The silence was deafening as eyes traveled between the father and daughter. Conner cleared his throat, being the first to make any movement, "When is the meeting?" Ryan didn't give any indication that he had heard him, his head still occupied by accidents. Nora which was right by his side decided to nudge him and that slight movement seemed to pause his flickering thoughts.

"Ah yes?" Ryan questioned, his eyes moving up to look at the green eyed male, "When will the meeting be taking place?" It was the man's father who repeated the question, Sylvester. "In a days time." The answer came out slowly, he stare accurate but not focused. Terra tilted her head to the side, her gaze unwavering from the target, "I just need to sort out some papers and run some final tests before we leave."

"More tests? I thought you already got what you needed." Nora's soothing voice created a sense of comfort that everyone seemed to have needed at the moment. Ryan hummed and brought his attention down to the table, Mary tightened her mind's focus to stay on the man, trying to get into his head. "I do have what I need but there has been new information that has come to light. The information has to be recorded."

"Is it about Terra's health?" The question was asked in hope that the man would confess the true reason for the delay. The raven haired scientist though didn't acknowledge Tan's assumption, confirming to all in the room that it did have something to do with the female.

Terra cleared her throat, "If there is something which you have found out about my situation, I have the right to know what it is." Ally glanced at the girl with a slight smile, she had grown up well. Their past together was a difficult one, always forced to fight each other to test their powers. That was the whole purpose of Ally being there, taken in by Ryan for the development of his own daughters strengths.

Ally was glad they decided to leave the past behind them and come together to save the future, only together would they have a chance to succeed. Coming back to the present, the storm manipulator looked back to Nora who began to speak once more. "Ryan remember what I told you." Ryan felt his hands shake and quietly clasped them together on his lap, "Things can change."

Those words gave him a false sense of hope, he knew things weren't going to change but he pretends to believe. It's too late, he wanted to say out loud but due to his state, couldn't seem to open his mouth. Terra now sick and tired of his antics slammed her hand on the table, "TELL ME!" Her loud command made everyone jump in their seats. "You're sick!" Ryan shouted back, his hands no longer shaking and on top his legs.

Terra's face fell in disbelief, "I'm what..." She breathed, Mary bit her lip as she tried to hide herself. "You have the disease Terra." Ryan looked at her, water shimmering in his eyes. Nora couldn't contain her emotions and ended bursting out in tears, the cries causing her to fall to her knees. "No, no, no." She sobbed in pain.

"How long have you known she was sick?" Sylvester asked, the fatherly side of him coming out without control. It had been a tricky road between him and Terra. But after she stopped him from making the second worst decision he could've possibly made and he found out how badly she was treated, he took it open himself to try being a fatherly figure to her even if she didn't notice it.

Ryan cleared his throat, trying his best to ignore the heartbroken elder on the ground by his chair, "When she was born, her vitals were not as a new babies should be and she looked ill. My wife had the virus and so therefore we came to the conclusion quickly that Terra had it too. Terra lived long because of the treatments I had given her since she was a baby but unfortunately my wife wasn't as strong."

Ivy turned her head to look at Terra, "She was around twelve years when I saw the sickness get worse and I decided to inject her with the cure. The cure worked, obviously it did because she is sitting right here in this room and once I saw how well her body reacted to it, I assumed that her body had deleted the bug."

"But I was wrong." Terra lowered her head as a pang of fear hit her, "The cure only slowed the process of the parasite and taking a look at her papers from the tests we conducted, it is no longer frozen." Tan let out a deep sigh and brought his head down into the palm of his hands, "How long?" Ivy asked.

The silence returned for a couple of seconds and Nora calmed herself down enough to glare up the scientist, her lips quivering. "I don't know."

Terra swallowed a whimper from escaping her body, sensing everyone's eyes on her and feeling their sympathy she decided it was enough. "Alright enough." Her voice was strong as she announced, "There's no point wallowing over something we cannot control." Conner let a sad smile graze his features, that was the moment Terra gained his respect. She was obviously afraid about her own fate but instead of hiding in the corner she knew what was more important.

"We cannot prevent my death but we can prevent the death of all those people trapped within that prison. So suck in your tears everyone." She teased, taking a glance at Ally who let out a tiny smile. Mary never felt as bad as she did right now, Terra wasn't a dangerous person like she had thought that she was. Terra was strong, brave and fearless.

The aura she gave out demanded respect even if she herself didn't realize it, she had just gained seven loyal followers...no seven loyal friends.

"We have one mission, to save those people. So let's get ready." She stood tall, shoulders back and head high. A glint of power bouncing off her eyes.
