(Set after Dual Destinies but before Spirit of Justice).... So this came to me while watching a playthough of Apollo Justice so... lets see how it'll turn out. Also, to make it clear, you're already dating him in this. Also, ever so slight spoilers for Turnabout Trump and Turnabout Countdown (the first cases of Apollo Justice and Dual Destinies respectively) as well as 'rough' spoilers for Apollo Justice (ie, what happens with Phoenix)

"Miss (L/n), you are suspected of forging evidence. You will hand in your attorney's badge immediately."

"Yes, Your Honour. I understand," I replied, trying not to let the tears fall as I unpinned my attorney's badge from the lapel of my suit jacket/waistcoat and placing it on the defence bench in front of me. I then proceeded to walk out the courtroom, not hearing the judge's words. I left the courthouse ignoring the bailiff that tried to get my attention and walked back to the house I shared with Phoenix. I walked up to our shared room and walked to the wardrobe where I kept all my clothes. I grabbed the zip-up hoodie I had and some leggings before proceeding to get changed. I took my time knowing that Phoenix was out investigating for a case with Athena and Trucy had dragged Apollo out to be her assistant again in her magic shows. Once I was changed, I put my suit (with whatever it consists of - up to you Reader-Chan) in the back of my wardrobe as I didn't need it anymore, before closing the wardrobe doors and leaving the house. I walked back to the Agency and opened the door, thankful that no one was back yet. I sat down on the sofa after closing the door behind me and sobbed.

Being a lawyer had meant everything to me. Ever since I'd seen Phoenix take on his first trial to Apollo defending Phoenix to Athena taking on Juniper's case last minute after the bombing incident in the courthouse. I'd got my badge shortly after Phoenix had been disbarred and I vowed I'd always fight for those who needed it.

I'd been sobbing to myself in the agency for a while and I was in my own world, that I didn't hear the door opening until, "Mummy?" I turned to the voice to see Trucy, Apollo behind her.

"Oh, hiya Trucy, Apollo."

"Miss (L/n)," Apollo replied. I sighed and leaned my head back on the sofa.

"Sorry if this sounds imposing, but are you okay, (Y/n)? Usually you'd be saying to me 'You don't need to be so formal with me, Apollo. (Y/n) will do' but you didn't say anything."

I turned to the 'demon horned' lawyer in red, "I'm fine, Apollo. There's no need to worry. I was-" I was cut off before I could finis by the doo opening again, "(Y/n), how'd the trial go?"  I wiped the new tears that had started to fall and curled up into a ball on the sofa, "Mm."

"You okay, (Y/n)?!" Athena squeaked.

"I'M FINE!" I shouted, startling the four of them. Phoenix walked over to me, "You're not. I don't need to have Apollo's eyes or Athena's ability to read emotions to know that. Come on tell me."

I finally broke, flinging myself onto him, the force knocking him onto the sofa, and sobbed onto his chest. I felt him sitting up so I was sitting sideways on his lap, now sobbing on his shoulder. He lifted my chin up, "What is it? Tell me. I won't laugh, (Y/n)."

"I know you won't Phoenix. That's not what I'm wor-"

"Wait, (Y/n), why aren't you in your suit? And where's you badge?" I flung myself back onto him, digging my head into the crook of his neck, "I don't know how you dealt with it, Phoenix. It's absolutely devastating to get your occupation ripped away from you."

"Wait... what do you mean?" I lifted my head from his shoulder, "I-I don't want to talk about it. I'm sure it'll be in tomorrow's paper or on the news later. Things like this don't get slipped under the carpet. Also, prepare for a reporter to come round sometime, looking for me. I'm sure the Press will be all over the story once the news gets out."

"(Y/n), what are you talking about?"

I turned to Athena, "I got my badge taken away is that what you wanted to know?! Or do you want more details?!" I choked out. The found of them gasped before they a,l embraced me in a hug. After a minute they let me go and I turned to Phoenix, "Feel free to break up with me. I know you won't want-" for the 3rd time that day, I was interrupted before I could finish my sentence, "(Y/n), don't ever say that. I will never break up with you. I love you and always will. I don't care if you have your attorney's badge or not, I will always love you. Don't ever think anything other than that. You were there for me when I lost my badge so I'm going to be there for you."

"We all are here for you, (Y/n)."

I smiled and hugged them, "Thank you."

"And that's exactly why we're not going to stop until you've got it back!" Athena spoke, making a peace sign with her hand (yk, like her sprite?)

I smiled, "I appreciate you trying to help, Athena, but there's nothing you can do. I don't have any evidence proving I didn't know that the 'suicide note' was forged."

"Well, I think I know someone that might be able to help."

"Miss (L/n)."

"Y-yes, Your Honour?" I replied.

"You may have your badge back."

I smiled as one of the bailiffs came up to me and handed me my badge back. I grinned wider when I pinned it to my lapel again.

"Court is adjourned!"

I left the courtroom with a massive smiled on my face. The minute I was Phoenix I ran up to him and kissed him, "Thank you, thank you so much!"

"Just doing my job, (Y/n). I know you'd never forge evidence."

"And I the same for you," I replied, hugging him. I then felt three more pairs of arms hugging me.

"It's good to see you with a smile, (Y/n)."

"I agree with, Apollo. I can hear the happiness in or heart!" Athena squeaked. I smiled, "I'm glad too."

"I'm happy too! I don't like seeing you sad, Mummy!" I smiled more and gave Trucy a massive hug.

"Wright."

I broke off from the hug with Trucy and walked over to Edgeworth, firstly slapping him, "That's for making me get my badge get taken away. If you hadn't pointed out the possibility of the suicide note being forged, then I wouldn't have been disbarred." I then proceeded to hug him, "And that's for helping Phoenix get my badge back."

"(Y/n), I wanted to talk to you actually. I'm sorry and I deserved that slap. I wasn't thinking when I brought it up that it could have been forged and I'm sorry that I caused you to lose your badge. I'll stop now because I believe there's a question that Wright want's to ask you." He turned around and walked out the courthouse. I turned back to Phoenix, "You have a question for me."

"Yes, I do, (Y/n). I was going to ask you after the trial before but I didn't when you said what had happened. (Y/n), I love you so so so much and I want you to know it by asking you this, will you marry me?" He asked getting down on one knew in front of me. I nodded, "Of course! I love you too!"

He stood up and kissed me, something I happily returned.
