Ambrose walked confidently towards his father's office, the question he was ready to ask floating in his head. The other day he was trailing down the halls when he overheard talk amongst the scientists, people were coming here to stay.

The thought that there was any chance of humans being outside this establishment never crossed his mind and he couldn't deny the fact he was curious about what they looked like. Did they also have powers and where they deformed cause of the radiation his father had told him so much about?

Either way, he was excited about meeting them and hoped his father would allow him the chance. "Sir?" Ambrose questioned once he finally made it to his destination and knocked on the door. "Enter." At the sound of the president's voice, he pushed open the door and wandered in.

His father was sat in his chair facing away from the door and didn't bother turning back around to face his son's presence, "What do you want?" Zion had asked but his voice was uninterested, "I heard talk that people are coming, is it true?" At the final words which Ambrose spoke, Zion finally turned to look at his blood.

"You've been eavesdropping haven't you?" Zion's eyes changed red in anger, "N-no." The young blonde male stuttered shaking his head, "A few scientists walked by me and were discussing a woman. They said they needed to get the cage ready as soon as they can."

Ambrose studied his father's face, trying to see if he could find out something but due to the stoic emotion he didn't, "Yes people are coming to stay here but you Ambrose are not permitted to go anywhere near them and they are not to know you exist."

"Why not?" The look that his father sent his way froze him to the invisible square on the ground, "I mean I know how to control my ability now, if anything goes wrong you need me here next to you, just as a precaution."

Zion burst out laughing and Ambrose looked down, "You know how to control your powers? Please don't make a bigger fool of yourself than you are doing right now." His chair screeched back as he got up, "Go back to your room and stay there, the guards will be by your door so don't even think of trying to come out"

Ambrose bit his tongue from arguing with his father's rule, he hated being locked up in this place. All he wanted to do was go outside and see the world, even though his father informed him of its condition. It was especially hard for him to keep his composure when he was told to stay in his room, at least he could walk around this place but in his room, all he could do is sit.

Knocks made both the men jump and their heads quickly looked at the new figure, "Sir, the preparations for the guests are done but we need your opinion downstairs." The secretary told her superior.

Zion groaned in annoyance and nodded his head, "What do they want now?" He asked in exasperation. "It involves the bug." Ambrose's lips twitched up at the side in confusion and curiosity, "Bug?" He whispered as he watched his father carry himself to the exit.

"Maria make sure that Ambrose makes it to his room and guards are stationed outside." She nodded and push her gold-rimmed glasses further up her nose. Maria stepped over to the side as Zion trotted out the door.

"Ambrose come." Maria called him and his eyes drew to her, "What did you mean bug?" Ambrose interrogated her as soon as his father left his eyesight but Maria pretended not to hear him and held out her hand, motioning to the door.

"Come on, Maria. You know that if you're not going to tell me I'm just going to find out on my own and you don't want my father to know that you weren't doing your job." Ambrose's eyebrows raised as a mischievous smile lit up his face.

Maria glared at him before rolling her eyes which caused the male's smile to widen at her sudden falter at composure, "Ambrose don't make this more difficult than it has to be. Please just go to your room."

Ambrose's face fell and he scoffed in frustration, "Don't act surprised when you find me looking for answers." A soft and sympathetic look was sent back his way, "You just have to make sure I don't see you then." Maria nodded at Ambrose before letting her hand fall back to her side and turned towards the exit, walking out.

With lit-up eyes and a new bounce to his step, he waited till the door closed before glancing at his father's desk. His feet came off the ground quickly and he raced to the location, the drawers clattered opened causing his eyes to look up, making sure no one was coming.

His hands rummaged through the papers, sliding them back and lifting them to see if he could spot anything of interest. After a few more seconds of turning notes over he finally found one, "Terra Solmen." He mumbled.

Ambrose stood up straight and with another check of the door, opened the folder. What his eyes read, caused a shiver to pass through him. The feeling that covered him couldn't be stopped, hate, self-hate. He finally knew the reason why his father told him to stay hidden.

There was a chance that this unknown girl would kill him as soon as she saw him and right now he was convicted whether to have her or not. He already knew his father was a dangerous man, the flashes from his childhood reminded him of that but, evil? Evil wasn't ever a word that came to his mind but right now there was no other way to describe him.

Shame clouded his head. Shame to be related to this man, shame to be his son. He finally knew the truth of the world. Finally knew the truth of his unnatural body.
