--------------------(After TFT)
"Hey, Apollo. Could I talk to you please?" I'd wanted to talk to him since I had heard what happened at the Space Centre.
"Hm? Oh yeah, what do you need, (Y/n)?" he replied, turning to look at me. I grabbed his hand and dragged him all the way back to my house, wanting the privacy and knowing the rest of the agency would return there, probably while I was still talking to him. I closed the front door behind us, before dragging him to the sofa. I looked down sadly, trying to hold in my tears. However, a few managed to escape. Clay had been my only family and Apollo was my best friend. When Clay was murdered, and Apollo abandoned the agency to go and investigate himself, I was broken inside, but I kept it together for Athena's sake, knowing what she was going through, having to relive her mother's murder which she 'witnessed' at the age of eleven. Before I knew it, Apollo was sitting next to me and hugging me, "(Y/n), listen I-" I cut him off, "Apollo, I don't need you to sell me on reasons to want you. I don't need you to search for the proof that I should. You don't have to convince me and you don't have to be scared you're not enough because what we've got going is good," I smiled up at him, placing a hand on his cheek, "Apollo, I know what you're trying to do. You don't need to apologise. It wasn't your fault that you took it badly. I don't need more reminders of all that's been broken and I don't need you to fix what I'd rather forget. Let's just clear the slate and start over and try to quiet the noises in your head. We can't compete with all that," I pecked his cheek, "So what if it's us? What if it's us and only us? And what came before won't count anymore or matter? Can we try that?" He nodded, seemingly agreeing with me. I smiled and continued, "What if it's you, and what if it's me? And what if that's all that we need it to be and the rest of the world falls away? What do you say?"
He smiled softly and placed a hand on my cheek, mirroring my earlier action, "I never thought there'd be someone like you who would want me."
"Well?" I asked.
"So I give you ten thousand reasons to not let me go but if you really see me, if you like me for me and nothing else. Well, that's all that I've wanted for longer than you could possibly know. So it can be us, it can be us and only us and what came before won't count anymore or matter, we can try that."
I smiled at him and we continued together, "It's not so impossible."
"Nobody else but the two of us here."
"'Cause, you're saying it's possible."
"We can just watch the whole world disappear," I continued, pecking him on the lips.
"'Til you're the only one I still know how to see," we both sang together.
"It's just you and me," Apollo continued, a tear coming down his face. I knew Clay's death had impacted him as much as it had impacted me.
"It'll be us, it'll be us and only us and what came before won't count anymore," I sang, giving him a hug.
"We can try that. You and me, that's all that we need it to be and the rest of the world falls away, and the rest of the world falls away. The world falls away, the world falls away and it's only us." Once we'd finished, I leaned up and kissed him full on, "I love you so much, Apollo. Don't ever forget that."
"I love you too, (Y/n)."
"We can work through this together, okay?"
He nodded, "Together." I smiled and leaned my head on his shoulder, soon falling asleep.
The world falls away and it's only us...
