25. Pregnant At The Supermarket

The weekend finally came around after a painfully long week and it was late in the evening when my dad decided we needed groceries. I jumped to go with him because late night grocery trip's are just a whole different vibe.

After making a list of what Grams needed and snacks for Gramps, me and my dad headed to his car. I ran to sit in the front next to him. His car was freezing cold and by the time the car warmed up we reached the supermarket.

I ran out to grab a trolley and we walked into the store.

"Can we go to the home section" I already made my way over to the candles and started to smell them, everytime I would come I would smell every candle until my dad dragged me away.

"Princess you look like a crack addict, stop sniffing the candles like that people are watching" I scowled at him as he looked around wearily and walked off. I wandered off into the clothes section whilst my dad went God knows where.

As I turned the corner I looked to see my dad flirting with a gorgeous woman, I felt a laugh bubble inside me as I realised my dad was smiling at her brightly and laughing with her. I was shocked because most of the time he would walk around with a scowl on his face.

I saw the lady throw her head back and laugh at one of his jokes, it was probably a stupid dad joke. I tried to slowly back away as I realised I felt like a creep watching two people flirt. As I backed away I ended up tripping over a stupid box that someone left on the floor and before I knew it a scream left my mouth and I took everything on the shelf near my hand down with me.

I rolled over on the ground and saw that my dad was looking at me with his eyebrow raised.

"I'm fine" I gave him a thumbs up before dropping my body back on the floor.

"Now even if you tried you can't wander off" My dad tied my hand to the trolley with a cloth.

"Oww, you're hurting me" I scowled as I tried to pry my wrist off the trolley.

"Not gonna work Saph" I sulked as he guided me and the trolley to the frozen foods department.

I watched as my dad walked over to get some frozen peas, he closed the door and walked to me. He pressed the peas on my back and I let a small scream out.

"Next time don't snoop" He gave me a sarcastic smile as he pressed the peas on my back. I turned my attention away from him because I knew he was enjoying this way too much. My dad's pettiness and need for revenge never fails to amaze me.

I looked to see Rafael's mum, Sofia, walk into the frozen foods aisle, her face lit up when she saw me. She walked over to me and pulled me into a hug, I awkwardly hugged her with one arm.

"Oh how are you gorgeous" Her eyes travelled to my tied up arm and she looked at me wearily.

"Aww I've missed you let me hug you again" This time she pulled me in tightly and whispered in my ear.

"Are you in trouble, why are you tied up. If you need help I'm good at kicking ass" I felt a giggle leave my mouth. Her accent got strong towards the end as the panic in her voice became more evident.

"I'm totally fine, my dad actually did this" I pulled away from her and pointed towards my dad who gave her a curt nod.

"Turns out she still hasn't learnt how to use her feet properly so it was a makeshift leash" Sofia laughed at my dad's lame joke.

"I'm David"

"Ah you're the sheriff, well it's nice to meet you, I'm Sofia"

"How do you two know each other?" My dad turned to ask me with a curious look on his face. He now held the frozen pearson my shoulders which were feeling quite sore.

"Well..." Before I could answer we heard a gasp from further down the aisle.

"Isn't that the pregnant girl?" I felt the colour drain from my face when I saw the two old ladies that me and Liam had pranked a while ago. They both walked towards me with a look of disgust.

"Pregnant" My dad gritted his teeth and he had put a lot of pressure on my shoulders. I could feel the peas digging into my shoulders.

"I have no idea what they are talking about ha ha" I tried to act as if I had no idea who they were but apparently these old ladies seemed to remember me perfectly.

"Oh yes it is the girl, the one who lied about her water breaking" As they got closer to me they stopped.

"Young lady, you really shouldn't be lying about your water breaking, pregnancy is no joke. I hope your parents have a word with you" She looked at Sofia and my dad with disapproval.

"Oh he's not my dad" I tried to lighten the mood but it only aggravated my dad further.

"Sapphire" My dad was beyond pissed as the old ladies walked off. Talk about lighting a fire and walking off.

I tried to move back from my dad who was fuming and poor Sofia didn't know whether she should intervene or stay quiet.

"Dad, I can explain" I winced as I saw his fuming face.

"Oh you're explaining it alright"

"Me and Liam"

"Liam?!?!?!" The look on my dad's face was hilarious and I would have laughed if I wasn't on the other side of his anger.

"Did I hear someone call me" Oh you have got to be kidding me.

Liam walked towards us with a goofy smile on his and a pack of sweets in his hand. Behind him was Aiden who looked just as happy, I tried to signal to both of them to turn away but they carried on walking.

My heart broke at Liams big smile, the poor guy doesn't even know what hit him.

"Hi Mr-" My dad grabbed Liam and shoved him against the shelves.

"Owww" Liam looked like he was going to cry and I knew this was going to be a long painful night.

"You better explain yourself son"

When Liam got shoved by her dad it kinda reminded me of Oliver from Hannah Montana and the way he screamed when he got slammed against the lockers once 😂😂
