that!'

Taking in another breath, Li tilted her head to ease the pain in her neck from looking up from her desk to meet the gaze of the Korean.

Well, I did leave a note.

'I though we were friends! You have no idea how hurt I am' the girl stomped her foot in anger.

Taking in what is now her third breath, Li mustered up a different stare. The left side of her lips were a little scrunched as she opened up her eyes to glare at her.

Technically, it's not my fault.

Soo-ah, just noticing the glare, took a few steps backwards, banging into another girl seated in front of Li.

'Aish, I'm sorry! I should've been more responsible and woke up earlier' the blondie apologised.

If you were going to apologise, why did I do it as well? It would've saved me a lot of breath.

'Liii-ahhh' she dragged herself back towards me and slopped on my desk, whining.

That's not my name.

She narrowed her eyes at me.

'LEMME LIVE, OK?!?' she exasperated.

What? Ok.

*Li's POV*

I put my earbuds back in as I turn my head back to her crossed arms and rest my head onto of our school's uncomfortable blazers. I could sense the heat coming from Soo-ah as she ranted about something. I don't really care what she's talking about but I'm not going to tell her that. She'll just whine and pout and scream and act like the 3-year-old child she is.

I close my eyes and sighed.

Let's just get this over with.

*Soo-ah's POV*

'You're ignoring me again!' I yelled at her, fuming. I could sense a few people looking at us but they're irrelevant.

'Are you just going to ignore me forever?!?'

I kneel down so that I'm eye level with her.

'Oh' I thought. 'She's sleeping with earbuds. Li-ah, you're going to get a headache'

I stand up to grab Li-ah's bag which contained her phone. The song she was listening to was currently 'Safe Dream' by Tep No and Heather Janssen.

I could feel a smile as I read the label on her playlist make its way to my sweaty face.

'Soo-ah's Playlist <3'

I place her phone back into her bag and I take out the earbuds out of her pockets and take the other pair which she left. She always gave me the right.

I place the earbud into my right ear and I could hear the familiar lyrics of the song that we played two years ago, when I made this playlist.

I walk back to my seat where I sat down and arched my back to lay my chin into my arms, much like Li-ah. Feeling an odd lump on my blazer, I pulled out a napkin tucked neatly into my pocket.

I smile again.

I wipe the sweat off my forehead and suddenly, I feel all my energy disperse. I rest my head against my sleeves, much like my best friend but I lay my ear against my arm instead to admire the cold and frosty view outside from our second level homeroom.

'Thanks Li-ah'
