*Annie's POV*
I walk into the gymnasium and immediately I was ambushed by my juniors. I smile at their antics before asking 'Where's Captain and Vice?'
The sea of tall girls parted and revealed Li practicing receives with a familiar junior. Soo-ah was watching the pair as Li instructs the smaller girl.
'You don't often see girls smaller than Li,' I grin stupidly, making my way over to the three.
Soo-ah turned to me and grinned. Li paused before continuing to demonstrate a receiving angle for chest height overhand receives.
She always pauses instead of acknowledging us. I mean, I guess that counts as a greeting.
'Cap, what's today's agenda?'
She turned to me and gave me her usual resting bitch face. I turn to Soo-ah to translate.
She takes a step towards us and quickly elaborates.
'Li said that we don't have an agenda since the third-years regulars have already won nationals and are graduating in 2 days,'
'Oh? Then why are you two here? And I saw the other three on my way in?' I question.
'The two of us are here to help them select a new captain and vice-captain. The Zinovenkos are here because they need to carry out their punishment,'
'Well, that makes a little more sense,'
'Wait, why are you here?' she asks me.
'Me? Oh I just, y'know, kinda missed this place,' I look at the ground sheepishly.
'We were all here yesterday, Annie,' she holds back a small grin.
'I-I know. It's just, we might not even see each other again and we might forget all these memories a-and,' I begin.
'Annie,' came a smooth voice.
I look down, knowing who it's coming from.
'There's nothing to worry about. We're not going to forget each other and we'll always keep in contact,'
I look into my captain's glossy dark eyes. They seemed a little brighter than usual.
'Mhm,' I agreed, not really knowing what to say.
She walks back to the junior she was helping and began fixing her position. I turn back to Soo-ah.
'She's speaking a lot today,' I note.
'Yeah,'
*Wren's POV*
I run into the gymnasium, panting as I reach the heavy doors. I turn to see my sisters do the same.
'Come on. Let's get this over and down with,' My older sister cringed at the thought of the pain.
I winced and I look to my right to see my younger sister doing the same. We enter the room and are engulfed by a crowd of tall, tall, tall people.
I recognize them as our juniors. We smile and wave (lmao anyone get the reference) as we walked through to the second court where the regulars usually practice. We enter the court to see our Captain, setter and wing spiker there already. There was also another girl. What was her name again?
I call over to Soo-ah and Annie who were conversing. 'Heyoo. What are we doing?'
The two turn to the three of us.
'Oh hey, you three idiots. We're just contemplating our futures as grandmas sitting in a diaper,' laughed Soo-ah.
I let out a small giggle before-
