Nessa Jumped from branch to branch, moving with amazing agility, making her way back home. She was glad to be away from the 2 boys. They were interesting, but social interaction had always made her uncomfortable. She used sarcasm and hostility to hide it, but really, that whole conversation she had been downright terrified. When she arrived back at the little shelter, she grabbed a little food to eat, and then decided to head out to her training area. Maybe a little archery would help clear her head. She grabbed her bow and some arrows and went out to shoot some targets. After about an hour, she felt a lot better. The stress of social interaction had finally worn off, and she felt ready for a good night's sleep. She went back to her house, changed into her nightshirt, and went to bed.

The next day, Nessa was on a mission. She was running low on food, so she set out to find some apples. As she was up in a tree getting some (I swear this girl lives in trees), she spotted 2 familiar figures. One was wearing a red and white shirt, and the other was wearing a green button-down. Her instincts told her to get the fuck out of there, but she was curious to hear what they were saying. She quietly hopped over to the tree they were under to listen.

"She seemed interesting. We might see her again!" Tommy was saying. Tubbo looked doubtful. "I dunno man, she didn't seem very happy to be talking to us. if she did see us, she would probably avoid us." Nessa realized that they were talking about her, and she was torn between interrupting the conversation and continuing to listen. She finally decided on the first option, even though it would mean talking to people. She sat down on a branch and said "Back again?" The 2 boys, startled by this, looked up to find a slightly irritated looking Nessa.

"That scared the shit out of me!" Tubbo said, and Tommy said "Fuckin' stalker." under his breath. Nessa hopped down and landed on the ground in front of them with a soft thud. "I thought I said not to bother me again." she said, tail twitching. Tommy took a step forward. "Okay, first of all, dickhead, these aren't your  woods. We can go where we want. And second-" At this Tubbo pulled Tommy back. "Hello again Nessa! Just ignore Tommy. He can be really impulsive sometimes, and that usually leads to him yelling at people. We just wanted to see if we saw you again. We were curious about you. How did you know my name yesterday?" Nessa flicked her tail. "I overheard you and Tommy talking, and he said it." Tubbo nodded. "That makes sense. Tommy can be really loud- and annoying- sometimes." Tommy scowled. "I AM NOT ANNOYING!" he shouted.

Nessa winced and covered her ears. The boys looked at her. "Are you okay?" Tubbo asked, sounding concerned. She nodded and looked down, relaxing a little bit. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just have really sensitive hearing." (Sandiego here: This is an aspie thing. Sometimes, sounds get really magnified, or you lose your ability to filter out background noise. It sucks.) Tommy looked at her. "Sorry, I didn't realize." Nessa met his gaze and gave him a half smile. "It's fine. Anyway, I should go. I have stuff to do."

With that, she started to climb back up the tree. (AGAIN WITH THE TREES!?) Just before she disappeared into the leaves, she looked back and quietly called "Bye!"

A/N: Believe it or not, everything that you've read up until this point was written in the span of about 2 hours, in the middle of the night, on a typewriter. This is what happens when we are stuck in quarantine. ~SandiegoPlayer
