River’s eyes turned to slits and loud thunder roared from the sky, he looked at his mother and her eyes were doing the same thing as him. Blueish green and yellow lightening struck all around the mountains as heavy rain poured down from the loud sky.
Dragons were breathing fire as they got angry from the thunder and rain, also when their movements were being blocked by the elves. It was miracle when no shifting occurred after the rain but they soon realised that pixies and elderly elves were helping them remain in two legs with their magic.
They all dove to the ground on their rides and got off the creatures. All ability users were standing forefront as they channelled their powers. Zale was extremely happy to see his heat in water turned to fire on land and kept aiming it towards dragon’s eyes under Erina’s orders. He might have also threw some of it towards Wayde but it would have no effect on the guy as he had turned all sparkly hard shell mode.
When they weren’t succeeding on pushing the Dragons further before they managed to turn around and shot fire at them, they knew killing was necessary. Their numbers had increased and one or three kept slipping off the route to the portal.
Olivia’s ability didn’t seem much effective as she could only use the rain water and Riley’s powers only were strong enough to make shields to block blasts from Dragons. Destan turned rain water into Hailstorm which didn’t hurt badly to the strong scales Dragons but it did hindered their flying.
“Colourful print! Lift Wayde towards one of the Dragon and he can kill it with a punch. Be prepared to face it’s angry friends though”, Erina yelled at Haldir who ignored foolishly called name but did as told. River was terrified and tried running towards Wayde but was stopped by Riley. Mira and River were guarded by others as their ability was the most effective towards the dragons.
Wayde was thrown up in the sky and he slammed hard on one Dragon, loud bone cracking sound caused everyone’s spine to tremble as chill ran through them. Both Dragon and Wayde dropped like sac of potatoes and River’s heart tightened when the Dragon stood still while Wayde laid flat.
Before he could Scream, the Dragon dropped dead while Wayde wobbly got up. Zale rushed towards him and dragged him back however he was pushed to the side by the guy and he glared at Wayde only to feel hot fire glide right in front of his face.
Zale’s eyes widened when he realised that Wayde had pushed him off to protect him and the spot they were at had been enveloped in bright yellow and red fire. He dreadfully turned to look at River only to see the boy looking to the left in full concentration. Zale followed his eyes and saw Wayde’s body was moved by River, safe and unharmed.
He quickly ran to River and the boy flayed from exhaustion. When Zale turned River over, a thick red blood dripped down the boy’s nose as his eyes had turned to similar colour. River had used his power to move Wayde at last minute, he didn’t trust Haldir to do it. He wiped the blood and got up with the help of Zale.
Wayde was in no shape to get up, Dragon’s skin seemed much harder than his own but he still managed to kill one. He was pushed further back by Haldir then the guy turned to look at River in concern and curiosity. “Go back, you have exhausted yourself”, Zale told River and tried taking him back but the boy pointed at his mother who had just blasted a lightening and killed another Dragon.
“She can’t do this alone, I have to stay here as back up. You should go help others”, River said then returned to his spot next to his mother as he heaved. The Rumpelstiltskin was never right, using negative emotions did make the ability strong but it also completely messed with your own energy.
He felt his mother’s hand on him and sensed a gust of energy flow in him. He smiled at her then turned to others to see if they needed help. “Riley slam this one down”, Erina instructed and the boy raised his hands up, aiming over the dragon and the water above it’s head connected with one another in a solid state then he forcefully dropped his hands.
A block of transparent glass like mirror slammed at the green dragon’s head and it dropped down a bit down from the impact, Erina nodded at Destan and the boy’s purple eyes glowed. Big chunk of icy stone dropped all around the targeted dragon and it landed on the ground. It then turned towards Destan and took a deep breath in then prepared to snarl in anger.
Erina jumped to it’s side, her lightening rope flung towards the creature’s mouth and tightly closed it shut. The Dragon panicked as the extreme fire in it got stuck inside him and exited through other holes. It couldn’t concentrate on anything as the rope shutting it’s mouth sent current all over it’s body.
Erina turned in circle around the beast and made it drop further on the ground and with Haldir’s help, turned it on it’s back. “Now!”, she yelled and many blades of crystals flew towards the dragon and pierced it’s belly. She retreated her thunder rope and returned to her spot. Three dragons were down but the remaining ones still didn’t try to flee.
If this continued, they would all tire themselves out and will be the dead roasted meats. Riley, Destan and Brandon combined their abilities, glass, ice, hot water pulse and finally managed to knock down one more Dragon . They were completely drained and were pulled back immediately.
