“You can let go now”, River heard the voice and looked at the elven then glanced below him. They were hovering over the water, he knew these Creatures could do magic but they could fly too? “We can only glide for certain amount of time, so if you don’t let go now, you will be coming back with me to the cliff”, River got his answer without even having to ask out loud then he muttered a , “Yeah, ok. Thanks”, then let go.

The naked white skinned boy who had an animal skin made shawl wrapped over his body fell right into the water and watched as bubbles surrounded all around his body. He felt a pull and tug then his bones gave out a satisfying crack and in a minute he had his beautiful body back to the Siren state.

He went back to surface and saw Haldir was already back at the cliff, “Meet us back at the edge of the cliff when your family is ready and if they don’t want to help, I will turn them into normal fish until you do what I asked you to do”, he heard the warning in whispers as if the guy was right next to him or in his head.

River narrowed his eyes at the elven as anger rose in his heart for being threatened to do things. A bluish green streak of lightning struck just a feet away from Haldir and the guy felt his back go numb from the scare. The scared guy snapped his eyes at the sea, only to see a long tail with a sting submerge into the water.

River smugly swam under the water after giving a reply to the threat and tried finding his way back home. He didn’t know why none of his family and friends were at this side or why no one came to save him. “They couldn’t have tied all of them, could they?”, he mumbled to himself and increased his pace.

He finally saw the guard posts where two guard were unconscious, he went to them and gave a little zap only after trying to wake them up the normal way didn’t work. They shot up and hissed at him, ready to fight but when they saw the sparks of lightning around him and the pink necklace, they believed him when he told them he was Mira’s son.

They helped him get to the Tridia palace and they soon found a Total of thirty Sirens, two sired creatures included, to be unconscious just like the guards. Other animals were also put to sleep. River asked the two guards to line them up close to one another and zapped one person. One by one every one jolted up with groans, ready to fight.

It took River an hour to explain what had happened with him and he also talked about other Creatures in this new world. He told them about the reason why those creatures had come to the kingdom in the first place then how the dragons needed to be put back and most importantly how the goddess stone that everyone worshipped was the key to lock the three barriers that were in this world.

There was time when some common merfolk yelled about wanting revenge with the elves and some agreed to let the Dragons finish them then close the door. It was hard to convince them that it was stupid idea but when River brought up how only one of their kind could put all thirty of them to sleep, did their mouth stopped spouting nonsense and egging every one to fight.

“If you all want to fight then fight with Dragons, they killed more of us than those elves. Our people were not hurt by them first, they went to battle without knowing anything about their enemies and that’s the way they chose to die. Dragons are the problem that we need to solve first. Their magic doesn’t work on those beasts and they need our help to push those creatures to the border and hold them back until Destan, Zale and I close the portals”, River explained.

“I agree with River, our numbers will not increase by seeking revenge right now. If you want revenge then wait for it until we have numbers. It is clear that they are more powerful than us with or without numbers. We have thirty people and they have thirty excluding different species among them and who knows how many other they have under them. All we can do is act smart and join hands, we can make a blood pact for them to not cause us any troubles after we succeed the task. This is politics, we don’t have numbers or powers as them but they need us right now and we can use it to secure our future”, Erina chimed in and every one seemed to find it reasonable.

River thanked her leadership quality and even the leaders of both kingdoms seemed surprised in how Erina had already thought ahead of the problems that might come after closing the portals. Mills family agreed and so did everyone else. They postponed the purifying ceremony for the Tridia until the dragons were out of the world.

Warriors and folks went to ready their weapons and discuss strategy with Wayde, Erina, Zale and his parents while Olivia, Riley, Destan, Mira, Brandon and River stayed to help River perfect his abilities. “Your abilities seems to interact with your emotions and it makes them strong but it’s not a good thing. You are the one that needs to have the control over your powers, not your emotional state”, Mira said to River.

She opened her palms and every one watched her Create a light ball after she hummed then she controlled the shape and form of the light ball by just tweaking her frequency. “I and every one with an ability are taught to practice controlling it with sound. It trains your brain to register that this sound means your body will generate the power. It’s just a technique to help you train your mind, body and abilities. Just try that first”, she told River.

He took in big breathe and closed his eyes then hummed one of his favourite music, the background music for Regina from once upon a time. That music always gave him confidence and Goosebumps. However it didn’t work, Mira told him there were too many change of tones and pauses in that song.

