A groan of boredom left a pair of ruby lips, with her back against the cold tiled floor her eyes peeked at the glass walls. On her walk to the new holding place, several men were escorting barely walking people, the sight made her internally cringe. She said nothing of the image and kept her behaviour in check, "How long am I going to be sitting here?" She asked herself as she sat up, glaring at the outside of her cage.

Growls of Creasons and other animals Terra knew not of just made her even angrier, "Can you shut up?!" She shouted and got gnashing of teeth as an answer making her shake her head. Chatter and footsteps caused her ears to perk up, and she crawled to the edge of the glass. "Quiet down!" A husky woman voice shattered through the area before the sound of something clinking against bars.

With her head tilted, Terra caught sight of a blonde woman in a white lab coat. "Ah, you must be Terra." The newcomer announced as her gaze travelled over to the new caged exhibit. "Am I going to be tested on now? I've been sitting here for hours." The raven-haired girl clicked her tongue and sat back on her knees.

A scowl that couldn't be hidden placed its self on the woman's face, "Wait..." Terra mumbled, "I think I know you." Pictures started to develop in her head.

"Ryan don't you think we should stop this, every person we gave it to has died." The blonde woman tried to convince the male who sat proudly in his chair. "A few casualties for the greater good, you know about that Scarlett, you are after all a scientist." Her head fell, "We have a chance to change that."

"Dad!" A young Terra squeaked as she ran into the room, halting the serious conversation. A red face Nora stumbled in after her, "I am so sorry! Terra come back here." She scolded the girl but with a shake of her head and a pout, the girl hurried to her father. Ryan smiled down at his daughter, "As a scientist, it is our job to preserve the future." He voiced out as he lifted his daughter onto his lap, "But as a father, it is my duty to preserve her future."

Big brown eyes turned from her father to the blonde woman and a smile blossomed.

Laughter boomed out from Terra, "You have got to be kidding me!" Scarlett's face heated up and she quickly turned around, facing a panel of buttons. "I don't know what you are talking about." Her sentence came out rushed. Her fingers brushed over the buttons as sweat slowly started to trail down her neck. "You were that one lady who thought that the cure wouldn't work."

"Well look at where we are," Terra smirked, "Does Ryan know that you are working here and not a prisoner?" Scarlett cleared her throat and her finger pressed down on the panel, "Okay, let's get started." Blonde hair twirled as she did and her eyes watched the glass carefully descend, opening the cage.

Terra stood to her feet, her right lip still tugged up in amusement at the unexpected situation. "First thing's first, we need to do blood tests." Scarlett cleared her throat, "Follow me." She leads the way down the aisle, monsters on each side of them. "How long have you guys been testing animals?" Terra asked as her eyes gazed around her.

A Creason snapped its jaws at her and she lifted her hand, a small dagger appearing in it. The creature growled before stepping away and Terra glared at it, flicking her wrist and the weapon disappeared before the lab rat noticed. "A few years. All of these animals are a mix of different species from the previous world. If you look to your left the one we are passing is a mix of a snake and eagle. Body of the snake but face of an eagle, it has also adapted the wings, allowing it to glide in the air for a few seconds."

Terra studied that direction, "Why have I only seen Creasons outside?" Scarlett quickened her pace, "After extensive research and exploring, we found that there are different areas, different environments. Creasons as you call them are locals in this area." The blonde pointed at the cage next to them which held the thing they spoke of, " We call them BW, they are a mix of bear and wolf, the second-most dangerous monster we've discovered."

"Second?" "It's found at marker 30, The Salt Land. SH, a cross of a hippo and salt crocodile, so far we have only been able to see one of them. Capturing it has proven to be extremely difficult, so we decided to leave it there. We know nothing about it and therefore it is determined to be very dangerous."

"Ah, here we are," Scarlett spoke as she pushed open a door, people in white coats filled the room, some buried over tables and others chatting. "We need blood samples." At the sound of their boss, everyone turned to the door, those that were slacking off rushed to their stations. Terra wondered if she had to be dreaming, "There are so many people here."

"You don't know him as I do. No one does." Terra's eyes widened in surprise, "What does that mean?" The raven-haired girl asked and stared at the woman with curiosity. Scarlett ignored the question and motioned towards the back of the room, where a white chair sat lonely in the corner.

"Go have a seat, they will be with you shortly." After the instruction was given, Scarlett took off to speak to some of her coworkers and after some thinking on her own, Terra understood what the woman had meant. A smirk came upon a pale face as she decided to do what she was told.

"I think I finally understand how you got this job, Scarlett," Terra announced loudly, falling onto the chair. All those in the room turned to the girl, "It looks like the president has a new girlfriend." A couple of eyes went back to their employer in shock, "Oh wait, my apologies. I meant pawn."
