CROSSING RIVER (B×B×B..) *COMPLETE*

Final Chapter- Here After

The sky had cleared but no one had the strength to leave the place. The Sirens were together on one side, rubbing their crystals. Elves sat with their eyes closed as they meditated to recharge. Fairies and pixies were the only ones who had gone to their own space to freshen up.

All animals had long ran further away from the mountains to save themselves. Finally, the land had dried up and so did the Meras, they quickly grew legs but this time everyone felt the pain because They didn’t have energy in them to not feel the pain during the transformation.

River had scared everyone so he was being squished by all the boys. They were tightly holding on to him, so when he transformed, River saw everyone’s ding dong right in front of his face and he was scarlet red. Warriors were the only one who were strong enough to move around, so they were sent to look for Pegasus. The elves taught them the whistle tune which the creatures responded to.

River kept his eyes occupied with the ashy residue that their tails turned to after shedding. Zale and Destan were situated at the cherry and peach side of River and their eyes were completely focused on River’s thick bubble peach. They had never been in human skin, so their bodies were super white while Riley, Wayde and Brandon skin were tanned.

Riley and Wayde were massaging River’s upper body while Brandon had taken the lower body but all of their eyes were focused on the peach. Erina and Olivia saw how mesmerised the boys were and shook their head but they themselves were checking out Mira who had learned sun bathing from River’s memory. Only Dessa and Kyle were the old ones among the group and they were too tired to even open their eyes.

Zale and Wayde seems to have unspoken Hashing out of their differences while others seems to have grown closer after the life threatening situation. Finally, they heard loud neigh sound from the sky and watched as ten Pegasus dove down. Every one got up on their feet and shared their ride to fit in the remaining people. Ten elves were killed during the fight while only fifteen Meras remained.

The other reason why no one spoke during the waiting period for their rides, was because those who died on both sides were not from the Dragons but because of their hate for each other. Those Meras wanted revenge and killed few elves but also died avenging their lost ones. River couldn’t understand why they were so blinded by that even during such critical situation.

Hence, as peace keeping they offered to help them get back home as the remaining warriors went out and got their rides back. The elves couldn’t retaliate as they were completely drained also if it came to combat, they would definitely lose without their magic. So, they quietly agreed to bury the dead and not look for trouble because once the Meras returned to the sea, the blood promise would come into effect and no harm could be done to one another after that.

Wayde, Riley, River and Zale shared a ride while Destan and Brandon shared one with Kyle and the ladies rode together. River was sat in opposite direction from the Pegasus head and on Zale’s lap just to fit all of them together, he had his head rested on the boy’s neck while he was being gently caressed by the guy on the back. River understood that Zale just needed his attention and if he didn’t get it, the guy would turn rude and be arsehole to others.

“Stop doing that, it tickles”, River spoke on Zale’s neck and the boy shivered. River was being poked by Zale’s hardened member between his thighs. “I’m not doing it on purpose, all this Friction made it grow in size. Just stay still and stop moving”, Zale spoke on River’s neck and the boy chuckled. He was showered with soft kisses, “I thought I was going to die when I didn’t see you and was ready to kill those winged monsters when they just vanished the beast”, Zale softly said and tightened his grip.

River hummed and kissed the boy back, soon neck kisses moved to jaw and then lips. Wayde and Riley groaned as both their members had swollen hard after hearing River moan during kissing. The Meras all arrived at the cliff while the elves stayed behind in the forest. Mills and family guided their rides to fly over the water and soon all of them jumped off their Pegasus.

The Creatures ran over the surface as they flapped their wings and soon took off towards the sky. Many dolphins were finally making their presence known, the sea seemed crowded all of a sudden as all animals seemed to have returned after figuring out the dragons were gone. Hippocampus skipped the water surface together with dolphins and enjoyed the freedom to do so.

The remaining fifteen Meras swam towards the kingdom, only four common folks were left behind this morning including the two hybrids. Now, total of nineteen Siren remained in two kingdoms combined. It would take many years for them to repopulate unless they try to explore the sea and meet others, if there were more Meras in mid hollow.

“Let’s close the barriers first. We had some rest and the cleansing doesn’t need much charging”, River suggested and others thought it was better to get it done first because the winged lady told them about Dark creatures escaping through barriers if left unchecked.
River, Zale and Destan swam to the temple and repeated the process that they performed in Meridia and similarly Huge surge of energy blasted through the big reddish Yellow crystal, enveloping everyone and boosting their inner core. All nineteen of them felt the wave and were energized in a blink of an eye.

Now that everyone was charged and back home, what should they do? They had planned to rest for weeks until their body restored it’s energy but now that wasn’t necessary. “We will be returning to Meridia, it must have already been salvaged by creatures who seems to have returned, now that the threat is gone. We also would be taking the twins with us because River still hasn’t decided on where he stands with them”, Dessa declared.

Zale and Destan looked at their mother in confusion, “We are mated. What do you mean by he hasn’t made decisions?”, Destan asked. Dessa narrowed her eyes at her son, “We still have system! A royal is still a royal! Others may have abilities in them but it wasn’t possible without a royal’s blood. Both of you deserve the title to be dominant mates and since River doesn’t want to let you boys settle with a challenge that just means he doesn’t want you two. Only dominants are given the opportunity to breed, others have to wait forever until they are needed. My sons will not be a mere addition to the group”, she made her point known.

“I really don’t see what that has to do with us, Adults. They are all committed and it’s their conundrum to deal with on their own”, Mira spoke and looked at boys as if asking ‘Am I right?’. The boys nodded which surprised River because he thought they would want to fight it out.

“No! Absolutely not! It’s tradition and no one will change it! If River doesn’t take the twins as dominants then there is no point on following the group. Blood promise was made to let our children be born just for each other but River has done some wicked magic and mated with two creatures. Perhaps we could nullify the blood pact”, Kyle spoke arrogantly.

“You two are just worried of not having any ability users in Meridia”, every one turned their head towards Zale who had been quiet the entire time. “You are worried that Tridia already has six ability users now and with addition of me and Destan, they will have eight while there’s only you two, Erak and Sera in Meridia. Don’t you realize that Tridia will not attack Meridia? Don’t you trust Mira and River?”, he questioned his parents.

Every one realised that the boy was right as the two monarchs fidgeted after their main concern was called out by their own son. “It’s one thing to Trust Mira and her son but we don’t know these strangers. I also personally saw how they fight and all of them combined, what if one day they decide to claim Meridia? Such powers cannot remain under someone else’s leadership”, Dessa said as she looked at River’s old world family.

“We are not going to live by old traditions. I have recognised the flaw in such system. As a leader of Tridia, I here by declare that there will be no title of royals in this kingdom. We are all equal and in the future even a commoner is allowed to mate with my grandchildren and their grandchildren if both sides desires one another. There will no longer be the title of dominants within a mate’s pod, everyone is equal and couples can do as they see fit in their relationships”, Mira made an announcement in Front of warriors and carriers from both kingdoms.

There was loud whispers after the declaration of new system. Dessa gritted her teeth as she watched what remained of her people being lured by Mira’s new tradition. She looked at her sons in disappointment then turned around to her seventeen Meridians, “Stay if you want but don’t ever cross paths with me”, she warned then swam to the group of Sacros.

The twins wanted their parents to not be so old fashioned and accept the changes but they knew their parents were strong believer in old ways as long as it benefits them. They watched as ten Meridians who were also believer of such old traditions, follow their parents while five remained behind. ‘At least his parents still had their hybrids to protect them', Zale thought.
