Tan couldn't believe his ears, he felt his heart hit his stomach, "What?" Ryan asked, his face showing how he was feeling, pain and regret. "It can't be true." He shook his head and turned his back to them.
Terra sighed, "It is true. Your experiment never worked." Conner looked over at Terra and he felt a new admiration towards her, she warned him about it. She tried to stop his father by giving him information, it didn't stop his decision but he appreciated it none the less.
Ryan wasn't sure what to think, the whole reason why he allowed the government to take it all was because he thought Terra was a success. Now he is finding out that he didn't accomplish anything but he just delayed the inevitable.
Ivy bit her lip, "How long have you known?" Ryan snapped out of his turmoil, "What?" "How long have you known it wouldn't work?" She asked. Nora's eyes widened as something dawned on her.
"There is no point in lying when you two have gone through my notes." Ryan snarled and started walking out the area, "Follow me." The group looked at one another before doing what he said, "The liquid was created from two things, Algorosetic Chloride and Pixalte."
"I created Pixalte but as you now all know the other substance is from a bomb. They use the chemical to cause an explosion. Basically the bomb will only explode because of it." Ryan pushed open a door, a large table in the middle of the new room. "When the two are mixed together it creates a new medium." He motioned towards the table and the group took it as a sign to sit on the chairs surrounding the structure. "A substitute for radiation." Ryan finished.
Terra sighed and placed her elbows on the table, "So what is the Pixalte for?" Nora looked at Terra and noticed Tan had placed his arm over the back of her chair, a look of concern on his face. "We'll get into that later. " He shrugged off the question and instead started a new topic, "I need to see how it effected your brain, because if what you're saying is true, we need proof." Mary furrowed her brows but said nothing.
He just found out his daughter is dying and he wants to know why his experiment didn't work, not how to safe her. "What are you going to do to help her?" Conner spoke for everyone in the chairs, his eyes trained on Ryan. The said man sighed, "There is nothing I could do here." He went round the table to sit at the head of the furniture, "If we want to help her. I need to get to the government."
Mary watched the man intently, "Are they going to allow us?" She asked, "We don't want any problems." Ryan hummed looking up, thinking. "They don't trust anyone that isn't within their circle." Sylvester spoke for the first time, "Terra revealed that you are working with them."
Ally looked at Terra, "I haven't been in contact with them for a year." "Terra has been on the run for a year. So I can vouch for Ryan." Ally agreed. Nora rubbed her temple, "You haven't notified them that Terra is here, have you?" That question caused a silent stir to run through the room.
"No." Everyone let out a breath when Ryan answered a few seconds later. "I think they don't trust me anymore, I haven't informed them of anything in quite some time." Tan couldn't understand one thing, "How do you contact them?" Ryan crossed his arms.
"Not all power lines are off as they made people believe." Nora intervened, "What he means is, they have secured certain power lines that are still standing." Sylvester nodded slowly, deep in thought. The look on Ryan's face made Conner suspicious, he was hiding something, "What aren't you telling us?" Mary glanced at Conner and noticed he did a slight nod. With that movement the purple eyed girl turned her full attention to the head of the table.
She allowed her mind to go into his and her eyes narrowed. The things she was seeing caused goosebumps to appear on her body, a slight chill ran through her spine. "You know what happened." Mary's voice caught everyone off guard. Screams and destruction flashed behind Mary's pupils, "You know why the bombs were created."
Ryan stared at her with shock on his face and an open mouth, "Interesting." He murmured, completely ignoring what she had revealed. "You are a mind reader." He smiled. The raven haired man leaned back in his chair, arms still crossed, "Please. Go ahead and tell me what you think you know."
