"Get your hands off me!" Terra hissed and with a final push, the adults were sent flying across the room. Groans from the impact didn't face the dark-haired girl as she stood up. She turned around and stared at the man clutching his head in agony, "Pathetic." Her foot came in contact with his chest, sending him sliding to the young adults.
Conner lifted his foot, stopping Ryan from making contact with him as the two stared each other down. When they first met swirled through Conner, they've come a long way from their first interaction, learning to respect one another and make decisions together. Now it seemed like all of that was a waste because here they were waiting for the other to make their move.
The two broke eye contact for a second as Terra took notice of a needle filled with a yellow liquid. "No-" Zack gulped, shutting his mouth once Terra glared up at him. A deadly smirk rose to her lips before she brought her heel down on the object crushing it slowly. Tiny shards of glass scattered under her shoe as a puddle formed beneath the leather.
"Oops." Terra's hands flew to her mouth in mock apology before she scoffed and lowered them. She tilted her head as her finger lifted and the door slammed shut. Zion crawled back as the grey-eyed "villain" kept advancing and eventually he was forced to stop retreating. Scarlett was the quickest between her and Sylvester, immediately trying to get the door open as silently as she could.
Outside Ambrose was first to run at the door and with his body try to break it down, "Help me!" He shouted angrily back to the group who seemed to finally snap out of the daze they were in, going to do as the blonde commanded. "She's got Zion cornered." Mary filled her companions in, her body still where she stood, her eyes glazed over.
"Dad! Terra, if you hurt him I'm going to kill you!" Terra smirked as soon as she heard the threat, "I'm sure you would." She mumbled and bent her knees, "You don't have to do this Terra. As soon as you allow us to give you the injection, you and your friends can leave, I'll never bother any of you again."
"Do you give me your word, that you'll leave all survivors you happen to come across during your research on this planet alone?" The way she asked the question sent a wave of relief to Zion, in his mind it seemed like she was thinking it over.
"Yes!" He nodded his head so fast, it almost looked like a blur, "Just let me go." Scarlett carefully got to her knees, her hand reaching for the bronze handle as her eyes kept going over to Terra.
Terra hummed, closing her eyes as she rolled her head, easing the tension in her neck, "I could do that," Sylvester rushed Scarlett causing the woman to panic and her hand slipped off the handle, "But someone will still have to die, or else the whole point of this would have been for nothing. All those bodies within your mansion gave their lives for nothing and that doesn't sit right with me, somehow," Her brows lowered in confusion at her own sentence.
"So I'm giving you a choice. Choose, you or your son." Sylvester right away after being given the ultimatum would have killed himself for his son but Zion being the selfish ruler that he was, was hesitating. "I-Uhm." He couldn't answer, making Terra's pleasure for death grow. This was exciting.
Scarlett bit her lip and reached for the rusted handle once again, except this time she could feel a slight push to her trembling limb. This gave her ambition to achieve the main aim that they were all scavenging for, freedom. Freedom from the rule of a controlling and self-centred male who only gave a thought of himself. The blonde woman took another studying glance behind her at the man she has deep emotions for. He was still pondering over whether he or his son would die. It made her sick.
Mary's face shone, she was astounded by what was occurring within the office, the compromise that Terra had just made, made her heart quicken in unease and impatience. "You need to hurry up, she just offered him a deal." Ally wasn't sure what to think, she freaked out earlier and still was upset with herself. She didn't know what happened, she had never been like that, never made a mistake that big. Maybe the effect Terra had on her was greater than she realized, the ink haired girl truly made an impact on all of them. They only just began to notice now when they had to choose between killing and saving her.
Conner grunted, shoving his shoulder harder into the entrance as he spoke to Mary, "What do you mean? What deal?" Mary watched the event taking place through the eyes of another, "She gave him a choice at being let go but someone has to die. The thought of all those people being killed for no reason doesn't seem right to her and therefore she gave him a chance to pick between himself," The mind reader lifted her closed-off face to stare inattentively at Ambrose.
, "Or you." Ambrose's breath hitched, shaking in outrage before he threw his body into the door with a whole new passion.
