Don't ask, this randomly came to me.
----------------------
"(Y/n)?"
"Oh, hey Aura, what brings you here today?" I asked opening the door to the house for her to come in.
"(Y/n), I have something to tell you and I don't know how badly you'll take it so you'll need to sit down."
"Wait how 'badly'? Aura, what exactly are you telling me?!"
She didn't reply but led me to the living room before sitting me down on the sofa, "(Y/n), Simon's taken the blame for Metis's murder and he was declared guilty in the trial following."
"What?!"
"It's the truth, (Y/n)."
I pulled my legs up on the sofa and sobbed, "Why? I didn't even get to tell him!"
"Tell him what, (Y/n)?" I just stood up and walked into the bathroom, coming back a few minutes later and handing Aura the test, "This. Simon's a father and he won't even be here to help me raise this child!" I sobbed, collapsing back onto the sofa.
"(Y/n), I'll help you if you want. I don't want you straining yourself."
"Thank you, Aura," I replied before wiping my tears, "I'd love that, Aura. I'd appreciate your help."
------------------------
Over the next few years, with the help of Aura, Alicia grew up to look exactly like Simon. This, upset me as it brought back the memories of Simon. However, there was one day that changed this.
"(Y/n), they're having a retrial of the incident."
"What?! Aura, please don't be kidding with me."
"I'm not."
"Who's defending him?!"
"Simon's not the defendant."
"What do you mean?!"
"Athena is."
My eyes widened, "Why would Athena murder her own mother?! What in the world is wrong with the court system?!"
"I've been wondering that myself for the past seven years, (Y/n)."
----------------------BLACKQUILL'S POV - After the trial
"Simon! I'm so glad you're free!"
"And I'm glad you're safe too, Cykes-Dono."
"There's someone else that wants to see you, Blackquill."
I turned around, "Who do you mean, Wright-Dono?"
"They're waiting outside for you." I turned back to Athena to see her all smiley and giddy, more than normal. She grabbed my hand and dragged me outside to a nearby hill. She smiled at me before running off. I sighed before walking up the hill. When I got up, I wasn't expecting to see what I saw, "(Y-(Y/n)?"
YOUR POV
I turned around and ran up to him, pouncing on him, "I missed you!" before kissing him, wrapping my arms around his neck. I soon felt his wrap around my waist. However, we soon had to break for oxygen, "I missed that. I love you
"I love you too, (Y/n)."
"There's one more surprise for you, Simon," I continued, leading him down the hill and back home, Please have remembered Aura. I took a deep breath before opening the door, "Aura?"
I smiled when Alicia came running into the hallway and up to the door, "Mummy! You're back!" I smiled again and picked her up as she ran towards me. I then heard Simon clear his throat and I turned to him, "Oh, Simon. This is your daughter, Alicia. Alicia, this is your father."
Simon turned to me, "She's mine? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I only found out the day you had your trial. Aura came round and told me after and I told her then. And yes, she's yours. She's a spitting image of you, Simon."
I leaned up and pecked his cheek, "I promised I'd wait for you. I didn't move on." I then turned to Alicia, "Alicia, do you know where your Aunt is?"
"Oh yeah, Aunty Aura said she had something to take care of so she went out."
Aura, do you know how to look after a child?! Rule number 1: Don't leave then alone! I took a deep breath, "Okay, Alicia. Come on, I think it's your bedtime," I spoke, ushering her upstairs.
"But, I'm not ti-" she was cut off with her own yawn and I chuckled, "I think you are, Alicia. Come on." I picked her up, somehow, although, for a 7-year-old, she was light and carried her upstairs to her room, tucking her in, "Goodnight sweetie. You can spend time with your father tomorrow."
"Okay." And with that, she was out like a lamp, fast asleep. I smiled and walked back downstairs to see Simon sitting on the sofa. I sat down next to him and snuggled into him, "I love you, Simon."
"I love you too, (Y/n)."
