Ryan bit his lip as he stared down into the bubbled abyss of the liquid, "Why were you giving my daughter the virus, Scarlett?" Scarlett, which was sat next to him, looking around the room of whispers, faced him. "This whole process was to make sure if the virus somehow came back to earth we would have some means of fighting it. You know that Ryan." He shook his head, "This was wrong, everything that we did was wrong."
Scarlett sighed, "We can't take back what we have done," She leaned her body back into the chair, "And right now, we may have a chance of righting the future. Let's not screw it up." "You didn't answer my question." He chose to ignore the words of pity and shame, he no longer cared for games. No longer gives thought to this virus.
The group of teenage friends were huddled together along with Ambrose, coming up with a plan to get Terra to her knees and so far they seemed to have come up with nothing. "I did it because I wanted to see if we could make it Ryan." Ryan lowered his head as his fingers huddled closer to the injection.
"Four adults in this room and we're dying," She nodded towards his hand, "That man, Sylvester. Will probably live for a month, at least. Zion, a few years, maybe three and myself..." Ryan closed his eyes, "That cure will be given to your daughter and I somehow wish that she kills us, it will be a mercy to what we'll endure."
A shrill scream pierced the air and all the occupants within the room stopped breathing. "Nora?" Ryan asked breathlessly, standing up slowly. "Come out, come out wherever you are Zion!" Conner moved quicker than the adults, immediately giving out orders and placing his friends into their positions, "Ivy, protect the adults. Mary, you stay here with Ivy, try to get into Terra's head and Zack shield them all."
Once Conner was done with those instructions he walked over to the door, "Ambrose I'm going to need a weapon." Ambrose sick of being commanded rolled his eyes, "Any weapons you prefer, your highness?" He asked sarcastically and Tan glared dangerously at the male, "Watch your tone, we're helping you protect your father but we can leave you both here to die."
Ambrose turned to Conner with a scowl, "Are you insinuating that I won't be able to keep my dad alive?" Tan smirked, "I'm glad you understand." Ambrose swore, raising his foot to move towards Tan but Conner groaned in annoyance. "Stop it, Tan, this isn't the time."
The brown-haired male nodded to Ivy and she complied, ushering the adults into the centre of the room. Mary and Zack stood next to her in front of the desk while the four adults stayed behind it.
"I'll go out first," Ally volunteered, "Terra doesn't enjoy lightning, maybe it will throw her off, just a bit." Nobody stopped her as she walked closer to the door, closer to the threat. Terra having enough of this waiting game those inside were playing, shouted out another threat, "Does nobody care about this sweet old lady?" Terra clicked her tongue in mock disappointment, "It's not like I wanted to do this but it looks like I-"
Ally opened the doors, cutting Terra off in the middle of her sentence. A fake beaming smile arose on the raven-haired girl's lips, her grip around the one named Nora tightening. "Terra." Ally announced, carefully looking behind her, eyes locking with Conner who gave her an encouraging nod.
Nora struggled and Terra hissed, "If you don't stop moving I'll slice every single piece of your body before you take your next breath." That sentence was enough to make the elderly woman turn as white as a ghost and as still as a rock. "We can settle this without the threats, Terra. Just let her go and we can talk." Ally bargained.
"I don't want to talk. As far as I remember all the people that I have decided to give my time to lied and used me. Over and over again. I'm done with all the chitter-chatter. Bring me the president right now and maybe she can live." Terra glanced down to Nora.
The old woman knew that was a lie, when she saw what the young female did to that male earlier she realized that the little girl she raised was no longer there. Ally slowly lifted her palms and allowed the sparks to crawl through her veins, hoping that it would throw Terra off.
"Terra, please this isn't who you are?" A soft voice entered Terra's head, "Who was that?" She asked with narrowed eyes, "Someone's talking to me in my head." Ally nodded, "Mary. That's Mary, you know her. You know all of us, Terra. We're your friends."
A chuckle escaped her, "My friends?" It was at that moment that the group noticed Terra's eyes were both grey," Okay, I think this has been drawled on long enough. I know he's in there and if he doesn't want to come out, I'll just have to kill all of you."
Nora gasped, her mouth falling open in pain and surprise. Her knees went weak and Terra pushed her body making her land face first in between them. Blood puddled around her body as Terra stared Ally down, "Well, let's get this party started, shall we?"
