I smiled as I walked into class on Monday morning to see both Apollo and Clay there already. I smiled at the two of them and sat down with them, "Good morning! How were your weekends?"
"Great!"
There was no response from Clay until Apollo nudged him, "Clay? You're staring again."
"W-what? Or sorry (Y/n), I was off in my own world."
I giggled, "It's okay. Dreaming about space again were you?" I asked, smiling at him. His love for space was what had made me fall in love with him in the first place due to my own obsession with it.
He froze slightly, "Y-yeAh! Totally thinking of space... totally wasn't thinking of something else!" I giggled, ignoring his little voice crack, "Okay...."
"Oh, (Y/n), I was going to ask, did you-" Clay didn't manage to finish his sentence as the teacher came in, meaning we all had to be quiet.
---------------------
It was lunchtime the next time that both me and Apollo saw Clay, with us taking different subjects, we didn't see each other much apart from in Registration and Lunchtime. However, I wasn't expecting to see Clay in the situation he was in when we found him. He was trapped against his locker and was looking like he'd either been crying before or was crying now. Two of the other boys in our year had him pinned, "Stargazing. That's your thing? Seriously? I knew you were a nerd but that's just strange!" This got my blood boiling and before Apollo could stop me, I'd called out to them, "Hey! Leave him alone! He's done nothing to deserve it! Now back off before I tell a teacher! And trust me, I have evidence." I did actually, I'd taken a picture with my phone before calling out to them. The two of them looked to each other before running off, leaving Clay to fall to the ground. Both me and Apollo ran over immediately, "You okay, Clay? Please tell me you're okay!"
"I'm fine, (Y/n), you don't need to worry," he replied trying to stand up before falling again, right on top of me. My face lit up and I heard chuckling. I glared at Apollo, he was the only one that knew about my crush on Clay although, he'd promised not to tell him until I was ready.
"I'm sorry, (Y/n)! I didn't mean to fall on you!" Clay apologised, getting off of me and standing up carefully this time. I smiled and stood up myself, my face bright red, "It's okay. I'm fine, Clay."
"Oh yeah! I was going to ask you whether you wanted to come with me to a meteor shower that's happening tonight? I know a really good place to watch it from, that's if you want to come with me," he responded, biting his lip lightly. I smiled and hugged him, "I'd love to!"
"Now usually, I'd ask why you didn't ask me to come with you, but I know what this is about," Apollo spoke, smirking slightly while glancing at Clay. He turned to me and whispered in my ear, "Good luck tonight... This'll go one of two ways."
-------------------------------
And so I waited for Clay where he had asked me to wait. When he arrived he set up his telescope before sitting next to me, "Now we wait." I nodded and leaned my head on his shoulder while we waited. Soon the meteor shower started, which piqued my interest. I perked up and stared at the sky, "It's beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you are, (Y/n)."
I turned to him, "Hm? Did you just... call me beautiful?" I asked, my face lighting up red. his face turned the same colour, "Y-yeah, I did. I want to tell you something, (Y/n). Well, actually I have something to confess to you."
"Hm? What is it?"
"I-I should have told you this ages ago, but I love you. I hav-" I cut him off my pinning him to the grass, "I love you too, Clay!"
He smiled, "C-can I kiss you then?"
I giggled, "Of course," I replied, leaning down and kissing him. He kissed me back and wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped mine around his neck and he sat up so I was now sitting on his lap and making out with him.
"I love you."
"I love you too, (Y/n)." I smiled and hugged him, "You're my adorable Space-Loving Bean and I love you for it. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise, Clay."
"I won't (Y/n)."
