39. Crying In The Club Pt.2

Sapphires P.O.V

I woke up next to Mia who was already groaning from her hangover. We both turned over at the same time and looked at each other and gave each other a dirty look before turning back. We both hated the morning and therefore we enjoyed each other's company because we can be miserable in silence together.

I got up and showered whilst Mia attempted to cure her hangover. Once I came out an hour later, I looked in the mirror and winced when I saw the slash on my shoulder. It felt like my arm was on fire when I moved it, but there was nothing I could do now, the damage was done.

I went downstairs and saw that Mia made breakfast for both of us, my stomach started to grumble on cue. I put a warm waffle on my plate and covered it in chocolate syrup before taking out a bite.

I ate in silence before bursting out to Mia about what happened last night.

"That fucking dog" She slammed her fork in her waffle aggressively and looked like she was about to hit someone.

"We are going back and I'm gonna beat his ass" With every word she slammed her fork and I found myself getting a bit scared.

"Mia calm down" I took the fork from her hand gently.

"We need to tell Rafael" She slammed her hand on the table as if she came up with the best solution.

"Yes definitely, I just don't know exactly how to break it to him. I don't want him to make any rash decisions which he will end up regretting, which is why I'm only going to tell him about the threat and not about my injury" I winced when my arm stung from the pain.

"You need to tell him, Anthony can't get away with hurting you like this"

I rang the doorbell of Rafael's house and to my surprise Valentino opened the door.

"Ayyy Saph!!" He stepped aside and let me head inside.

"Guys look who's here" Their heads turned around to look and all of their faces had warm smiles.

"I hope I'm not interrupting you guys"

"No you're not" Valentino placed his arm on my shoulder and I instantly winced.

"You ok?" Nicolas raised his eyebrow at me

"Yeah, I just had a fall in the shower this morning that's all" I awkwardly smiled it off but my arm felt like it was about to fall off.

"We can go in the kitchen to talk if you want" Rafael stood up and adjusted his top as he got up, I tried my best not to peek because I didn't want to be disrespectful.

He walked to the kitchen and I followed suit. I played with my fingers as I stood near the countertop, feeling nervous as to how I will tell Rafael about what happened last night.

"So what did you wanna talk about?" I snapped out of daze to see Rafael standing opposite me.

"Uh yeah that" I took a deep breath before recalling the events of last night. I left out the part about him hurting me and the comments he made about being with me.

Rafaels jaw was clenched and his posture became stiff. The threats Anthony made were no joke, especially the one about Sofia.

"I'm gonna fucking tear him from limb to limb and he'll wish he never crossed me" The anger was evident in his voice, but there was no trace of fear. It felt reassuring in some way but at the same time it terrified me of what Rafael was thinking to do.