River thought of something then quickly yelled, “Olivia, focus on making all the droplet of water to circle all around those remaining dragons up there”, he turned to Haldir and asked, “Can those fairies help with that? Only making the rain fall over those dragons?”, Haldir shook his head, “They can’t control weather like that. We can stop the water from coming down on us and you two can try and do your thing”, he suggested. River turned to his mother and she nodded.
All fifteen pixies focused on covering everyone over a magical umbrella, except the Dragons and when they managed to do it, Haldir yelled, “Do it now! They can’t keep up with this”. Two pair of green eyes brightly glowed as two hands joined together, both of them made joint lightening struck down the group of Dragons at once and everyone’s soul shook to the core when they heard loud screech inside the ball of light.
“Turn that water into scalding hot!”, Erina said to Dessa and Zale. Kyle had been injured by the dragon and was taken back earlier. So, Olivia along with water pixies kept the water circling around the dragons while two pair of mother and son worked with combined force to give there all at the circle. Many elves, fairies and pixies collapsed after giving their all. The sky cleared as fairies dropped on the ground from where they had taken shelter from the rain.
Slowly all wet Sirens started turning back into their original form since the elves and pixies could no longer support them with their magic. If it wasn’t raining the little bit of forest on the mountain would have burnt out. The ball of scalding blue , yellow and green water dispersed with a swoosh and heavy fog covered everyone.
Mills family and friends were all back in their original form and laid flat on the ground panting heavily. Haldir and his sister were the only ones left from elves who still stood but they were no different. They dropped to their knees and heaved slowly. When the fog was lifted, they all panicked when only two Dragons were scalded, burned and dead.
Loud screech came from high up in the sky and four large creatures with a bit of burned skin slowly peeling off their body dove towards the frontrunner Mira, River, Erina, Olivia, Dessa and Zale. It was unfortunate that hybrids couldn’t come out of water, perhaps they could have helped but they had no one left and had no legs to run. All the boys who were dragged back, screamed for their families.
Haldir dragged, Erina, Olivia and Dessa using telekinesis while Calen used roots and branches to bring Mira, Zale and River back. The first batch were easily brought back while the others were being dragged, the dragons spat fire at the two siblings, so Haldir had to use his last strain of energy on protecting himself and his sister which left River, Mira and Zale stuck in the middle.
Zale and Mira hissed and threw lightening mixed with fire at the two Dragons but River saw the other two aim their fire at them. He quickly waved his hand and pushed Mira and Zale back with others as he also used his other hand to make the two Dragon’s heads face each other. They burned their already melting skin and screeched with their last breaths as they fell to the ground.
Now finally it was two Dragons and one River. The beats crossed each other in an X shaped ways as one flew from the front and other from the back while they dove down towards River. They were both trying to keep distance as they flew towards their prey and they were both ready to kill.
River’s vision was getting heavier as he panted while trying to look at the two beasts flying towards him and that’s when an idea struck him. The conscious people behind him screamed and threw their remaining bit of energy at the two Dragons but nothing worked.
River’s hair flowed, pupil’s turned into slits, his spine needles spread out, his sting hardened and bluish green lights circled all around him. Erina, Olivia, Mira, Zale, Destan, Riley, Brandon and Wayde looked at River in horror. River slammed his hands on the ground and he shot up into the sky, the place he was at seconds ago, burned crisped by hot flames that came from two sides.
Both dragons quickly steadied themselves before they collided with one another then shot straight up towards River whose eyes were bright green with red blood dripping out from the corner of his eyes, nose and ears. He had exerted all his strength on himself using telekinesis to jump off the ground. He was now free falling from the sky towards two dragons. River released a heavy breath and pointed his fingers at one of the dragons, lightening struck down and blasted the dragon’s head.
Big chunks of meat rained down on the people and they all stared up in fear, astonishment and worry. Mills family tried using their powers together at the last Dragon but nothing came out of them, even River had gone empty. He watched as the beasts opened it’s mouth wide, filled with long and sharp rows of pointy teeth. “This was how my journey started and this is how it seems to end, It’s a full circle”, he mumbled as blood dripped out of his mouth.
The sun shone brightly at everyone who was watching from below, they watched in complete horror as a large shadow got closer to the quickly falling small shadow with it’s huge mouth wide open. River watched the mouth opening further wide around his body, he closed his eyes and felt his body being held in a tight hold. Mills family and friends screamed as the beasts turned around and River’s body wasn’t falling anymore and it wasn’t anywhere in the sky. The sun was shining brightly over them so they couldn’t see anything other than shadows and now only Dragon remained in the sky.
