Sapphire's P.O.V

"Hello"

"To hear your lovely voice in the morning is the best thing" I rolled my eyes before turning onto my side, the bed was much colder on this side and I shivered, scooting back onto the warm side.

"What do I owe to have the pleasure of speaking to you at-" I looked at the clock and sighed, it was 10am and I was tired from working late from the night before.

"Me and the boys are going to watch a movie tonight and you are invited" I shot up in my bed

"And yes, Rafael will be there, and yes you two love birds can sit together"

"Luca, we are not lovebirds..." I found myself stuttering, not being able to form proper words to deny his words.

"Keep telling yourself that, everyone can see it but you two"

I liked Rafael but I was terrified. I wanted to tell him I liked him but I also didn't want to ruin our friendship. He has quickly become someone I can trust and I genuinely enjoy his company.

I was also terrified because of what happened with Zane. I know Rafael won't do the same but when it doesn't work out and the heartache you're left with crushes your soul. I don't think I can ruin things like that with Rafael over a temporary feeling of infatuation.

"Anyways 6'o'clock, meet us at the cinema. That's the earliest time they are playing the movie and also because we know you don't like staying out late" I laughed when he said the last part I could practically see him rolling his eyes at me.

"I appreciate that, I'll see you guys later"

"Bye"

"Bye" I hung up the phone and laid back. I had a shift at work from 11am to 4pm, hopefully I have enough time to rest before meeting up with the boys.

I grabbed my coat and ran for the door. It was 5pm and I had just finished work, someone called in sick and I had to cover the extra hour which they would have done.

I did a power walk to my house and reached home in 15 mins. I opened the door and kicked my shoes off. My feet cried in pain, I sighed as I pulled off my coat. I leaned against the front door only to be thrown forward.

I landed on my face and I heard shuffling behind me, but I was in too much pain to move.

"Saph, I am so sorry" My dad quickly rushed to my side and lifted me. He held my face and looked at it to make sure I wasn't hurt badly .

"Sorry" He kissed my forehead and then helped me up to my feet.

"I don't wanna sound rude but why were you just lurking around the door" I explained why I was leaning on the door.

"You should get some rest and I'll drop off food for you later when I get some for myself"

"It's ok dad you don't need to, I'm going to the cinema with my friends" I kept it short and simple hoping he wouldn't press any further on the matter. Thankfully he was in a rush so he muttered a quick ok and ran out of the door.

I did a once over in the mirror, I ran my fingers through my hair and I felt good having it down after a long day of them being in a tight ponytail. I had on a cute maxi dress and a pair of flat shoes. I grabbed my bag and headed out of the door.

The walk to the cinema was quite calming, I had my headphones in and not a worry in the world as I listened to my music.

I reached the cinema and looked around, there was no sign of the boys. Maybe I was early, I took my phone out and saw that I was actually 10 minutes late. I contemplated whether to wait 5 more minutes and then call them or to call them now.
