The story of a girl who just wants some peace and quiet and maybe play some volleyball...
After a couple of hours just walking around Taishan and reuniting with people, we decided on having dinner at Aunt Sun's restaurant seeing as I haven't had a chance to go there yet.
'Is it good?'
'OF COURSE,' Li yells at me, rolling her eyes. 'Since when was this place's local dishes bad?'
'Good point,'
We share a warm laugh.
'I hope Ah Lan is there,' she says. 'Actually, no. She should be studying and working hard,'
'Dang, what's with you and work? It's all future, school, job, blah, blah, blah,' I tease.
This was a popular conversation topic between the two of us. It's been a while since we talked like this especially because of our schooling in Okinawa which definitely does not reveal her softer side.
Speaking of which, our dearest friends have been spamming me since Li followed that Seon guy. After all, it's not everyday that Li makes a friend willingly. They've been wanting to meet up during the holidays but we've been so busy.
Well, not actually.
Me and Li have been doing nothing, the triplets are probably bored out of their minds and Annie's attention span can rival those of a goldfish.
They should come over.
Like she read my mind, Li pulls out her phone to open instagram and types something into our group chat.
*Li's POV*
I read her mind.
To be honest, I am terrified of their reaction towards me in my comfort zone. I used to call my shared house in Okinawa, home but it never really felt like it. It looked homely and I've adjusted it to my preference but it just wasn't home. Maybe it was because me and Soo-ah had separate rooms or something.
I don't think the triplets or Annie would judge too hard if they saw this side of me so I pull out my phone, humming to the tune of Wannabe by ITZY and start texting.
