-------------------------
The UR-1 incident. An incident that both changed and ended lives. Metis Cykes was murdered. Athena Cykes was sent to Europe to live with family there. Simon Blackquill was found guilty of the murder. Aura Blackquill started to distrust the whole court system... and me? You may be wondering what I have to do with the case, when I'm not related to any of the people involved, well, that's wrong. Simon had been my boyfriend for a while and I was devastated when I was told that he was found guilty. However, the first time I went to visit him, I was mad at him too....
"SIMON! How can you be that stupid!?"
"I told you, it was to protect Athena."
"Did you not think though?! Did you not think that you going to jail would impact me too!? I love you, Simon, I couldn't imagine my life without you!" Now this may have seemed like odd words to come from my mouth. Especially after the DL-6 incident, where afterwards, I became a literal rock. I didn't talk to anyone and dug myself into my studies to become a prosecutor, and I never showed any emotion at all, but it was the truth. While living with von Karma, I was taught that a 'prosecutor didn't have time for foolish things like feelings and love,' but once I met Simon, when I was 18, him being 19, my heart started beating abnormally and I soon realised I was in love with him. Then I confessed and the feelings were mutual, and we started dating.
After that incident happened, I stopped taking on cased and just stayed in my office for hours upon end, usually with no breaks, trying to solve the case, with little success. I had gained access, somehow, to all the evidence from the case, and I couldn't crack it.
---------------------------PHOENIX'S POV
"Are the prosecution and defence ready?"
"The defence is ready, Your Honour," I replied. Then there was silence, which confused the whole courtroom, me especially, as Edgeworth was never one to be late.
"Well, if the prosecution is not here, then I guess, we'll have to p-"
"That will not be necessary, Your Honour. Not happening, for the prosecution is perfectly prepared for trial." I felt like I recognised that voice, and I was proven right when a pair of black shoes adorned with a (F/c) suit (cause Author-Chan can't be bothered describing it), and the (H/l) (H/c) came into view. And it was safe to say that the whole courtroom was surprised at (Y/n)'s entrance as she hadn't taken on a case on over seven years.
"My my, if it isn't the one and only Phoenix Wright. You still look the same as ever. Your Honour, I apologise for my tardiness, however, I had to dash here last minute after begging Miles to let me take the case."
"Understood Prosecutor."
-----------------YOUR POV (For the purpose of this oneshot the door to the Robotics Lab has a key-card thingy on it - like the one in The Forgotten Turnabout (probably another case with it, but that's the first one that came to my mind) that logs who goes through the door)
