The next day, I woke up to the beautiful sun shining into my room. It was warm and I felt like I should actually get up. So I do.

I walk over to the window... to close the curtains.

'It's too early to exist,' I mumble to myself. I roll back over in bed, digging into the warmth but I couldn't sleep...

Fuck it.

I walk back to the window, throw open the windows and walk to the kitchen bar, rubbing my eyes. An eyelash falls into my eye so I stand there for a solid minute trying to blink it out. After that, I pull out my bag of snacks from the cupboard and turn around to sit onto the couch but before I even make it to the couch, I bang my knee onto something with a corner and it was sharp.

I hold in a scream so it came out more like a whimper. I hop over to the table and start rubbing my kneecaps. There was a dark purple bruise on my pale skin. I grimace at the color and rip open a bag of shrimp chips trying to avoid the pain.

This is what you call a professional athlete, ladies and gentlemen.

I hear a laugh and I turn to her.

Soo-ah.

*Soo-ah's POV*

I woke up early because my stupid arm was killing me. The pain woke me up just before 1pm so I got up to change the bandages. After watching Li do it, I had a rough idea on how to do it. The only problem was using my non-dominate hand to pull out the stitches on my left shoulder.

I wish I was ambidextrous like Li.

No point thinking like this though.

You're left-handed, Soo-ah. Deal with it.

I groan verbally and bit my lip attempting to control the pain as I pulled the threads out. As an athlete, I'm used to injuries but I'm not good with stitches so I place a few more dermaclips before pulling out another roll of bandages and wrap my wounds tightly.

Maybe a bit tighter than I should've.

I wince at the contact when I rolled the bandages over each other. After I finish wrapping everything up (no pun intended), I pack up and open the door to go wake up Li but she was already awake.

I saw her standing still in the middle of the room, blinking at a scary fast pace. I hold in a laugh, looking at how small she was. She eventually gets the thing out of her eye and she pulls out a packet of chips from the cupboard but before she could sit down, she hit her knee onto a coffee table's corner.

At this point, I couldn't hold it in and start laughing. She looks up at glares at me so I walk over to her. I put my hand on her bruise and start massaging it as she chews her chips violently.

'Clumsy,'

'No, you,'

It was quiet for a couple minutes as we exchanged silent conversation on how she shouldn't be eating snacks first thing in the morning without at least brushing her teeth. Like usual, she ignores my nagging. We debate on what to do today, forgetting about the problems of yesterday.

We eventually agree on toning our bodies so we get changed into more sports gear and freshen up. Li puts on a pair of tights and a long singlet and I put on a pair of sport shorts and a mid-riff sport shirt.

A little exposing but it's not like anyone else was here. We go downstairs after packing a small trendy backpack full of supplies. We walk downstairs and there was a note on the smart fridge.

'上了班。今晚 我不回家了。我不担心你们两个 因为 我知道你们两个很聪明 所以 玩儿的开心。明天见'

(went to work. tonight, im not coming home. im not worried about you two because i know that you're both smart so have fun. see you tomorrow)

I look at the heart she drew and smile to myself but like usual, Li looked confused and for a sad reason. She erases the note on the smart fridge and we head out.

We head out, waving to the security guards. The head officer offers us a ride and we accepted because neither of us wanted to walk 10km on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Well, actually afternoon as we found out.

She drops us off on the Southern side and we exit to the quiet town of Taishan. The two of us wave to everyone and got dragged to conversations everywhere. I missed everyone so much.

I know Li saw them all a few days ago but she looked every bit as happy as I was. She made multiple promises to stop by and teased the children.

So I guess our schedule for the next few weeks will be very crowded.

She smiles. 'Yeah, but I don't mind if you don't' she sends.

Of course not.

After an hour of socializing, we arrive at an inn to which we enter. We rent out a cardio room and enter quickly, stretching before jumping onto the machines and equipment. We do our usual routine.

50 pushups, 50 sit-ups, 20 burpees, 3 minute plank, 15 chin ups, etc.

After that, we go back to stretching. Li pulls her leg back over her head and the two of us pull out a few gymnastic tricks before settling into a split and rolling our neck. I take a glance at her body while she pulls her right arm over her head.

It took us 15 minutes to stretch so we get up to head to the pool. I find myself staring at her as we walked. Li definitely had muscle but it was quite hard to see.

Right after exercising, you had a clear view of her abs and toned limbs. Her shoulders and collarbones were on display and I turned away to hide my face.

For some reason, half an hour after exercising, Li's muscles disappear. You can't see them after half an hour and she looked stick-skinny with smooth limbs and a flat stomach but it was really cute.

Her skin color palette is spread so evenly and her long limbs are so perfect. I felt more and more insecurity as I admired her body.

I wish my body could look as smooth as hers rather than the lumpy crap on me.

Maybe I should just fall in love with my insecurities. That way, they'll leave me too.
