I was woken up one morning to my phone going off. I rubbed my eyes and lifted my phone to see what idiotic person had texted me at 10:30am.... Geez, don't people know that I need my sleep?!
I turned my phone on to see it was a message from Simon, one of my good friends, Hello, (Y/n). Just wondering whether you could come down to the Space Centre this afternoon? There's something I wish to discuss with you....
I smiled and replied, Sure, I can come down now. I'll just need to get dressed first.
I got out of bed and went to take a shower. I came back to my room to see another text from Simon, Okay, I'll see you when you get here. I'll just need to tell Dr Cykes then i'll be waiting for you outside.
I smiled and got dressed before heading downstairs, not forgetting to grab my phone, and got some food. I left the house, my mum having left for work sometime in the morning. I locked the door behind me and made my way to the Space Centre. However, when I arrived, Simon was nowhere to be seen. I walked up to the Robotics Lab, with the intention that he might be there talking to Dr Cykes about something or if he wasn't, asking her where she was. I knocked on the door and received a "come in." I opened the door to see no one there apart from Aura, hence making my face light up with a slight blush, knowing we were the only ones in the room. I swear to God, Simon if this is your way of trying to-
"Oh, hello, (Y/n), what brings you here today?"
"Simon texted me saying he wanted to discuss something with me, however I can't find him. Do you know where he is?" I asked rubbing the back of my head with my hand.
"Oh yes, Metis dragged him and Athena out somewhere claiming she needed to get something for her research, just before you arrived actually. Do you want to stay til they return?"
I nodded, "Only if I'm not going to be in the way."
"Of course not, you can help if you want." My face lit up at this. I was glad that it'd get to spend time with her.

"SIMON!" I shouted running up to him and hugging him, "I'm so glad you're free! Mr Wright, I thank you for saving him. I owe it to you."
"And you are...?"
"Oh right, sorry I didn't introduce myself..." I replied, rubbing the back of my head, "(Y/n) (L/n). Thank you again for saving Simon."
"It's my job but you're welcome."
I smiled and squeezed Simon tighter, "I'm so glad you're free."
"I know this might sound rude, but are you together or something?" I froze up and let Simon go, "No, we're just really god friends, that's it."
"Plus (Y/n) has got the hots for Miss Blackquill right?" Athena piped up. Athena, you are so dead! It was a secret! Why did you say that especially when she's in the room! "Now, If you'll excuse me, I have paperwork that needs working!" I turned around and walked to the door, however, before I could get out of the courthouse, I felt a hand grab the back of my coat, Shit.....
Before I could explain, I was being dragged back to the group, my face bright red... Simon turned me around before pushing me. I collided with something, or someone and fell onto the ground... my face went even redder when I realised two things: 1. It was Aura that Simon had pushed me into and 2. With the position we were in on the ground, it looked like I was straddling her. Shit! However, before I had a chance to get off of her and apologise, there was the sound of a whistle, and I felt a pain on the back of my head, forcing my head to move down...
Cause me to kiss Aura. When I realised this I jumped off immediately and stood up, helping her up too, "I'm so sorry, Aura, I didn't mean-" I was shut up when she grabbed the collar of my coat and pulled me into her, kissing. I was shocked at this, but melted into it, wrapping my arms around her neck. She let go of my collar and wrapped hers around my waist. We soon broke off due to lack of Oxygen and once I had caught my breath, I turned to Simon giving him a "You better start running before I fucking murder you" face. He just smirked at me, "You'll thank me later, (Y/n)."
Long story short, I paid Aura's bail and was happy when, a few weeks later, she asked me to marry her. I of course said yes and immediately knew who I'd ask to be my maid of honour. Athena. And on the day, as me and Aura said our vows, I heard Dr Cykes' voice in my head, "Take care of her, (Y/n)."
I will. I thought to myself.
