Who Is He?

I turn off the phone, not knowing how I'm supposed to feel. I take my time walking down the stairs trying to make sense.

Li will probably never see me as more than a friend.

But we're the closest we've ever been and I know that there's something special about our relationship.

That doesn't mean anything to her though.

We could just ask her...

And what? Make everything more complicated? I'm supposed to be getting over her.

You should tell her how you feel at least. This Seonhwa guy even bet you to it and he's probably only known her a day.

Li wouldn't follow back a stranger...

Do they know each other?

Who the hell is he anyway?

I push away those thoughts as I see her stretching by the lake. I take a small glance at her legs in her shorts but reminded myself that I'm still an innocent 15 year old girl.

I start stretching as Li does a couple walkovers to smooth out her muscles. After another minute or so, we head to the indoor court rather than the outdoor court.

The indoor court was underground but had the best ventilation and window system that money can buy. Still prefer the outdoor one with the sunset view of the lake.

We start to pull out the ball crates and we start to hold a rally from both sides of the court but it looked like there was something on her mind so instead of sending the ball back tp her, I start setting to myself.

'Li, is there something you want to try?' I ask, still setting the ball to myself. She nods sheepishly.

'When I played against the girl from the national team, she had a strange aura. It wasn't intimidating but it was very open and overwhelming. Almost as if you can't look at her movements directly. Like the sun,'

I nod, taking in this observation of hers.

'So I recreated the movements in my head but I had a lot of trouble trying to judge her viewpoint and I came up with a theory,'
