30. Who is He?

Sapphires P.O.V

I woke up happy for the first time in forever and it had something to do with a certain devil. I squealed into my pillow as I felt the butterflies return. How did this even happen, how did I fall for the very person who terrified me at one point.

I laid on my back and closed my eyes and the first thing that came to mind was Rafaels eyes. Those eyes that had me drowning in them every time I looked into them, I invited the feeling of suffocation in those eyes with great pleasure, the sincerity in them will be the death of me.

"Saph get up already!" I heard my dad's voice from outside my door and groaned.

I got up and showered, once I was done I tried to look for an outfit. For some reason I felt like putting in an effort. It wasn't for Rafael, it was for me. I mean just because I like him doesn't mean I'm gonna start dressing cute.

Oh who am I kidding, I am dressing cute for him.

I hate myself.

I connected my phone to my speakers and danced around to Blood Sweat & Tears by BTS.

The feeling of being happy was so freeing, I was dancing like a maniac whilst getting ready. I was whipping my hair around like an idiot when I wacked my head on my wardrobe. I felt my sight go a bit disorientated but then I shook it off because nothing could get me down today. I was feeling euphoric.

I looked in the mirror feeling satisfied with my look. I put on a cute baby pink top with jeans and a few bracelets to match my outfit. I left my hair down which was something I didn't do for school but today was too much of a good day to care. My receding hairline will be grateful that I released it from the tight ponytail prison.

I grabbed my bag and headed down. I went towards the kitchen and felt the tension in the air which suddenly sobered me up from my crazy feelings.

Grams was comforting Gramps who didn't look so well. I turned to my dad who was on the phone, I sat down quietly scared to talk, Gramps started to have a coughing fit and I quickly ran to get him a glass of water.

"I'm fine it's just a little cough" He took it from me with shaky hands, he looked up at me with a smile that shattered my heart. I knew he wasn't well but he tried to play it off.

"He's fine my love, you better get ready for school or you'll be late" I nodded my head as I made sure I had everything in my bag. I couldn't look at my breakfast knowing that Gramps wasn't well.

My dad got off the phone and I immediately stopped what I was doing to listen and my dad noticed and he sighed.

"Go on you're going to be late" I wanted to know but I knew now was not the time to be childish and have my way. He probably doesn't want to tell me for a reason and I respected that.

"Ok, I'll go, love you guys" I got and gave everyone a kiss before leaving.

I walked into school feeling nervous, I already regretted the idea of my outfit and on top of that anxiety, Gramps' condition this morning was at the back of mind creating a bottomless pit of anxiety.

"BOO" I screamed as I whacked my head on my locker door and pretty sure peed a little.

I turned around to see Dean, Aiden and Liam laughing their heads off.

"You should've seen your face, it was priceless" Aiden was laughing whilst slapping his legs. The other two were red in the face from laughing.

"You freak, you scared me" I walked towards him and slapped his arm really hard. Liam and Dean burst into more laughter to the point where they could barely breathe and they sounded like hyena's.
