"I ALREADY TOLD YOU! I'M THE LAWYER ASSIGNED TO THIS CASE! LET ME PAST!"
"Athena, please don't tell me you're going to flip the officer again? And if you are, not right on top of me this time please?"
I stood leaning against a nearby lamp post watching the two of them, well mainly Athena arguing with the officer in charge of the scene. She'd been pestering him to let the two of the into the crime scene to investigate. I shook my head and walked over, the officer immediately letting me though. I smiled to him before walking closer to the scene sending both Athena and Apollo a smirk. Our of the corner of my ear, I heard Athena's voice, "How?! Why'd you let her in but not me?!"
Clearly, Mr Wright didn't tell them...
However, I just continued to ignore them and investigate, with Gumshoe's help.

After half an hour, I noticed that Athena was still arguing with the officer that wasn't letting her in. I sighed and walked over, grabbing the guy by his uniform, "Let them investigate." I let him go and he nodded. I smiled to him and sent one to Apollo and Athena too mouthing, "You're welcome." to them. A few minutes later, into their investigation, Apollo came up to me, "Excuse me, miss."
I turned to look at him, "Oh, Mr Justice. What did you want?" I asked motioning to the detectives and officers to continue investigating.
"I was just wondering how you managed to have that extent of power that you got that officer to let me and Athena in to investigate and why?"
I giggled, "Well, a magician never reveals her secrets, so why should I? Also, I told him to let you in because, even though we've only started investigating this morning, I know the girl we've arrested is innocent. You and Miss Cykes can hardly defend her if you don't know anything about the case and haven't been investigating. Is that all?" He nodded and I turned around to walk off, before he grabbed my arm, "There is one more thing." I turned back to face him, "Sure, what is it?"
"How do you know who me and Athena are?"
"Damn you, Wright," I muttered under my breath before talking back to him, "The Space Centre case was all over the news, so that's how I found out." Totally not from Father....
"Okay, I was just wondering." Even though he walked off after that, I still felt like he didn't believe me. As in, he didn't believe my lie.
APOLLO'S POV
When she told me she got it from the news, I felt my bracelet react, meaning she was lying to me. However, I didn't press her and walked back over to Athena, who was staring intently at a stick, like it was going to kill her.

"(Y/n), let me defend you."
I sighed and moved my hear from my face, looking him in the eye, "Why?"
"(Y/n), don't be difficult. I know you don't have an attorney yet-"
"Yeah, cause everyone thinks I'm guilty. In fact, you probably do too, you're just here cause Father asked, well more like made you, defend me and he won't give up until I let you defend me, right?"
Before he could reply, Apollo had interrupted him, "Mr Wright, how do you know her?"
"Oh right. (Y/n) is Edgeworth's adopted daughter."
"Mr Wright, can you not talk about me as if I'm not sitting right here?" I asked him, my arms crossed and tapping my finger on my arm.
"Right, but Apollo just asked my a question, so I was answering it."

"(Y/n)!!! Congratulations!" I heard the scream from Athena, before she swiftly squished me in a hug, squeezing me. I sighed, "Miss Cykes, please get off of me."
"Aww," she responded, releasing me. I straightened myself out and turned back to Mr Wright, "Thank you," I spoke before stretching my hand out for him to shake. After we released each other's hands, I smiled at him, "Again, thank you for defending me." I turned on my heel before walking out of the lobby and back to the Prosecutor's Office.
APOLLO'S POV
It was odd to see Athena staring off into space a dazed look on her face, Widget glowing pink with heart eyes. What had happened was that Athena had fallen head over heels for (Y/n), and it seemed that Mr Wright worked it out too going off what his next comment was, "Athena, you're going to have a hard time there. (Y/n)'s heart is one of ice. It took a while for her to warm up to me after Edgeworth adopted her."
"Boss, what are you talking about?"
"You're crush on (Y/n)."
Her face lit up bright red, "What? Mr Wright I-"
"I want to date (Y/n)!" This outburst from Widget made Athena's face the colour of a tomato and me an Mr Wright chuckle.
YOUR POV
When I got back, my father was waiting for me in my office, "Are you okay, (Y/n)?" I smiled, "Yeah, I'm great now I'm free. Mr Wright is indeed the 'Ace Attorney' people say he is. I'm glad I let him defend me."
"So you're warming up to him then?"
"Ehh. If you say so, but it's nice to be free again."
"So, did you tell her?"
I froze slightly, Was there something he'd asked me to tell Aunt Franziska and I've forgotten?!
"Tell who, what?" I sked, trying to play it dumb.
"You know what I mean, (Y/n). I was watching your trial from the gallery, as you know, and I noticed you were refusing to look anywhere near Athena whenever she was either talking to you or about you, which is out of character for you."
I felt my face flush red and I turned away from him to hide it. I heart footsteps before a hand was placed on my shoulder, "(Y/n), I'm not going to be mad at you if you have a crush on her. The heart just wants what it wants." I smiled ang hugged him, "It wasn't your reaction I was nervous about. It's Athena's reactio-"
"(Y/N)!"
I turned to the door, which had now been pushed wide open, to see Athena standing there. Before I could say anything, she'd run up to me and pounced on me, kissing me.
