It's been years since the fight against team flare, where our heroes fought long and hard through the red night sky. The city of Lumiose set in rumbles and the streets filled with long, dark vines, hanging from sidewalks and up to the buildings. But today, it has been covered with the warmth of all people and pokemon, rebuilding the city to its former glory, one day at a time.

The Sun beamed through the blue, cloud-less sky, grazing the land of Kalos with warmth from the shining gaze. The grass danced from side to side, making its lush green fill the plains with life as the skiddos and gogoats wondered around the sea of soothing grass. The chirps of the wild airtype pokemons flew through the sky, letting shadowy silhouettes cover the ground as they traveled throughout the lush land beneath them. Today marked the one year anniversary when Ash and his friends saved the land of Kalos from the evil organization calling themselves Team Flare, who set fear to those who lived through the disasters that unfolded to the public.

It was about this time when a certain someone came out of their slumber. Here, we see a girl who worked hard, through rain and shine, to thrive to see her goal. But at the time, she is just resting from the long adventure she went through from the watery Hoen region.

"Can you please wake Serena up," the brown haired brunette asked the small bird who was perched on the side of the open window. "I called her multiple times and she's just not getting up." The bird nodded and with that, it flapped its wings and jumped out the window, flying up into the sky and entering the sleeping girls room. The bird then perched itself on the front of the bed, looking down to a sleeping girl, who looked to be having a nice dream about a certain someone.

"Fletch," the bird chirped cheerfully. The girl rolled over, having her face up to the bird.

"Five more minutes," she said droozlely. Her short golden hair covered her face, making it hard to see the white winged bird. The bird glared at the girl and went to plan B. Just like that, it's beak glowed a solid white went right down to her face, making the girl jump out of her bed, screaming in pain.

"There she goes again," her mom sighed as she got out a loaf of bread from the covereds and put a piece into the toaster. She heard footsteps coming down the stairs and an angry girl entered. "Morning Serena," the mom said, giving her kid a warm smile.

"You know, there has to be another way for you to wake me up then just, well you now," Serena said, giving a glare at the tiny bird who just tilted it's head in confusion. The mom giggled and gave Serena a plate of a golden toast, spread with the whiteness of miltank-butter.

"Well, I tried, but you wouldn't wake up." Serena pouted as she ate her breakfast, watching the TV from the living room. "By the way, your friend May called earlier, it sounded like she wakes up early like what a normal person does."

"When did she call?"

"Just a few minutes ago." Serena then got up from the couch and headed to the video camera. She didn't care about doing her hair because in her eyes, May was like a sister to her. During her journey through the Hoen region, she met May at one of the contests. It was during the final round when they met one another. Surprisingly they shared a lot of the same interest and strides to similar goals as well.

Serena dialed in May's number, now waiting for her to pick up the other end. It took a few seconds until Serena saw a familiar brunette on her screen. Her iconic bandana was worn proudly around the brown hair. She wore her usual red shirt and a bright smile that covered her face.

"Hey May what's up," Serena said, giving her a warm smile in return.

"Your mom was right about you having the worst bed of all Kalos," she said laughing out loud, making the golden-blonde haired girl blush madly.

"So why did you call?" Serena said, snapping out of her chrance. May smirked as she pulled out her phone, making the young Kalos girl confused. May then put the phone up to the screen that read: 'The Kanto Contests are coming your way! Starts on July 8th.'

"Guess Kanto is hosting the next contests," Serena said, smiling to the thought of her next new adventure in a whole new region of pokemon. It was true that she always wanted to go back to Kanto since Professor Oak's Summer Camp, seeing the vast lands with a new goal. The thought of colorful pokemon cover the land of green and blue, having pokemon throughout the lands and sea. She wanted to make new friends, visit new places, and care for new pokemon. It was always her dream, to make people and pokemon happy. She smiled at the thought of Kanto, then looked up to see a smirking brunette on the screen.

"You thinking about seeing him again?" May said, making the Kalos girl blush bright red. Her face became redder as the memories of the black spiky hair boy flowed into her mind. The tears of joy drizzled down her face like a river down the mountain side.

"Umm you ok Serena?" May asked with a hint of concern. Serena wiped the tears off her face, letting out a big smile, which was filled with hope.

"May,"

"Yah?"

"Let's go to Kanto."
