Bonnie watched as she saw Froakie as he attempted to dodge flaming rays of Rapidash's Fire Blast. She sweat dropped as her Froakie failed to dodge the final Fire Blast.

"Froakie!" she yelled out, hoping that her frog pokemon is ok. Froakie struggled to get in as she saw one more Fire Blast incoming towards the water type pokemon. "Use Bubble," but it was too late. The last Fire Blast hit Froakie, sending him flying towards the sideline, making him faint on the floor of the battlefield. The referee looked at the fainted pokemon as he put up one a hand.

"Froakie is unable to battle," the referee said as gasps filled the arena. "Raidash is the winner." Bonnie put her head down as she returned the water type pokemon back into his ball, letting out one more tear drip down once more. "Please send out your last pokemon," the referee said as he watched the trainer open her yellow purse.

"Dedenne, time to shine!" she yelled out as the mouse jumped out of the bag. Blaine looked at Bonnie, confused as he watched Dedenne take one the large fire horse pokemon.

"Is that really her strongest pokemon?" Paul whispered to Barry as they both watched the mouse take the field. Barry shrugged as he eyed the mouse.

"Battle begin!"

"Dedenne, start running around Rapidash," she said, earning the nod from her pokemon. Dedenne then started to run around the horse like pokemon, making the gym leader watch the mouse, curiously. Clemont smiled as he watched the similar play styles between two trainers. Dawn noticed and looked at Clemont, curioused.

"Why are you smiling?" she asked the inventor. He looked up to see the Sinnoh coordinator as he continued to smile, looking back to the battlefield.

"Everytime I watch those two battle, they just remind me of another trainer," he said as he continued to watch Dedenne swerve around the horse. Dawn was intrigued, wondering what he meant by 'another trainer,' but shook it off and watched the battle unfold.

"Ok," Blaine said as he fixed his glasses. "Let's finish this with a Flamethrower," he said as he pointed at the mouse. Bonnie smirked and pointed at the fire type pokemon.

"Dedenne," she said as she watched the fiery beam come closer to the mouse. "Dodge it and use Nuzzle." Dedenne nodded and ran straight towards the towering fire horse and jumped onto his neck. The mouse then started to rub his cheeks and eletricutate the Rapidash, making the horse fall onto the ground and faint. The referee took a good look at the horse as he put an arm up into the air.

"Rapidash is unable to battle, Dedenne is the winner. Which means the match goes to Bonnie, the challenger." A burst of cheer came from the stands as Dedenne turned and ran back to his trainer, who was jumping up and down with glee. Blaine let out a weak smile as he took out a pokeball and returned his Rapidash.

"You did well my friend," Blaine said as he looked at the pokeball. "Now take a good rest." The gym leader across the field to the everlasting happy trainer and smiled. "You were great out there, for your victory, I like to present you the Volcano Badge." Blaine took the badge out of the case and handed it into Bonnie's hands, making her more filled with joy as she announced her victory as both Paul and Brock sweatdropped, remembering a certain someone that had done that before.

"I'm guessing you're going to look for another gym to battle?" Blaine asked, earning a nod from the Kalos trainer. Blaine smiled and took out a map of the reign. "Well, the nearest gym from here is in Vermilion City," he said as he pointed to the city on the map. Bonnie nodded as she listened to the gym leader. She smiled and thanked Blaine for the battle once more and left the gym with the others.

"I did it, I did it, I did it!" the blonde girl yelled in excitement. Dawn smiled as she watched the Kalos girl celebrate her victory as she ran around the Pokemon Center with her pokemon. She then felt a small tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Clemont sitting next to her with a worried look.
