6. Excuses and Parties (Pt2)

Sapphire P.O.V

We both stepped in front of the house and already people were passed out on the ground. The door was already open and once we got in the horrible smell of sweat and alcohol hit our noses. I scrunched up my nose at the foul smell.

Mia held my hand as she guided me through the crowd. As we walked through we got many whistles from drunk guys. I just kept my head down and followed Mia towards the kitchen.

"MIA, SAPPH" I looked up to see Aiden who looked like he was slightly drunk. I laughed as he walked towards me and pulled me into a bear hug.

"Nice to see you too Aiden...uh...you can let go now" I looked behind at Liam for help who just gave me a sly look. I mouthed 'idiot' to him before shoving Aiden off me.

"You sure you're going to be ok Aiden" He gave me a very odd expression which probably meant yes. I rolled my eyes at him before turning to Liam and Dean.

"What drink do you want?" Liam opened a cooler filled with drinks which didn't appeal to me.

"Water will be just fine" Liam gave me a flat look and Dean laughed at me but when I glared at him he covered it up as a cough.

"And what is so funny to you two clowns" Neither of them seemed offended by me calling them a clown instead I was met with two cheeky grins.

"The fact that you are at a party and you're drinking WATER. Come on Saph live at little, get drunk and have fun with Zane" Dean gave me a wink and I felt my mouth drop. I picked up a cup to throw at him and he dodged it by hiding behind Mia.

"I don't need to get drunk to have fun with Zane"

"Oh so that's why you are dressed all pretty. I thought it was for me" I elbowed Liam in the stomach making him wince in pain.

"Kidding woman. Here take your water" All of them sniggered and I ignored them by taking a sip of my wonderful water. I looked around to see that now the kitchen had become a place for people to come in and make out.

Great. Can't hide here tonight.

"Come daaance with meee" Aiden took me by surprise as he grabbed my arm and pulled me to the main room where everyone was dancing. I tried dragging my feet to slow him down but my strength compared to his was nothing. He pulled me on the dance floor and I stood there awkwardly with my water as he danced.

"Oh my god, Aiden look, it's Jessica from English" I saw a girl from our class and pushed Aiden towards her. He ran towards her like a tiny puppy who saw their owner after a long day.

I walked away from the smelly sweaty people and stood on the side watching everyone while enjoying the music. I looked through the crowd to see if Zane was here or not, ugh why was I even looking for him this whole idea was stupid. He was probably just messing with me and I was stupid enough to be led on.

"Is there a reason as to why you're glaring at the ground?" I jumped slightly when I felt someone's breath on my neck.

"Gosh, you scared me" I had my hand on my chest as I looked up to see Rafael looking at me with a playful look in his eyes. His eyes dropped from eye level to look at the rest of my body before they met my eyes again. I felt my face go red and so I turned to face the crowd.

"Thought parties aren't your thing" He was standing very close to me and he leaned down to speak close to my ear as the music was loud.

"They aren't, but I felt bad bailing on my friends" Lies.
