16. One of Her Girlfriends

Sapphires P.O.V

"Morning" I felt someone hug me from behind, I turned to see Zane, he leaned in to kiss me and I quickly moved so he met with my cheek. I saw that he clenched his jaw, great I've pissed him off.

"How are you" I gave him a soft smile hoping it would make the situation better.

"I just remembered I have something to take off, I'll see you at lunch" I sighed as I watched him stalk off angrily.

"Damn, he looks pissed"

"Tell me about it"

We had been dating for a month and we still hadn't kissed, which is probably annoying Zane. But I'm not comfortable and besides I want my first kiss to be perfect, I've waited so long a little longer won't hurt.

"I mean I can see it from his point of view, but at the same time I'm proud of you for holding your ground" Liam pulled me into a hug.

"Ignore him, he'll get over it" Liam put his arm around me and we made our way to class.

I was heading outside when I was pulled by someone. I looked to my side to see Luca who had a goofy smile on his face. This was never good.

"Did it hurt"

"What?" I looked confused as the other 3 laughed.

"When you fell from heaven"

"No but it hurt when I gave a hard slap"

"When did you-OUCH" I smacked him with my folder, the rest burst into laughter and hearing them laugh made me laugh.

"Why are you 3 laughing, you're supposed to be my friends" Luca's italian accent seems to kick in when he gets angry and it makes the situation either funny or scary.

"We were friends?" Nic's comment had me pissing myself. He rarely spoke so his one liners were lethal.

"Fucking fake fuckers" He started to muttter in Italian and I looked at Valentino confused. Rafael stood besides them looking like he couldn't believe this was even happening.

"Calm down" I put my arm around him and he lightly shoved me.

"You hurt me" He gave me pout and I tried not to laugh.

"Wipe that look off your face, you look like a pathetic puta" I tried to not laugh as Rafael looked disgusted and totally over Luca's antics.

"What's puta" All the guys burst out laughing. I looked over to see Rafael howling with laughter, this was probably the first time I saw him laughing like this and I was in awe.

It was a sight that made my heart flutter and skip a beat.

Wait what the hell. I should not be feeling like this.

"Its nothing and stop making that stupid face Luca" Rafael smirked at me and then turned his attention to his friend who still had a pout on his face.

"I'm fragile and she hurt me...here" He pointed to his heart and everyone burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I'm sorry" I gave him an apologetic look.

"I forgive you" He held out his arms and I laughed as I walked closer to give him a hug. Not going to lie but so far Luca and Val give the best hugs. For someone who wasn't keen on hugging that's starting to change.

"Ok you can let go now"

"I'm not done" Luca hugged me tighter. He eventually moved so now I was standing beside him and he had his arm around my shoulders. We were all talking until I heard Zane's voice.

He walked up to me and everyone's laughter died down and their stoic expressions returned.

"I'd like to talk to my girlfriend" Luca moved me closer to him and I could feel their hostility towards him, their demeanours had changed instantly. Zane emphasised the word girlfriend, his voice was filled with hostility and it kinda caught me off guard.

"Your girlfriend, I thought you were one of her girlfriends with your scrawny arms and man titties" I nearly howled when Nic spoke to Zane but I bit my lip to keep it in. The rest of them had small smirks on their faces, I knew they didn't want to laugh in front of Zane.

Zane moved forward and grabbed my arm.

"Lets go babe" He gave me a hard stare as Luca pulled me back and stood in a protective stance.

"Watch yourself little boy, treat her with respect" Luca glared at him.

"Saph lets go" Zane looked terrified and I knew this would end badly because Zane had a tendency to say stupid things and I feared for his safety so I walked up to him.

"I'll see you guys later." I gave them a small smile before walking off. They didn't look happy with how Zane spoke to me but I gave them a reassuring look to say I was fine.

Zane and I walked in silence until we reached a spot where we normally have lunch.

"Is everything ok?" Zane tugged at his hair and looked pretty torn.

"I don't want to sound insecure or clingy. But we've been dating for a month and we've been friends longer than that, but we still haven't kissed"

"Oh Zane" I sighed as I felt bad that he felt insecure because of me.

"Zane there is no doubt how much I like you, and as for the kiss I wanted it to be perfect because it would be my first. I want it to be special, not against the school lockers. I want everything that we do together to be special"

Zane pulled me into a hug. I felt bad, maybe I'm stupid for making a big deal out of it.

"I didn't know how much it meant and I promise your first kiss will be special, I want you to know that I really really like you, so everything we do I'll make sure its special"

"Thank you" He kissed the top of my head.

"Since we're talking about important moments, I'd like to take this one and ask you to the school charity dance tomorrow"

I had completely forgotten about the dance, our school held a dance where everyone who was attending could donate however much they want as their entrance fee. You also could donate food tins and clothes.

I was hoping to sit this one out, just go to work and binge watch netflix instead, unfortunately that didn't go to plan.

"I'd love to go with you"