Dark clouds soon gathered and covered the sun as the Meras cried and screamed in agony. Waves were restless, wind howled frighteningly. They watched with glossy eyes as many huge bird like creatures fell from the sky and use bright orange/Red coloured patterns all around the Dragon, vanishing it on the spot. They all dove towards the Creatures on the ground and only did the mid hollow occupants noticed how brightly the bird beings shined in their white feathered wings.
They looked like white versions of maleficent, similar striped clothing just enough to cover their bits both up and down. They were browned clothed, white horns and white feathered wings. There were five of them and all of them waved their hands at the creatures below them. Everyone felt as huge energy surged into their body, refreshing them enough to stand up but their magic needed days before it could be used.
Fairies and pixies quickly flew towards them and bowed as, “Thank you”. The winged creatures looked very high and mighty, they didn’t stop flapping their wings as they remained mid air, not touching the ground. “Who killed these Creatures?”, a lady who seemed like the leader of the group spoke.
“We did since sky people let their pets loose in mid hollow”, Haldir said without any trace of fear. The woman raised her brow, “You Creatures took on ten Dragons at once and killed nine of them?”, she asked as if it was ridiculous. “Ten were just the number for today, we have slayed many before that with our lives, of course but today we stand alive and they are dead”, Calen also spoke.
“Your magic is useless on Dragons. You all could maybe manage to kill one in one week but all nine at once is impossible! You must have dark fey hidden in mid hollow to assist you”, said a proud looking boy around nineteen years of age. The woman ignored every one and looked at the separate group of Sirens who were huddled together. She noticed grief and disbelief all around them.
“You all killed those dragons”, she said as a matter of fact and other four fey behind her looked at creatures with fish tails on the ground. None of them agreed or denied then the lady continued, “You also changed the Weather with grief and pain, caused that blinding lightening and restless waves. Beings with such abilities should exist in higher realms, I will allow you passage to Fey realm, if you want”, she offered them.
“Thanks but this is our home and we would like to return to the sea”, came a voice from behind everyone. Mills family and friends along with the elven siblings recognised that voice and snapped their heads to see River flying down. They blinked many times as they watched River who was still a Siren but with brown feathered wings and silver horns glide towards them.
They all gasped when River’s body dropped to the ground and two loud groans were heard, one from the ground and the other from a winged creature who hovered mid air over River. They glanced up to see a young gorgeous boy with curly brown hair, bright silver eyes and dark brown wings who was also in dark brown garments, stretched his body and cracked his back. He then glided close to the ground and landed smoothly, he was bare foot.
His body was extremely white and his hands had turned pink from carrying River, also when his feet landed on the ground, it turned reddish pink. He smiled brightly, captivating everyone. “Whoa! This place is crazy! So many colours and creatures all at one place!”, he spoke in amusement and with brimming curiosity.
“Ignore him, he seems to be on something, caffeine perhaps?”, they all looked down at River who was dusting himself. Mills family and friends smiled and all spoke at once, completely ignoring the existence of other worldly creatures. River smiled at them then explained, “He saved me, I thought I was a goner but he just flashed out of nowhere and whoosh we were gone from the spot. Then he transferred some energy into me and here I am after hearing him babble on and on about how excited he was to see this realm”.
Every one honestly showed their gratitude towards the boy who chuckled, “You guys are so weird! I mean that in nicest way possible. I don’t think that’s the word”, he mused them snapped his fingers, “Cool! You all are so cool!”, he smiled then cooed at pixies and fairies. River scoffed at the boy’s attention span and finally glanced at other beings.
“Adriel! Come back here!”, the lady ordered and the boy sighed but still followed. He flapped his wings and flew towards the group of winged beings. The lady narrowed her eyes at him but it still softened to some degree then she turned to the residents of mid hollow, “If that is your decision then so be it. Fix the portals in this realm. We have closed ours long time ago, there was a tear in our realm and we just recently discovered it. Many dark creatures from other dimensions will lurk through if it is not closed properly, so close the gates permanently if you all wish to survive”, she ordered then flew away with the group.
Adriel turned around and waved everyone a good bye, he smiled at River and the green eyed boy could swear that he saw a green light flash in Adriel’s eyes before they all vanished through a circular bright ring, Doctor Strange style.