River tried thinking about one tune that could make his mind think of how important it was to use the ability then he thought of something. He closed his eyes and hummed. As soon as he did, he heard the crackling around him and he didn’t even have to go full attack mode.

“Now keep that undertone and just tweak the song a bit, to regulate how much you want to release. Too much can drain you immediately after one blow but less with strong vigour could easily get the job done without losing much energy”, Mira guided her son. He did as she said and since sound was natural to Sirens, he easily got the hang of merging his ability with frequency.

He got good at doing it on will after thirty minutes. Now it was turn to learn how to use telekinesis. “Now this one requires emotions to be the strong motivation. You have to think of moving objects as if you are using your hands or tail to do it but for it to be strong and effective, right mindset and emotions are needed. Anger and fear is the strongest asset while using this ability but only during battle, relying on it will not be useful. Your grandmother used to say confidence and trust in yourself was the key to using telekinesis”, Mira mentored her son on using his second ability.

River understood then looked at a rock on the ground and focused on it for a while then willed it to levitate. He did it until a embarrassed groan escaped his mouth, “Ugh! It’s just hard because everyone in human world have tried doing this probably after every time seeing it in a show or movie and were always disappointed then laughed at themselves. I did it way too many times before and I used to think it moved a bit then laugh at myself for being stupid. It’s been deeply rooted in my head that I can never do it”, he said in frustration.

Every one present from old world agreed. “How about envisioning something like this shooting out of your finger tip and helping you move it”, River heard Destan pitch in and demonstrate. The purple eyed boy pointed his index finger to the stone and every one watched as a transparent thin line of ice shoot towards the object. The ice coiled itself around the stone and Destan lifted his finger up and down, the ice hold extending from his finger tips moved accordingly. It gave the illusion of him moving the small rock using telekinesis.

River smiled at his technique and tried it for himself. He narrowed his eyes on the stone and pointed his finger at it. Every one watched with baited eyes and they themselves did the honour of imagining blue or green or white light shooting towards the stone and moving it but the object never moved.

River sighed then tried using Rumpelstiltskin’s approach on the evil queen’s magic. He remembered his mother said not to rely on anger or fear but they didn’t have time to practice right now. He had to be able to use it during the battle with dragons. He thought of every time he had been angry and his mind recounted it from recent events, the transformation, the attacks, the crazy people then that annoying Elven.

Every one present with him gasped as the stone shot upwards in a speed similar to a bullet in air. “I did it!”, River exclaimed happily. The child in him was ecstatic from finally being able to do this. However, even the sands shot right up all around them, causing it to burn their eyes and go in through their nose.

They stepped back from the place and choked on the sand as they cough it out. “Need target practicing”, Olivia pointed out and River smiled, “Yep”, then he gave a strange look to her, Riley and Brandon. “You all have part of my blood in you, maybe you guys can also do some of this? And Brandon has Zale’s direct blood in him, maybe you could use both our abilities”, he theorised.

“From what I have seen and learn about all of your existence, it could possibly work. For long time we only believed that our own child inherited the ability but in a way you are related to River and me and our ancestors, so maybe you all do have it”, Mira agreed then swam away from everyone.

“Erina has the spine needles on her back, we have your speed but we haven’t made any sparks or moved anything every time we faced problems”, Olivia pointed out. “Yea but we never thought about it to be possible. We only focused on blast, song of madness and speed and strength”, Riley added which made sense to Olivia and River.

Mira came back with orange and pink Crystal necklaces. Olivia took pink while Riley and Brandon took orange. “This amplifies our energy when using ability and Common folks can use it only to communicate”, Mira told them and asked them to follow what she taught River to see if they had any abilities.

Olivia went first and she indeed had inherited a ability but it wasn’t electricity or telekinesis, it was water manipulation. When she hummed a tone that could help her concentrate, water started to revolve around her. It moved as she moved then it disperse when she got too excited and shock. “Holy water! I can do what every other warriors can do”, she chirped.

“No, that’s completely different. No warriors can manipulate water like that. They use vibrations to make it circle and only when more than one joins in that they create whirlpool”, Destan said as he looked at Olivia in surprise. Even Mira looked lost at words on what the ability was, she had never seen anyone manipulate the water into a single strand and move it with hands.

