I laid in my bed wide awake. The sun was starting to come up and I groaned. I walked to my window and scowled as I opened the curtains. Why was the earth so happy today whilst I felt like a rotten egg.
It was Friday, the day after Aidens party. I struggled to get any sleep last night, I was in pain physically and emotionally. But oddly enough I felt as if heavy weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Despite the ugly turn the breakup took I was glad it happened.
I could finally breathe again without having to think whether I was good enough for someone.
I took my time getting ready for school and prayed the day would end quickly so I could come home and get back into my bed. Going into school also meant that everyone would be talking about last night and a part of me was scared because almost everyone was Zane's friend. I knew the sort of reaction I would be getting.

I took a deep breath and pushed the school doors open. I made my way to my locker and I could hear everyone whispering.
"Can't believe she got Zane beat up like that"
"She deserved it"
"She broke his nose" That one made me happy, it was nice knowing that my thick head was good for something.
"Ignore them" I felt Liam put his arm around me. I gave him a smile of gratitude.
"How are you doing?" I opened my locker and threw my jacket in.
"Much better than I expected" I didn't want him to worry about how miserable I was actually feeling. I could feel the stares I was getting from everyone and they were starting to get to me. I grabbed my books and headed for my lesson.
I walked into the class and instantly everyone's heads turned my way. I usually have this class with Aiden but he was probably at home with a hangover, so I had to face the hormonal demons myself. I kept my head hoping they would ignore me but I was wrong.
"The bleach queen makes her appearance" I gritted my teeth as I took my seat. I pulled my sleeves subconsciously in an attempt to hide any Vitiligo I had on my hands. Even though I know I covered every patch.
"It's cute you thought that you could really be Zanes girlfriend and make your place amongst us." I looked to see Karen looking at me with a smirk.
"Your place is right near the trash along with your trashy friend, what was her name" She pretended to be thinking before looking at me again.
"Ah yes, Mia, the little slut. You two are the perfect combination of besties, trashy and ugly" I felt anger boil inside me, there was no way in hell I was going to let her insult my best friend like that.
"Yes, Mia, the same one that knocked you out in ONE punch when you were throwing yourself at her boyfriend. If anyone is trashy it's you, instead of opening your legs, open a book and educate your small mind. Maybe then you'll realize that no one is 'superior' to another, but until then I really pity you for your pea sized brain"
Everyone snickered around her and she huffed in anger.
"You pity me, sweetie I pity you. You're so insecure that you bleach your skin, so I will pity you till the day you stop."
"It's a skin condition called Vitiligo, look it up once you get time from being a hoe"
"You little bitch"
