Terra leaned against the wall and glanced at the bodies which were laying on the ground with their eyes closed, peaceful faces on all of them. Her leg was killing her but she wouldn't let it slow her down, she knows that she needed to look at it though. Slowly Terra allowed herself to sit down and she stretched her legs out, rolling her pant leg up, the sight of metal shone through. A shallow breath left her mouth as her hands came to rest on the "bandage", her fingers opened it causing the sound of metal scraping against metal to wake Tan up.
Tan sat up without sound and his eyes watched Terra with curious yet saddened eyes. "You okay?" She jumped and her eyes quickly moved to the boy, "Yes. Just wanted to check up on my leg." The voice that came out seemed strong but the look of fear in her eyes made Tan move over to her.
Terra let the metal fall to the sand allowing the vision of her long scar. Tan took in a breath, sitting down in front of her, "That's a pretty big scar." She shrugged, "It's alright." They said nothing after that just staring awkwardly at her injured skin.
"Does it hurt?" Tan asked in a whisper but Terra heard, "Just a bit sensitive. I'll be okay." Her small hands came to grab the metal off the ground and wrapped the sheet back around her leg. "You don't have to act strong in front of me Terra." They locked eyes, "Mary told us what she saw." Terra sighed and rolled her eyes, "Stop."
He shut his mouth, "This isn't the right time to talk about this." He nodded and moved to sit next to her. Terra let her head lean back, "What was that?" Tan sat up alert as his ears pricked up.
Terra's body went tense noticing this, "What's wrong?" She asked, her voice a bit demanding. "There's something moving outside, sounds large." He stood up quietly, his eyes moving around erratically.
A soft growl pushed Terra to follow Tan's lead and she grabbed his arm, "I think I know what it is." She spoke lowly and Tan looked down at her. "What is it?" Terra clutched his arm, "Wake everyone up." She pushed him towards the bodies.
"It's a Creason." Her eyes wide with terror. Tan had no idea of what Terra was talking about but followed what she had said he do. "Wake up." He said shaking Conner up first before going to the others. "Conner, quickly you need to find someplace to go." Terra commanded, panic slipping out of her voice. "What?" Conner furrowed his brows, sleep still consuming his features. "What's going on?" Ivy asked rubbing her eyes and standing to her feet, the others slowly also got up to stand. Terra was scared and couldn't help the outburst, "Conner hurry up and do what I said!" Everyone flinched back at the scream. A loud roar filled the air and Terra's body shook.
"What was that?" Mary asked shakily. "We're being hunted." Terra whispered but Conner heard it and was quick to disappear. Claws scraped against the metal before a large body threw itself into the metal. Terra fell to the ground as screeches of pain overthrew their breathing. "Terra." Ivy whispered with fear and Terra slowly got up, "It's okay, they can't touch metal." Another bang, "Doesn't mean that it would stop them though." Terra felt a breath near her head, "I found a building, not far from here." She nodded turning to Conner, "Okay. Take everyone else first, come back for me last." Sylvester rushed to Conner, "Let's go." Conner and Terra stared silently at each other. "It'll draw them off our scent. Go." She nudged his arms and he sighed but nodded. Conner took his fathers hand, "Hold each others hands." Everyone came into a circle and took their hands into each others.
After a couple seconds Terra looked back making sure that they were all in fact gone but her heart fell when saw Tan leaning against one side of the wall. "So what's the plan?" He asked crossing his arms.
Terra placed a hand on her forehead, "Why didn't you-" She was cut off by one of the metal sheets collapsing inwards and Tan was quick to come stand in front of her protectively. A large monster like dog stood in front of them, drool seeping down it's jaw and landing on the sand. "I'll distract him." Before Terra could say anything Tan growled loudly and his body shifted, he fell to his hands and a large wolf was now in front of her, facing off the other beast.
The wolf growled loudly once more before running off and the monstrous dog leapt off after him.
Terra stood in shock but recovered with haste and with a battle cry ran off after them, her hand lifted and the metal that fell to the ground lifted into the air, transforming itself into a spear, she closed her hand and it wrapped around the weapon. Tan turned around and the creature was now showing it's side to her which she took as an opportunity, her feet hit the sand faster. When she was close to it the dog turned to face her which caught her off guard, the beasts teeth were close to snapping her in half when Tan through his body into the hound. Terra jumped and flipped through the air, her face close to it's teeth before she landed on the other side, a piece of her falling out of her ponytail.
She turned her head and saw the two dogs fighting, claws and teeth clashing before she came to her senses. Terra grabbed the spear which was laying on the ground and ran towards the fight, jumping into the air and bringing the spear down. It lodged into the dog as it screamed, it's body burning from the inside, "Go back to hell!" Terra growled before it burst into flames.