“It seems similar to Destan’s ice ability but instead of freezing it, you can bend and move it at will! Ha! You are water bender!”, River pointed out and referred the title from the animation called, “Avatar”. They looked at Riley and he focused on a melody. After a while he somehow turned the water around him into glass like solid but it wasn’t ice.

He could even turn water into a transparent stick or ball. The new world civilians had no idea what the ability was but River called it shield. It felt solid but it needed to be worked on to make it more stronger like a shield. Then they finally moved to Brandon and he was uncomfortable from the pressure he felt from just looking at every one’s eyes. After a while they found out he could make a shining white ball of hot water. It was mixed of River and Zale’s abilities.

The group of strategist and warriors decided to create crystal shields to go with their spears, so that it could help them block the fire from the Dragons. Wayde also had them create a rotating crystallized spike covered weapon which they could use to tie up the beast with if needed. Of course Zale had acted arrogantly and said it was useless and time consuming.

They both never agreed with each other and continued to bicker. Despite Zale’s remarks, his parents agreed with Wayde’s idea as normal folks could use such weapons to fight and protect themselves. They just needed to worry about their own people first.

When they came out to see River’s progress they were shocked with surprising discovery of other ability users among themselves. Erina also gave it a try and sure enough, she had the ability to create a sparkling long water stick which could cut things and zap others when touched and it could also go soft then turn into rope, like wonder woman’s lasso of truth.

While everyone were busy practicing and learning about new powers, Wayde left the group and swam towards the other side where there was no one. He was feeling out of place before and now he was literally the odd one out in the mills family. All he had was strength and everything other common folks had. He was being challenged for the position of dominant male and his mate now had other two people who had marked him.

Wayde was more than angry, he was raging. He realised every one else could protect themselves with powers and he had been dropped to the bottom of the line. His body didn’t even had the needles or the bony sting on his tail. His fighting moves was all he had but that was clearly nothing when compared with what others had to offer.

“Hey”, he heard a familiar voice and turned to see River swimming towards him. He stuffed his disappointment and anger a bit but it was still noticeable. River already knew what this guy was feeling because he would have himself felt such a way if he was in Wayde’s position. “I want to be alone for a while”, Wayde said without looking at River.

“Really? I thought I would help you get a power but it’s fine if you want to be alone”, River teased then turned to leave but his hand was caught and he was pulled towards the proud beast. Wayde looked at his mate in Surprise after what he heard and gave him a questioning look.

“To be honest, I’m not sure if it works but I have a theory about such powers. We can try if you would like”, River suggested and he saw Wayde think for a while and then give him a small nod. “Drink my blood and let me mark you. I think this marking thing works that way. When you and Riley bit me, I felt strong and when the twins bit me, My powers became strong. I’m just wondering if you have my blood and I bite you, maybe it will unlock your inner power?”, River shrugged.

“I’m not letting you spill a drop of blood but you can bite me if you want”, Wayde said then hugged the boy. He already felt nice after knowing that River thought hard to think of a way to help him. He nibbled on River’s neck where his mark was and sighed happily when the boy shivered. He just needed his mate and his love, he could train hard and improve his fighting skills.

River freed himself from the hug then bit his finger, drawing blood. Then he placed it on Wayde’s lips who looked panicked, concerned and ready to cover the cut with sea weeds. “Please, Just try. No harm done in trying”, River insisted. He knew Wayde inside out and knew the guy was definitely thinking on getting better with what he had but he also knew it would crumble when Wayde saw other’s ability.

Wayde licked the blood on the cut and sensually sucked on River’s finger. The recipient was shivering from being teased. They were both aroused and soon Wayde was sucking hard on the finger as he turned River to the ground, their tails were intertwined and River gasped when he felt a strong and hard spear enter his cherry.

Wayde humped the boy as his bits penetrated River’s cherry. River scratched Wayde’s back as he was pounded and his insides were bullied. They floated in the water as sand flew all around them. Wayde kissed the boy as he moaned and groaned. Their fangs clanked when Wayde started getting aggressive with his humping.

He moved to his mark and sucked on it making River arch his back and shiver. River heard Wayde grunting and felt the increased pace but before he could remind the boy to be careful, Wayde plunged hard inside him then pull out immediately. River groaned by the loss of pain and enjoyment then he bit Wayde on the neck.

Wayde grunted and white fluids oozed out from his weapon and floated all around them. He was shaking in pleasure, they panted and remained intertwined on the ground. They were both licking the mark on each other’s neck as they stayed in tight embrace.
