I was peering closely at everything. No letter provided any information about his brother, but they sure told me a lot about how much Dorian missed his father, and his brother didn't.
A specific picture drew my attention, it wasn't anything stark, just a normal picture of a teenage Dorian, probably eighteen or perhaps nineteen, in front of what I presume to be their hometown home.
It was a big house, the land covered in snow and not so amused Dorian. His eyes were so blue, contrasting with the snow and his hair falling down his forehead. He was sitting on a tree log covered in woollens, his face towards the camera. I noticed a faraway look in his eyes and shortly that he wasn't looking at the camera instead glancing in the direction of the house.
Before I could pour in more, the doorbell rang and I kept everything back in the bag. Keeping the bag away in my bathroom I went downstairs. Opening the door I found Amy standing with a bottle of wine in her hands.
"Hey," she said, smiling up at me.
"Hey, how are you?" I beckoned her in.
"I am good, just a little cold from the snow."
I laughed as I took her coat.
"It's sure snowing like crazy this year."
"True, I wonder when it will stop."
"I'd say, I hope it never stops because I love it, but I am also aware that it will be a huge problem so I guess I hope, soon.'
Soon, Amy was helping me set up the table, "you look better now" she said, as she watched me move around.
"I think so, I mean I won't lie that it hurts sometimes, a lot, but I suppose I don't have time to stop."
"And here I was thinking you were on a break."
I chuckled, "life's been pretty crazy lately."
"What do you mean?"
"Since Dorian, you know." I said sitting down, "things have been complicated, also today I came across this old lady, I mean I have seen her before while I was visiting Dorian, I think she lives in the house that's across the street from Dorian's and ... I don't know she acted weird"
"Weird?"
"Yeah, she just walked up to me from nowhere and said things like I knew you'd find him, save him, I knew you'd help him... I don't know, it was pretty frightening."
She nodded, "I can understand, although you should not worry much, maybe she's delusional, took you for someone else."
There was a point in her words, it could be possible at her age.
Amy glanced at me, "i..." She stopped, something different in her eyes, "I was wondering, but I don't know if I should bring it up."
"What is it?"
"I was wondering how is it possible that you know nothing about Dorian."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you know..." She shrugged, "it's a little bizarre that Olivia and Tanner both have something to do with Dorian, and it's not just anything, it's vital," she took a bite of her food, "they just didn't want me to tell you about the letter" her words hit me like an iceberg, chilling me to the bone.
"They knew about it?" I dropped my spoon, "they knew about the letter?" If they did then why were they acting so surprised when I showed it to them?
"Of course they did."
"But..." I started to tell her about their reaction and about how they asked me from where I got the letter, but a different expression on her face as she jabbed a fork in the food, stopped me.
