*Li's POV*

We were probably sitting out there for an hour in silence but I didn't mind. Since when have I ever been bothered by the silence?

I let down my senses as the music continues but as soon as 'Our Summer' by TXT finished playing, I feel them go up again. I paused the playlist and turn to my best friend.

'Tell me,'

She sighed before obeying my words.

'When my mother slapped me, I knocked over some antique vase. I went to the hospital and they fixed me, for the most part,' she explains.

'Oh god, she can go to jail for that,'

'I'm counting on it. I took a copy of the incident report and contacted a lawyer,'

'Soo-ah...,'

'No, Li, I don't want your pity or you to think I made the wrong decision, ok?'

The two of us sat there, on the tallest roof of the estate and I place my hand onto her shoulder.

'Soo-ah, I don't pity you nor do I think you're wrong. I think, despite appearing strong-headed, you're very smart and technical when it comes to the things that impact you. I just want to tell you that I'll support you no matter what and I'll always be honest with you,'

She tried to smile back.

'Thanks, Li,'

I give her a smile and squeeze her shoulder a little bit.

'I think I should tell you about the visitors. You're right. I lied to you. Both of us did but I was gonna tell you later,'

'Really?'

'I know that this topic would concern you and that you would find out very soon,'

'And?'

'The people that visited...,' she started.

I motioned for her to go on.

'...Was your father,'

I start nodding, taking this information in.

My father? What the hell is he doing here? He called Grandma like, barely 2 days ago...

'Li, look at me. There's more,'

I look back up at her.

'Your entire family is here. Your sister, your brothers and your mother as well,'

This time I didn't even pause before speaking back. Well... shouting back.

'Those people are not my family,'

There was silence as Soo-ah's eyes widened in the moonlight.

'Li, I saw facial resemblance-,'

'My family is you, Grandma and Grandpa,' I say to her. 'That's all,'

'Li, I know you're upset because you haven't seen them in years but this could be a chance,'

If only she knew.

'Know what? What is it about them that I don't know? What aren't you telling me?'

Forgot she could do that for a sec.

'Soo-ah, this isn't a chance, ok? I know what they're here for and it's not me,'

'Li, you don't know that,'

'But I do,'

'I wish you wouldn't say things like that,

Even though she was behind me and silent, I could hear her words clearly in my head.
